Chapter 392 Strawberry Flavor or Vanilla Flavor?

Nathaniel finished speaking, and the two fell into another period of silence.

Aurelia felt quite comforted by this cautious explanation. His attitude significantly improved her mood.

She asked, "In your mind, am I really such a jealous person?"

Nathaniel took a deep breath, "Aurelia, you're not angry?"

"Are you silly? If you tried to hide something like this from me, that would be a problem. Admitting it openly, why would I be angry?"

Nathaniel wiped the sweat from his forehead, "Honey, I kind of miss you."

This sudden straightforward affection left Aurelia momentarily stunned, "What are you babbling about? You're just a probationary boyfriend, not yet passed the test. You need to try harder."

Nathaniel said pitifully, "I will try harder. I'm flying to Coral Bay in three days. If there's anything you want me to bring, let me know in advance."

"I just got back, there's nothing I need. Just make sure you bring your own stuff and don't forget anything. I'm not packing for you this time."

Speaking of packing, Nathaniel felt miserable. Ever since Aurelia left, he always forgot something on his business trips, no matter how careful he was, he couldn't be as meticulous as she was.

"Aurelia, should I bring some desserts?"

Aurelia facepalmed. During her time in Imperick, she had gained a lot of weight, almost developing a belly. Nathaniel was always cooking at home and frequently buying desserts, feeding her indiscriminately.

"Better not, it's easy to gain weight."

Nathaniel could tell from her tone that she wanted to eat but was restraining herself. He smiled and replied, "Got it, I'll buy less."

Aurelia remained silent. Did he not understand?

"Why didn't you call me later yesterday?"

The sudden change of topic left Nathaniel momentarily speechless. He had felt unwell after leaving the hospital and went for a therapy session. Later, Mark urged him to sleep, and he felt much better after waking up.

He didn't dare to hide anything from her anymore and said directly, "Aurelia, after leaving the hospital yesterday, I went to see my therapist."

Aurelia's heart tightened, "Did you throw up again?"

"No, just felt a bit uncomfortable. Mark prescribed new medication. It's nothing, don't worry."

"Why do you have such severe psychological issues?"

Nathaniel pretended to be relaxed, "Aurelia, it's not that severe. It's much better now, just occasional insomnia. Don't you know why I'm sick?"

Aurelia didn't believe him. From what she knew, a man like him wouldn't seek medical help unless it was serious.

Aurelia sighed on the other end of the line, and Nathaniel heard it clearly.

"Aurelia, when can you get your phone back? I want to see you."

"Grandma is asleep now. I'll ask her tomorrow morning. I have to go to work, so she should give it back to me."

"Call me on video as soon as you get your phone back."

"Well."

Nathaniel felt a pang of bitterness at her "well." What kind of answer was that? It was perfunctory yet gave him hope. In the past, when he was on business trips, she would call him on video eight times a day.

Now, the roles were completely reversed; he, the CEO, had become the clingy one.

She said, "It's getting late. I need to sleep. You should rest early too."

Nathaniel held onto his phone, reluctant to hang up. He had waited all day for this call and finally got in touch with her.

"Aurelia, I want to hold you while I sleep."

Aurelia was about to hang up when she heard this sweet talk. Getting Nathaniel to say something sweet was incredibly difficult.

Before their divorce, at the Bloom Villa, she had tried countless ways to get him to say something nice, but never succeeded. Hearing such affectionate words from him was more surprising than the sun rising from the west.

Aurelia put down the half-opened face mask and picked up the phone watch again, "Mr. Heilbronn, do you want to do more than just hold me while you sleep?"

This question hit Nathaniel right in the heart. He couldn't tell that Aurelia was being sarcastic, "Aurelia, don't you want to?"

In over four years, almost five, he had nearly forgotten what it was like to make love with someone he loved. He could hardly imagine it.

Aurelia cursed him in her heart.

"Go to sleep. In your dreams, you can have anything."

Nathaniel didn't give up on asking for benefits, "Aurelia, when I get to Coral Bay, can we..."

"Depends on your performance."

She didn't outright refuse but told him to behave well. Nathaniel was instantly overjoyed. Her words meant there was a chance.

As long as there was a chance, he wouldn't be discouraged.

"Then you sleep. I'll be there in three days."

"Okay."

Aurelia was about to hang up when Nathaniel's voice came through the phone watch again.

"Aurelia, your preferences haven't changed, right? You still like strawberry and vanilla flavors?"

It took Aurelia a moment to realize what he meant by strawberry and vanilla flavors, and her skin turned red.

Talking about this on Dorothy's phone watch felt wrong.

"Nathaniel, I haven't agreed to anything yet!" She roared into the phone.

Nathaniel chuckled softly, "I'll prepare just in case. If we need it, we won't be caught off guard."

Aurelia felt speechless.

Aurelia quickly pressed the hang-up button, not knowing what more outrageous things Nathaniel might say next.

She now felt that Dorothy's phone watch was no longer pure.

Nathaniel stared at his phone screen, dazed for a few seconds, unable to wipe the smile off his face. He decided to sleep in the office's rest room tonight. He didn't have the courage to go back to the villa alone.

Just three more days. He would finish his urgent work and then fly to Coral Bay to find her.

He slept until noon, not feeling sleepy at all.

The phone from the Heilbronn Villa rang, and Nathaniel thought it was Ted, but it was Reed.

"Grandpa, why are you still awake at this hour?"

Reed sighed, "When one gets old, it's normal to sleep less, isn't it?"

Nathaniel worried that today's events had affected his grandfather's mood. The hospital had advised that his grandfather needed to rest regularly and eat a balanced diet.

"Grandpa, about today..."

Before he could finish, Reed praised him, "You did very well!"

Nathaniel was stunned by the compliment. It was the first time he had heard such direct praise from Reed. Usually, he would get scolded a few times.

Although he knew he wasn't completely useless in his grandfather's eyes, this praise still made him a bit proud.

"Grandpa, I'm planning to arrange my urgent work and go to Coral Bay in about three days. Would you like to come with me?"

Can't win me back
