Chapter 328 Conclusion

Aurelia's palms were sweaty as she pushed through the crowd, quickly making her way to the center.

When she saw the person lying on the ground, she was shocked.

Chelsea was lying on the ground, pale-faced, while someone was performing CPR on her.

Aurelia's initial anxiety turned into a complex mix of emotions. She couldn't help but suspect that she was faking it. Chelsea's eyes were closed, but her eyelashes were trembling.

Faking death or illness was Chelsea's forte.

Chelsea's greatest trick was pretending to be weak to garner sympathy, casting herself in the most pitiful role to manipulate others.

Aurelia turned around and locked eyes with Nathaniel.

She thought Nathaniel would be worried and rush over. But Nathaniel's face was expressionless, almost as if he was watching a show.

The friend who knew CPR had been performing it on Chelsea for a while, panting as he knelt on the ground. He pried open Chelsea's eyelids and checked her pulse, finding nothing seriously wrong, but she still wouldn't wake up.

He had never encountered such a situation before.

Human life was paramount, so he decided to try mouth-to-mouth resuscitation. He pinched Chelsea's chin to open her mouth, but just as he was about to lean in, the supposedly unconscious person kicked him.

Everyone fell silent.

The colleague who had just performed CPR on Chelsea was stunned. The supposedly unconscious person didn't seem so weak after all. That kick must have left a nasty bruise on his leg, which was now throbbing with pain.

Someone in the crowd shouted joyfully, "She's alive, she's alive!"

At this moment, Chelsea slowly sat up from the ground. The first person she saw was Aurelia standing in front of the crowd. Her gaze then shifted to Nathaniel, and she couldn't help but burst into tears.

Nathaniel just watched her, almost dying. He didn't rush to hold her and take her to the doctor as he used to, nor did he immediately ask how she was feeling or if she was in pain.

Instead, Chelsea saw an indifferent expression.

The colleague who had just performed CPR on Chelsea shouted, "Everyone, disperse. The air is bad when you're all crowded around, and she might faint again."

Seeing that there was no serious issue, the crowd quickly dispersed. Only Ashley stayed by Chelsea's side, afraid her best friend might faint again.

Once most people had left, Chelsea, with red eyes, asked, "Nathaniel, are you really going to ignore me?"

At this moment, Aurelia felt overwhelmed and suffocated by the atmosphere; she felt suffocated. She turned to leave, but Nathaniel grabbed her wrist, squeezing her palm gently as if to comfort her.

"Your illness, you know best. Whether it can be cured and when it will be cured is up to you. Even the doctors can't help." Nathaniel said.

He had already found out about the money Chelsea had received over the years and the doctors she had bribed. Chelsea was indeed generous, paying each doctor millions of dollars in hush money. That kind of money could tempt anyone.

The doctors Chelsea had bribed had shown Nathaniel her medical records.

To his surprise, Chelsea's frequent bouts of illness, hospitalizations, and heart attacks were all faked!

These were her means of manipulating him.

Chelsea's heart tightened at Nathaniel's words. Had he found out?

The next second, Chelsea started sobbing.

"Nathaniel, my heart feels a bit uncomfortable. I've been through some stress today. But Aurelia probably didn't mean it; she might have thought my heart condition was already cured. It's okay, I don't blame her."

Aurelia watched Chelsea coldly, her heart ached.

Chelsea's heart condition was cured, using Aurelia's mother's heart!

Nathaniel despised Chelsea's habit of treating everyone like idiots. Even after he had spelled everything out for her, how did she have the audacity to bother Aurelia again?

"Chelsea, I've said everything I needed to. Stop playing these little games; it's really disgusting. You've had a heart transplant, so stop filling it with such toxic thoughts. Don't waste the gift you were given. Don't waste someone else's organ. As for us, there's nothing left. I never had feelings for you. We had a friendship, which you insisted on ruining. I can't continue with this anymore."

Chelsea sat on the ground, stunned. The next second, she collapsed as if all her strength had been drained. So, he had found out everything.

Chelsea was now at a loss for words.

All the tricks she had used to deceive him were her own ideas, but why did she do them? Wasn't it to keep Nathaniel by her side?

Even so, she couldn't keep him. Nathaniel's heart was still with that woman he had a flash marriage with, and he didn't even want to touch Chelsea. She even had to fake a pregnancy.

"Nathaniel, I love you so much. Yes, I did deceive you, but I don't regret it. At least it meant I could spend more time with you, have you notice me a bit more We've known each other since we were kids," Chelsea said.

Nathaniel said coldly, "I was good to you before because I was grateful you saved my life. But I've already repaid that debt. However, you still owe my wife, and we need to settle that. I won't tolerate you disrupting my life anymore."

Chelsea was dumbfounded. She never expected Nathaniel to settle scores with her in such a public setting, completely disregarding her dignity.

Chelsea sat on the ground, crying miserably, but no amount of crying could earn his sympathy.

Nathaniel was exceptionally calm. "I've already gathered evidence of all the evil things you've done. My lawyer has handed everything over to the police. Wait for the police to come for you."

Nathaniel had long gathered the evidence. He hadn't immediately handed it over to the police, allowing Chelsea to flaunt her arrogance until now because he felt he owed Aurelia an explanation.

The relationship between him and Chelsea needed to be resolved among the three of them, or Aurelia would never be able to move on.

Aurelia remained silent from start to finish. Seeing Chelsea's hateful face and thinking about her mother's heart inside Chelsea's body, she felt incredibly uncomfortable.

"Chelsea, I won't let you get away with what you did to my mother!" Aurelia said.

Chelsea sneered. At this point, what was there to be afraid of?

"Aurelia, don't pretend to be a saint here. My mother has already paid the price. You had her imprisoned and tortured in jail, leading to her tragic death. After she died, her body was thrown out, and you weren't satisfied. You even had her heart fed to dogs. Is that something a human would do?"

Aurelia felt physically ill at the thought of these bloody scenes.
