Chapter 241 Mr. Heilbronn Finally Got It

Cassius just grinned, keeping his thoughts to himself. He knew Nathaniel's rebellious streak all too well, so it wasn't a shocker if the guy had ticked some folks off.

He had the butler fetch a folder and slid it over to Nathaniel. "Pick one, man."

Nathaniel flipped through the folder, checking out all the properties. He finally zeroed in on a place close to Anne Studio.

The deets said it was a 2,500 square foot pad with a killer river view, on a floor he liked.

"Mr. Wilson, I want this one," he said.

Cassius took a sip of his tea and smirked. "Nice choice. That place was bought just last year, everything's brand new. Big windows, river view, it's what the young crowd digs. If you like it, go for it. No need to worry about money between us."

Nathaniel shook his head, firm. "Mr. Wilson, I'll pay whatever it's worth."

Even though his grandpa and Cassius were tight, Nathaniel didn't want to owe anyone. Plus, Cassius and Reed were just business pals. Nathaniel liked to keep things clean and simple.

Taking something from someone meant owing a debt, and debts had to be paid.

Cassius had the butler bring the keys and tossed them to Nathaniel with a grin. "Do what you gotta do."

Later, Nathaniel wired him the money at market price.

After sorting everything out, he finally had a car and a house in Coral Bay. He grabbed the keys and couldn't wait to check it out.

Saying goodbye to Cassius, he drove his new ride straight to the place.

The house on the sixteenth floor had a sweet curved balcony with floor-to-ceiling windows. From there, he could see the whole river. The inside was just as good. It wasn't his dream house, but it was pretty close.

Nathaniel lit a cigarette by the window, picturing Aurelia's handmade wind chime hanging there, the bells ringing with the breeze.

He imagined her wandering around in her loungewear, nagging him to drink less and get more sleep.

The smoke blurred his vision, making him feel like she was right there with him.

He told Zack to head back to the hotel alone to grab the luggage. From now on, Nathaniel was living here. They had brought a bunch of stuff and bought more over the past few days. It took Zack several trips to move everything.

Back in the car, Zack called his fiancée to update her on his schedule.

After hanging up, he scrolled through Facebook to chill.

When he saw Nathaniel's post, he was floored.

Based on his experience, Nathaniel, his usually reserved boss, rarely posted on Facebook. When he did, it was all work stuff.

Zack refreshed the page to make sure he wasn't seeing things.

Nathaniel had actually posted about a new car, saying it was something she liked, and then showed off a new house, with a caption saying he was waiting for her to come back.

The pics and text made Nathaniel seem like a lovesick teenager. The surprising part was that Nathaniel himself had posted them, an action completely uncharacteristic of him.

He couldn't help but like the post, thinking, 'Mr. Heilbronn finally knows how to chase a girl!'

Zack rolled up to Nathaniel's new pad and found that the guy had gone on a serious online shopping spree. Boxes of household stuff were already delivered, and Nathaniel was knee-deep in unpacking them solo.

There were bedding sets, double quilts, pillows, kitchen gadgets, aprons, pink bunny slippers, cute pink PJs, and even a full set of skincare products.

Light blue curtains were already up, and the place had totally shifted from Nathaniel's old minimalist vibe to something that screamed Aurelia's style.

Zack took it all in from the doorway. After lugging everything inside, he squatted down to help with the unpacking.

Nathaniel had traded his usual CEO swagger for the persona of a dedicated homemaker.

He carefully arranged the stuff, checking every nook and cranny, feeling like he still hadn't nailed it. When it came to details, he knew he was no match for her.

Out of the blue, he asked, "Zack, think I need to buy anything else?"

Zack finished unboxing the last package, which turned out to be a set of couple's toiletries, complete with towels and toothbrush cups.

Handing the items to Nathaniel, he said, "Mr. Heilbronn, from my years of living with my fiancée, I'd say you should get some new clothes for Mrs. Heilbronn."

He added, "And remember, a woman's wardrobe is never full; there's always room for more."

Nathaniel nodded, realizing Zack had a point. "You're right, I need to get some clothes, shoes and bags."

Thinking about bags brought back some bad memories. He had tried to buy bags to make her happy, but it ended up making her think they were just compensation after they hooked up.

"Bags, forget it," he muttered. "Jewelry, that's the ticket. She loves that stuff."

Over the years, he hadn't missed a single jewelry auction back home, snagging rare pieces, all locked up in a safe at Imperick. He figured he should find time to bring those over.

Zack pulled out a file folder from his briefcase, sent by Imperick, and reported, "Mr. Heilbronn, the property transfer documents are here. Everything's in order."

Nathaniel put down what he was holding and opened the folder.

Inside were documents prepared by the company's legal team four years ago, all notarized and stamped, detailing the division of his assets. Everything—properties, shares, cash, vehicles—was to go to Aurelia, leaving him with zilch in a divorce.

These papers had never made it to Aurelia because of that incident.

For the past four years, he hadn't touched this file, as it brought nothing but pain.

Now, he finally had a chance to give it to her.

Meanwhile, at the Semona Family Villa, Aurelia had been moping around for days, convinced she hadn't done anything wrong and shouldn't be living in fear.

Since fate had thrown them back together, she decided to face it head-on.

No more hiding. She'd been low-key enough these past few years.

But now, she felt it was time to stop living so secretly.

She had dreams too. Back in school, she dreamed of creating her own jewelry brand that would go global, not just running a small studio, taking on tiny orders.

Aurelia thought long and hard for a few days and made up her mind.

The next day, she asked Joe's assistant to help her register a company. She was ready to create her own brand.
