Chapter 324 He Can't Live Without Me

Ashley, who had been listening for a while, could no longer bear to see Chelsea being bullied by this group of people.

She lifted the hem of her dress and ran to the front, angrily scolding,

"You bunch of blind old fools.Chelsea's my sister-in-law. She's part of the Heilbronn family. Aren't you afraid my brother will punish you for pushing her like this?"

Ashley was known for her high-profile personality, and everyone in the circle knew her. Who would dare to mess with the young lady of the Heilbronn family?

When she said Chelsea was her sister-in-law, people were skeptical.

The group stopped their attack on Chelsea and observed the situation.

After all, Nathaniel was not someone they could afford to offend. If they angered Nathaniel, they could forget about doing business.

Even if there was a fifty percent chance of this being true, it was enough to shock everyone present.

Seeing that she had controlled the situation, Ashley became even more smug. She didn't believe there was anyone in Imperick who wasn't afraid of the Heilbronn family.

Ashley glanced at Aurelia and said with a sneer smile,

"What are you doing in Imperick again? Stealing someone else's stuff? Are you so attracted to things that don't belong to you? Is that why you keep attacking Chelsea? Can't live without my brother, can you?"

Aurelia gave her a disdainful look and laughed mockingly. She thought Ashley might have matured over the past four years, but it seemed she had overestimated her.

Ashley felt uncomfortable seeing Aurelia's smile. If you have something to say, say it directly. What's with the smile?

"What are you laughing at?"

Aurelia replied indifferently,

"Laughing at your stupidity. You're in your twenties and still act like a kid. Hasn't Reed paid your tuition these past few years?"

Ashley was a bit embarrassed and angry. She had a quick temper and couldn't stand being provoked. Aurelia's words hit a sensitive nerve.

"What did you say? How dare you speak to me like that, you woman abandoned by my brother?"

Aurelia had come to handle serious business and didn't want to argue with someone so uncouth in front of so many company employees. But Ashley's words were too harsh.

"Ashley, listen up. It's not that I can't live without your brother, it's that he can't live without me. All of Nathaniel's assets are now under my name, including the Bugatti you're driving. Isn't that infuriating?"

Ashley was so flustered that she started to stutter,

"What are you dreaming about?"

She was so agitated she wanted to hit someone, but the next second, she heard a thud beside her.

Chelsea had fainted!

Ashley held back her anger and called her friends over to help. A group of people carried Chelsea to a comfortable place.

With the crowd dispersing, things finally quieted down a bit.

Everyone calmed down and started thinking about the company's future direction. They needed a leader.

The shareholder who had been the most vocal earlier took the lead and asked,

"Ms. Semona, is this gentleman as our CEO?"

Aurelia introduced him solemnly,

"This is Patrick. He has extensive management experience and will not disappoint everyone."

During the earlier commotion, no one had heard clearly. Now, hearing Patrick's name, everyone was stunned. After a moment, someone asked,

" Is this the business genius from Coral Bay, Patrick?"

People found it hard to believe their ears. Patrick was a frequent figure in financial magazines. How could he come to their small company? It seemed unbelievable.

But looking at the distinguished gentleman beside Aurelia, he did resemble the face they had seen in magazines. In person, he looked even more impressive.

Aurelia smiled and said,

"Yes, that's right. This is Patrick. He will be our new CEO and will take Thompson Enterprises to greater heights. I hope everyone will cooperate."

Some seasoned shareholders immediately grinned,

"I must have been blind not to recognize Patrick. It's an honor to work with Patrick!"

"Patrick, I appreciate your guidance."

"Patrick, I'm the head of the finance department. I'll organize this quarter's reports and send them to your email tonight."

Everyone started talking, finally feeling motivated. With Patrick leading them, they believed the company could reach new heights.

Patrick had originally been sent by Joe to back her up, but it seemed he wasn't needed. Joe's seemingly frail sister had already taken control of the situation with her commanding presence.

"Everyone, we're all colleagues now. I've been entrusted by Aurelia with this important role, and I can't do it without your support. Let's work hard together. I promise that within a year, the company's profits will double."

Talking about profits made everyone happy.

It was the first time they had heard a leader so confident.

Patrick's confidence filled them with hope for the future.

At this moment, a voice came from the door,

"From now on, all of Eden Industries' orders will be handled by Thompson Enterprises."

Everyone turned around. Wasn't this their business partner, Gabriel, the president of Eden Industries?

Usually, getting him to sign a deal was very difficult. Gabriel had said that only Norman was qualified to negotiate with him. But now, he had come uninvited and offered to give all his orders to Thompson Enterprises.

This sudden change in attitude left the company's employees puzzled. Especially the marketing department, which had previously failed with Gabriel.

Gabriel walked in with his beer belly, heading straight for Aurelia and Patrick.

"Patrick, Mr. Semona, you won't mind me coming uninvited, will you?"

Aurelia was not unfamiliar with him; they had played golf together before.

"Of course not, today is our Thompson Enterprises' annual meeting, and Gabriel is here to bring us business. It looks like our company's performance will double next month."

Gabriel's eyes darted between Aurelia and Patrick, and he said with a grin,

"Mr. Semona, we'll sign any order from now on, and we'll give you a three percent discount. We'll even take defective parts!"

Gabriel let slip what was on his mind in his excitement.

Aurelia and Patrick exchanged a glance, finding it a bit strange.

Patrick, being an experienced businessman, knew that money offered on a silver platter shouldn't be refused. If Gabriel was trying to set a trap for Thompson Enterprises, why would he accept defective parts? It was clear he was willing to do business even at a loss.

Unless he was either foolishly rich or had someone foolishly rich backing him.

After exchanging a look with Aurelia, Patrick immediately called over the marketing manager,

"What unsold defective parts do we have in the warehouse?"

The marketing manager nodded vigorously,

"We have a lot."

Patrick turned to Gabriel and asked,

"How about we sign the order today?"
