Chapter 406 Bring Back a Championship

Nathaniel agreed to it right away.

After hanging up the phone, Nathaniel contacted a courier company to send off the two large items. He used a huge box and packed it with thick vacuum compression film.

The shipping cost was quite substantial.

After finishing all this, Reed called back, "Do you know about Marcus?"

Nathaniel hesitated for a moment. He hadn't dared to mention this to Reed and didn't know where Reed had gotten the information. Since he asked, he must be well aware of Marcus being detained.

"Grandpa, I just found out too."

On the other end of the line, Reed was silent for a few seconds, "Book me a flight. I'll go to Coral Bay with you."

"Grandpa, don't worry. There's a misunderstanding in this matter. I'll handle it when I get to Coral Bay."

Reed snorted, "If your son were detained, wouldn't you be anxious?"

Nathaniel was at a loss for words. Anxious? Of course, he was.

"Grandpa, I'll have my assistant book your flight. We'll be on the same flight, leaving the day after tomorrow."

At the Heilbronn Villa, Reed hung up the phone and sat in the study with an extremely grim expression.

"Ted, why does the Heilbronn family keep having legal troubles this month?"

Ted poured a glass of water and placed it on the table, "Mr. Heilbronn, please don't say that. The Heilbronn family is doing just fine."

Reed was in a foul mood and knew his butler only said what he wanted to hear, "Has Marcus's medical certificate been issued?"

"Mr. Heilbronn, I've contacted the hospital director. It will be stamped and ready for pickup tomorrow."

Reed gripped his cane, not wanting to speak, but it was clear he was deep in thought. Ted, who was taking care of him, was also troubled.

Having just been discharged from the hospital a few days ago, the Heilbronn family had been plagued with issues. Reed couldn't afford to hear such things while recuperating, so Ted tried to share some good news.

"Mr. Heilbronn, I'll pack your things tomorrow. When we get to Coral Bay, let's stay a few extra days. The kids' summer vacation is almost over; you can spend more time with them."

"Go ahead and pack. Bring my wife's photo and some basic necessities. We'll buy the rest when we get to Coral Bay."

Ted responded, "Alright, I'll fill your suitcase and check it in at the airport."

Time flew by, and the departure day arrived. Reed decided not to bring Ted this time, as Nathaniel's place might not be ready, and an extra person would be inconvenient.

Early in the morning, everyone at the Heilbronn Villa was bustling around. Considering that airplane food might not be to Reed's liking, the servant prepared some delicate low-sugar desserts for him to take along, along with some washed and packed fruits, as if they were taking care of a kindergarten child.

When Nathaniel's car arrived, Reed was sitting impatiently on the sofa, "I'm not going on a sea voyage. Why are you packing so much stuff? It's just a burden to carry all this."

Ted smiled, "Mr. Reed Heilbronn, the flight will take several hours. You can snack on these to pass the time. Besides, Mr. Nathaniel Heilbronn will help you carry everything; you won't have to lift a finger."

Reed looked annoyed, "Alright, just these then. No more. It's a hassle to get through security with too much stuff."

In his opinion, a single suitcase would suffice, but the more they packed, the more it felt like moving house.

Nathaniel glanced at the packed items on the floor, feeling a bit overwhelmed, "Ted, we can't take any more. I only have two hands."

For once, the grandfather and grandson agreed. Ted told the servant to stop packing and just take what was already on the floor.

Before leaving, Reed asked, "Did you pack Marcus's medical certificate?"

Ted quickly replied, "Yes, it's in the folder in the suitcase. You'll see it when you open it."

Reed finally felt at ease and got into the car.

Nathaniel couldn't help but ask, "Grandpa, did you know Uncle Marcus has mental issues?"

Reed squinted slightly, "I'm old, not stupid. I can tell my son is struggling with depression."

Reed was well-informed and had known about Marcus's condition since he sought medical help. The doctor had explained everything to him.

Bipolar disorder, with several years of illness, made it quite difficult to treat.

Reed was worried but didn't dare to bring it up. He had been fretting over how to guide Marcus, and then this incident happened.

Upon hearing that Marcus had followed Aurelia to Coral Bay and done something outrageous, he was extremely anxious. He knew his son well; Marcus had always been gentle and polite, never doing anything out of line. If it weren't for the severity of his condition, he wouldn't have done something so absurd.

This was not something to be spoken of lightly. Reed hadn't told anyone in the family, not even his eldest son, Matthew.

But facing his grandson, Reed wanted to discuss it. "Marcus has mental issues, which is why he offended Aurelia. His detention—did you have a hand in it?"

Nathaniel was taken aback. He was innocent!

"Grandpa, I found out about this around the same time as you. It was Joe."

Reed sighed, "Indeed, such an incident on The Semona Family's turf wouldn't be easily overlooked by Joe. I'll personally apologize to Aurelia this time, but I must get Marcus out."

Nathaniel lowered his eyes. He was actually worried that Marcus might harass Aurelia again once released. Even if he went to Coral Bay, he couldn't guarantee to keep an eye on him all the time. After all, Marcus was a person, not an object that could be locked away.

"Grandpa..."

Reed understood his concern, "I'll take him to see a doctor. His illness can't be delayed any longer."

This time, Nathaniel didn't respond.

Coral Bay.

Aurelia received an honor letter from Dawnon today. She had won first prize in the Cynthia Jewelry Design Competition she had entered a while ago.

Winning this award was entirely within Aurelia's expectations. She had been following this competition every year, and it was after winning this award that Lolly, her identity in the design world, began to make a name for herself.

She had the confidence and the ability.

Given the competition's reputation in the industry, this win would undoubtedly make her famous again, just like Lolly did back then.

The employees at Karma Jewelry were thrilled to hear the news. In such a global competition, making it to the top ten was already an achievement, and their boss had won first place.

Who wouldn't be excited about that?

Everyone wanted to spread the word, letting those around them know that they worked with such a high-caliber colleague. It was a matter of pride.
