Chapter 94 A Talented Wife

"Today, no overtime; let's leave now."

He lowered his head and pecked her lips again, feeling more addicted to her alluring lips.

Aurelia's cheeks were teased to a rosy hue by him.

Nathaniel finally let her go, went back to his desk, took his phone, and made a call.

"Zack, come up and bring the car keys."

Outside the door, Zack glanced around awkwardly and replied, "Mr. Heilbronn, I'm upstairs."

Zack's voice could be heard from outside without the need for a phone.

Aurelia turned around and saw the people waiting outside, feeling shocked.

In addition to Zack, Luna was also there, holding documents in her hands. Not far away stood the manager from the marketing department. Their expressions clearly showed they were shocked by the major secret they had just discovered.

Undoubtedly, everything that happened in the office just now must have been seen by them.

Aurelia covered her hot face, feeling the urge to run away. On the other hand, Nathaniel showed no sign of emotion, maintaining his usual serious and composed demeanor that was totally different from the one he had when he had just pressed Aurelia against the door and kissed her forcefully.

"Come in."

Nathaniel shouted into the receiver and then hung up the phone.

Zack entered the room with the other two.

Luna smiled even more warmly at Aurelia and carefully considered whether she should address her as Mrs. Heilbronn the next time they met.

"Aurelia, I have stamped this agreement. The salary adjustment takes effect immediately. The company and you each have a copy. Please keep it safe."

Aurelia awkwardly took the salary adjustment form and thanked him.

Luna subtly curled her lips and glanced back at Nathaniel,

"Mr. Heilbronn, if there's nothing else, I'll leave."

Aurelia wanted to follow Luna to leave, wanting to escape this awkward place quickly. This was just her own thought.

"Aurelia, sit there and wait for me."

He openly called her in front of everyone, and Aurelia obediently sat on the sofa, waiting for him to finish his work, wondering if he really didn't want to hide their relationship anymore.

After he finished his work, he took her hand on the sofa,

"Let's go home," he said, ignoring the manager who had just finished reporting work and stood aside dumbfounded.

He held her hand and led her downstairs, taking the employee elevator, not letting go of her hand until they reached the underground parking lot.

"What do you want for dinner?"

At this moment, Aurelia had no interest in discussing dinner with him. She was still basking in the profound joy and happiness that came from realizing he was no longer concealing their relationship.

"Why are you being so silent?"

Seeing her not speaking, he joked.

"If you're not going to talk, let's eat outside. Oscar's new French restaurant has great foie gras. How about we go for a free meal tonight?"

Aurelia nodded. "Okay."

Zack slowly drove the car out of the parking lot, merging into the traffic.

"Are the condoms at home used up?"

Aurelia was startled by his words, as they had just been discussing dinner, and the topic suddenly shifted to condoms.

"We don't need to buy more."

She replied absentmindedly, thinking that she would talk to him about having a baby during dinner later. Therefore, they wouldn't need condoms at home for a while.

"But what should we do today?"

Aurelia glanced at him sideways, feeling upset that he still didn't want a baby.

"We don't need condoms. Your feelings are the most important."

Aurelia wanted to cover his mouth. “Stop talking nonsense..."

Zack, who was driving, felt like he was in the wrong place with the CEO spouting romantic words. He felt he should be under the car, not inside it.

Unfortunately, it was rush hour, and the traffic ahead was congested. Zack focused on holding the steering wheel and looking ahead, afraid of accidentally glancing in the rearview mirror at something he shouldn't see.

At that moment, Nathaniel's phone rang inappropriately. He took out his phone, glanced at it irritably, and pressed the reject button.

Soon, the phone rang again.

Aurelia caught a glimpse of the word 'Chelsea ' on his screen.

"You should answer."

Aurelia knew Chelsea well. If this call didn't go through today, they wouldn't be able to have a peaceful meal. Chelsea would keep calling until the phone ran out of battery.

Nathaniel hesitated for a moment before answering.

She didn't know what was said on the other end of the phone, but she watched as his expression gradually turned serious, giving her a bad premonition.

After hanging up the phone, he let go of her hand,

"Aurelia, go home first. I have urgent matters to attend to."

Aurelia's breath caught in her throat. "Is it her heart acting up?"

"No, you don't need to worry. Just go home and wait for me."

Nathaniel rubbed his forehead, looking visibly worried.

Aurelia couldn't understand what had happened to make him, who was usually so composed, show such an expression.

"I'll call Oscar to come pick you up."

Zack had already parked the car by the roadside. Aurelia stared at him blankly. "Will you come back tonight?"

He said, "I will."

Aurelia got out of the car and stood by the roadside, watching his car speed away, merging into the traffic, until only a red dot remained.

She took a deep breath and clenched her fists. The ring on her ring finger was pressed against her skin, leaving a mark.

He said he would, so she would wait.

She felt she had been too lenient with Chelsea, and this time, she wouldn't easily let go.

Oscar pulled up in a Bugatti. "Aurelia, get in."

Aurelia snapped out of her thoughts and got into the car.

"You changed cars again?"

Oscar chuckled. "I don't have any other hobbies. I just like playing with cars. That miser Nathaniel won't let me touch his limited-edition Bentley. Last time I just mentioned it, do you know what he said?"

Before she could ask, Oscar continued on his own, "He said, 'Wives and cars are not to be lent out.'"

Aurelia politely smiled, and even Oscar could sense her low spirits.

"Aurelia, cheer up. Today, I will definitely treat you well and take you for some excitement."

With that, he stepped on the gas and overtook the car in front, the exaggerated engine noise drawing the attention of many passersby.

Aurelia never expected that the excitement Oscar mentioned would be taking her to an amusement park.

It had been years since she had been to a place like this. When she was a child, she would pester Norman to take her there, but the only response she ever got was, 'Dad's busy; find your mom.'

If she pestered her mother, Brenda Semona, Brenda would comfort her for a while, saying, "Wait until Dad has some free time, then we'll go together."

In the end, she never got to go to the amusement park with Norman, and this place became a small regret from her childhood. Now, looking at the scenery before her, Aurelia felt deeply moved.

Oscar came back with a lot of snacks. He was just a wealthy playboy with not much on his mind. He drove luxury cars, wore designer clothes, and did not mind eating roadside snacks after dining at a five-star hotel.

"Aurelia, try this!"

Aurelia felt that he was genuinely trying to take care of her emotions, and her mood improved slightly.

They sat outside the amusement park eating snacks, completely unconcerned about their image.

They strolled around the amusement park, only riding the carousel, as she didn't dare to try the thrilling rides now.

It wasn't until Aurelia returned home and lay down on the bed that she had a chance to check her phone.

There were more than 99 unread messages on Facebook.

Nathaniel's photos of her at the company were circulated in various group chats, and when she opened the internal company website, the top post discussed her relationship with Nathaniel.

[Shocking news. The boss’s wife is hidden so deeply in our design department]

High-definition photos, taken from various angles, had been posted. They vividly captured Nathaniel's flirtatious advances towards Aurelia in the office.
