Chapter 274 Greasy

Everyone in the office was holding their breath, waiting for the news. "Mr. Heilbronn, we got the address. It's in Coral Bay, Willowshire County."

Nathaniel heard Willowshire County again, just like Chris had told him before. The place was huge, making it a nightmare to find anyone. "Can you be more specific?" he asked.

The tech guy said, "Sure, I'll send it to your phone right now."

Nathaniel grabbed his phone and saw the detailed address. His brow furrowed. [Willowshire County, Emerald Lake Villa.]

He remembered clearly that the last time he sent Dorothy somewhere, it was to Emerald Lake Villa, Joe's place.

Nathaniel didn't have much to do with Joe, either in business or personally.

The only time they crossed paths was four years ago when Joe said some weird stuff to him on the cruise. Nathaniel thought about how he'd been hitting dead ends trying to buy a house in Coral Bay, and suddenly, it all clicked.

Nathaniel had been hunting for J for ages and finally found him. If J had the guts to hack the Heilbronn Group's system, he should face him directly!

"Zack, has Joe's real estate project reached Imperick?" he asked.

Zack wasn't sure why Nathaniel was coming up now, but seeing his face, he had a pretty good idea. "Mr. Heilbronn, the Semona Family's real estate project in East City has got a plot of land, and I heard they've already started building."

Nathaniel said, "Check if their paperwork is all in order."

"Got it," Zack replied.

With J's address uncovered, the three tech guys, having done their job, asked, "Mr. Heilbronn, do we still need to deal with this J?"

Nathaniel thought it over. This grudge needed settling. "Break into their company's security system!"

The three techs stifled their laughter, thinking the famous Heilbronn Group's president seemed even more childish than the J they just dealt with.

Nathaniel had someone dig deep into Joe's project in Imperick and found out it was missing a "Construction Land Planning" permit.

Feeling like a model citizen, Nathaniel picked up the phone and reported it to the authorities.

After all that, it was time for dinner. Nathaniel opened his Facebook chat with Aurelia, the last message still being her 'Oh.' He sent a message but didn't get a reply for a long time.

Nathaniel remembered Zack often saying that messages couldn't convey tone, couldn't show the other person's expressions. The most direct way was video. He didn't hesitate to hit the video call button.

At that moment, Aurelia had just gotten off the plane and grabbed her luggage. Seeing Nathaniel's video call, her first reaction was to decline it.

She saw the message he sent: [Aurelia, are you busy?]

Dragging her suitcase with one hand, Aurelia sent him a voice message: ''Mr. Heilbronn, do you need something? Your computer is locked in my office. If you need any urgent files, call my assistant. I can't help you right now.''

As she spoke, Patrick, having finished in the restroom, caught up with her and said, "Aurelia, I've never been to Imperick. Can you show me around?"

Aurelia put her phone in her pocket after sending the message. "Patrick, my friend is coming to pick me up. My brother sent you his house address, right? We can give you a ride."

Patrick didn't hesitate. He was in Imperick to help Aurelia, so letting her give him a ride was only fair, and it gave him a chance to get to know her better.

As they left the airport, Aurelia spotted Ulysses, tall and broad, scanning the crowd for them.

"Ulysses, over here," Aurelia called out, and Ulysses walked over to help with her luggage.

"How long are you staying this time?" Ulysses asked.

"I can't say for sure. It depends on how smoothly things go," Aurelia replied.

Ulysses noticed Patrick with Aurelia and, quickening his pace, whispered, "Who's the distinguished gentleman behind you?"

He thought Patrick might be Aurelia's new boyfriend. If they were dating, he would have to vet him for Aurelia.

Aurelia chuckled, saying, "Ulysses, let me introduce to you. This is Patrick from my brother's company. He's here to help me with some issues since I don't have much experience in that area. Can we drop Patrick off at my brother's place first?"

Hearing that Patrick was here to help, Ulysses naturally responded kindly, "Of course, we can't just leave Patrick stranded after he came all this way."

Ulysses' words implied that he considered Aurelia one of his own. He didn't think much of it, but Patrick shot him a hostile look, signaling that he saw Ulysses as a rival.

Ulysses raised an eyebrow, sizing Patrick up and mentally scoring him.

He thought to himself, 'His height is about the same as mine, so he passes that test. His looks are decent, but there's still a significant gap compared to Aurelia's stunning beauty. As for his demeanor, he seems rather casual, even a bit roguish—definitely not reliable! Most importantly, he looks about five years older than Aurelia—not a good match!'

Ulysses gave Patrick a failing grade.

They reached the car, and Ulysses put Aurelia in the front seat, leaving Patrick to sit in the back. With a press of the gas pedal, the car pulled out of the parking spot.

Patrick swayed slightly, frowning, but his gaze softened as it landed on the back of Aurelia's head.

"Aurelia, give me your number so we can meet up tomorrow morning," Patrick said.

Ulysses, hearing Patrick's greasy tone, mentally downgraded his score to negative.

Aurelia felt a bit awkward. Patrick had been overly familiar the entire trip, despite her repeated insistence that it wasn't necessary.

"Patrick, my brother sent me your number. I'll call you now so you can save mine," Aurelia said.

She dialed his number, and within seconds, Patrick's phone rang.

"Aurelia, let's have a phone call tomorrow," Patrick said.

Aurelia responded affirmatively.

"Aurelia, what time should we leave tomorrow? Should I come to you, or meet at the office?" Patrick asked.

"Patrick, let's meet at the office. My brother gave you his car keys, right?" Aurelia said.

Patrick swung Joe's keys in his hand, saying, "Got them right here. I'll come pick you up. No point in letting Joe's car go to waste. Send me your address."

Aurelia suddenly remembered that Patrick wasn't familiar with Thompson Enterprises. She had a lot of materials he needed to review in advance. She was going back to reclaim her position and needed to be fully prepared. This time, she couldn't let Chelsea succeed.

"Patrick, let's meet in the morning to go over the details and prepare before heading to the office. Do you think that's okay?" Aurelia asked.

Patrick, exuding confidence, was unfazed by the task. He and Joe had faced many challenges over the years, and dealing with rookies was no big deal. He readily agreed to Aurelia's suggestion, saying, "Sounds good. Let's have breakfast together tomorrow."
