Chapter 138 Addressed as Mrs. Heilbronn
Fireworks burst in the sky above the sea, creating a dazzling display. Petals fell, leaving streaks of light in the air, resembling a grand meteor shower.
Aurelia was mesmerized by the sudden fireworks display. To her, the baby in her belly was also a surprise, bringing light into her darkest moments and giving her hope for the marriage she had once given up on.
In the distance, more fireworks continued to illuminate the sky, one after another, as cheers echoed on the yacht.
Aurelia's eyes couldn't take in enough of the colorful spectacle.
Nathaniel watched her being captivated by the fireworks, his excitement interrupted. Women enjoyed such extravagant displays, and Aurelia, who typically had little material desires, was no exception.
He had thought Aurelia only liked jewelry and hadn't noticed any other hobbies she might have.
"Do you like it?" he asked.
Aurelia nodded. Like every woman, she enjoyed fireworks.
"If you do, we can come alone next time."
The sea breeze picked up, coinciding with a burst of fireworks in the sky. The yacht's cheers drowned out Nathaniel's voice. Aurelia only knew he was speaking but couldn't make out his words.
As they watched the fireworks, no one noticed a woman in a light pink dress with delicate makeup in the public restroom, vomiting uncontrollably.
Ashley held a bag in one hand and a water bottle in the other, looking concerned. "Chelsea, are you okay? How have you been vomiting since boarding the ship?"
Chelsea, feeling nauseous and with tears in her eyes, replied, "Ashley, give me some water."
Ashley quickly unscrewed the bottle cap and handed it to Chelsea, watching her suffer with worry. "Have you been eating something wrong these past few days? People might think you're pregnant, vomiting like this non-stop without taking care of yourself. Let my brother hire a nanny for you, at least. How can you continue like this? Prolonged vomiting can damage your stomach. Tomorrow, I'll take you to the hospital. You can't keep this up."
Chelsea paused, then turned to Ashley, "Ashley, what did you just say?"
Ashley sighed, "You didn't hear a word I said, did you? I said I'll take you to the doctor tomorrow."
Chelsea suddenly smiled, "Not that. Did you say I look like I'm pregnant?"
Ashley nodded, "Pregnancies in TV shows look like that."
Leaning against the sink, Chelsea felt her mood brightened. How silly of her not to realize she was also a woman capable of having a child!
She checked her calendar on her phone, unable to recall her last menstrual period.
Feeling nauseous recently, especially on the yacht, she now understood why.
Placing a hand on her abdomen, Chelsea remembered the last time she made Nathaniel stay overnight at home. The timing was about right. As long as she insisted the child was his, she firmly believed he wouldn't doubt her in such matters.
Ashley watched Chelsea's emotional rollercoaster and asked in confusion, "You're not really pregnant, are you?"
Chelsea couldn't help but dry heave again. Once she recovered, she held Ashley's hand. "Ashley, chances are you are going to be an aunt. Tomorrow, I'll make a doctor's appointment to confirm it. It seems like I am pregnant."
Ashley's mouth dropped open in shock. "I'm going to be an aunt? Oh my goodness! What should I prepare as a gift for my nephew?"
Chelsea chuckled, "Look at you—more excited than I am. It's not confirmed yet, but if it is, you, as the aunt, will have plenty of chances to give gifts."
Feeling excited beyond words, Ashley exclaimed, "You're amazing! Aurelia has been married to my brother for three years without any luck to bear a baby. Nathaniel definitely hasn't touched her, or she can't conceive."
Chelsea looked worried. "Ashley, the relationship between me and your brother is special, with Aurelia in between us, and your grandfather doesn't approve of us..."
Chelsea's voice choked up.
Ashley reassured her. "Don't worry. I'll take care of this. While Grandpa didn't approve of you two before, the circumstances have changed. If you're carrying Nathaniel's child, there's no reason for a Heilbronn to be cast aside. Despite Grandpa's stern appearance, he's actually very kind and will give you an answer."
Chelsea wiped away tears.
Ashley asked, "Does Nathaniel know about this great news?"
Chelsea shook her head. "You're the first to know."
Ashley felt honored. "I'm indeed the child's aunt. Alright, with such explosive news, you should personally tell Nathaniel. I believe he'll be ecstatic."
Chelsea was excited, already envisioning Nathaniel's reaction upon learning she was pregnant.
Had Aurelia not dared to tell Nathaniel she was expecting? Even Ashley didn't know, let alone the entire Heilbronn family.
It seemed she wasn't faring well within the Heilbronn family. It was just a brief moment of glamour on the surface. Behind closed doors, Nathaniel probably wouldn't even want to look at her.
What could be the reason for a woman not daring to tell her husband she was pregnant?
Chelsea felt a surge of determination. She couldn't wait to share this news with Nathaniel. "Ashley, let's go out."
Ashley supported her arm, protecting her carefully, afraid of any accidents that might harm her nephew. As they walked, Ashley comforted Chelsea, "Don't worry. The child in your belly is the future heir of our Heilbronn family. A child brings honor to a mother. I don't believe that woman, Aurelia, can do anything about it!"
Ashley spoke with pride, finally having a way to punish Aurelia. It would be best to drive Aurelia out so the Heilbronn family would have no one to compare her to in the future. Reed wouldn't even save seafood for Aurelia's return.
She thought Aurelia, with her ordinary background, was unworthy.
The fireworks show had ended, and the yacht was filled with laughter and joy. The guests, including Heilbronn Group employees and their families, as well as some specially invited celebrities and dignitaries, were all enjoying themselves. They indulged in delicious food, expensive red wine, and engaging conversations, with some even dancing.
As Ashley and Chelsea made their way through the crowd, they saw Aurelia linking arms with Nathaniel, engaged in conversation with a distinguished-looking man.
Aurelia wore a stylish dress that exuded sophistication. Her light smile gave her an air of elegance, almost as if the words "Mrs. Heilbronn" were written on her forehead.
That smile filled Chelsea with disgust. She thought she should have been the one standing beside Nathaniel, and it was Aurelia who had taken everything away from her.
Chelsea's presence sparked a wave of gossip.
"What? is that Chelsea?"
"Oh my, it really is her. How dare she show herself here? Doesn't she feel ashamed?"
"I heard she once pretended to be the CEO's wife in the design department. Some people are shameless enough to do that. Mr. and Mrs. Heilbron have such a good relationship; they probably don't even know who Chelsea is. What a big liar!"
"I know about this. I work in the design department. Chelsea did indeed claim to be Mrs. Heilbronn, ordering everyone around in the department every day. We all thought she was the boss's wife and treated her like one. But Mrs. Heilbronn herself was quietly working in our department, so understated. Chelsea had become a complete joke."
"Any other juicy gossip? We want more."
After the plagiarism incident, Chelsea no longer cared about the judgmental looks of her former colleagues. With the baby growing inside her as a secret weapon, she knew that sooner or later, everyone would address her as Mrs. Heilbronn.
