Chapter 387 Still Need to Find Someone Considerate

Nathaniel glanced at the electronic bracelet on Chelsea's wrist. "Isn't it just probation? Why are you running around?"

"Even on probation, I have to go for regular check-ups. It's allowed."

Nathaniel's lips curled into a mocking smile. "True, you still need to protect it."

Without the leverage of the baby, how could she get probation?

"Excuse me, I need to leave." Nathaniel pressed the car key, but Chelsea leaned against the hood, showing no intention of moving.

At that moment, Nathaniel's phone vibrated wildly in his pocket. He took it out and saw it was a call from Aurelia. He had repeatedly told her to call him as soon as the plane landed, and judging by the time, her flight should have just arrived.

He didn't immediately answer. Chelsea crossed her arms and calmly watched him, then walked over a few seconds later.

Nathaniel hung up the call and put the phone back in his pocket.

"Why didn't you answer, Nathaniel? Afraid Aurelia will find out you came to see me again?"

"Me, looking for you?" Nathaniel laughed sarcastically. "In your dreams!"

Chelsea was immune to such cold sarcasm and continued to lean indifferently against his car door.

"Then go ahead and answer. I also have something to ask Aurelia. We haven't talked in a while."

"Go back and protect your unborn child. After all, that's your trump card now."

Mentioning the child made Chelsea's face turn cold. She remembered how ruthless he was when he forced her to take those deadly pills. He truly hated her.

Chelsea stiffened her face and stepped aside.

Nathaniel didn't give her another glance and started the car, driving away from the hospital.

Aurelia had just gotten off the plane, and Cathy had sent a driver to pick her up. She remembered his pitiful expression when she left and called him as soon as she turned on her phone, but he didn't answer.

She cursed under her breath and put the phone back in her bag.

The Semona Mansion.

Cathy had ordered a feast to be prepared. She hadn't seen her precious granddaughter and the two kids for a while and missed them dearly. Knowing how bad airplane food was, she had the kitchen busy all morning, buying and cooking food.

By the time Aurelia and the two kids arrived, it was past mealtime. Everyone else had already eaten, and the table was set just for the three of them.

Aurelia took out the gifts she had bought for everyone. Cathy was overjoyed to see her precious ones back home.

"Alright, let's eat first. We can look at these later. The food will get cold. Sit down and tell me what happened in Imperick. Is the company doing well?"

Aurelia put down the gifts and obediently sat at the table. "Grandma, the company is stable now, thanks to the people my brother sent. I couldn't have managed alone."

Cathy sat down and watched them eat. "I know you can do it. Your mother was smart, and so are you. Even without help, you'd eventually take control."

Aurelia felt embarrassed by the praise, as if her grandmother was calling her a genius.

Cathy, who hadn't seen them in a while, was even more enthusiastic than usual. "Aurelia, tell me, have you encountered anything special recently?"

Aurelia recounted how she took back the company in Imperick, got Chelsea imprisoned, and how Norman was involved in an economic case and would be in jail for life.

Cathy was deeply moved. "Justice may be delayed, but it will not be absent. Evildoers will eventually pay for their deeds. Well done, Aurelia."

Aurelia thought of Nathaniel and cautiously mentioned him. "Grandma, actually, someone else helped me this time. It wouldn't have been so smooth on my own."

Cathy, having lived so long, understood these things well. "That man came looking for you again?"

Aurelia paused with her fork in hand. "Grandma, he actually helped a lot."

After taking over the company, Aurelia noticed some unusual contracts from the marketing department. Who would buy scrap at high prices?

Initially, she suspected it was Nathaniel's doing. Later, during a meal with Gabriel from Eden Industries, she confirmed that Nathaniel was the actual buyer.

She never exposed this, giving him respect, but she remembered his kindness.

Without those deals, Thompson Enterprises would have faced a financial crisis. Managing a company wasn't like running a household; balancing income and expenses wasn't easy.

The first priority was to ensure the employees' livelihoods, and at that time, the company didn't even have enough money for next month's payroll.

Nathaniel had saved Thompson Enterprises from a dire situation.

Cathy pondered after hearing Aurelia's words.

"Aurelia, I want you to be happy, but I don't want to see you fall into the same trap twice. That guy from the Heilbronn family is good in business, but not the best choice for a husband."

"You need to think carefully. Men are naturally drawn to challenges; the harder it is to get something, the more they want it. Have you considered that his current attentiveness might be driven by a desire to conquer?"

"Grandma, I'll think about it carefully."

Cathy continued to advise for a while and finally said, "I am old, and what I'm telling you comes from the heart. Your mother's situation is my lifelong regret. I didn't discipline her strictly, and she met a bad man and lost her life."

"I won't let the same thing happen to you. The women of the Semona Family are all beautiful, smart, and wise. We shouldn't be foolish in matters of the heart. I understand it's not easy for you to raise two kids alone. I have many friends, and their children are excellent. I'll find some good men to introduce to you."

Aurelia felt choked. She had only mentioned Nathaniel's help to improve his image in her grandmother's eyes, not expecting it to lead to so much.

Now, her grandmother was determined to find her a man.

Aurelia looked embarrassed. "Grandma, there's no need to introduce anyone."

"Don't be shy in front of me. I've seen more of life than you. You have a long life ahead, and you can't spend it alone. You need someone who cares for you."

"I hope you can let go of the unpleasant things, whether they are favors or grudges, and start anew. Leave those draining matters to your brother. The Semona Family has plenty of men to back you up."

Just as Cathy finished speaking, Joe came in, loosened his tie, and casually sat at the table. "Someone giving you trouble? Tell me about it."

Can't win me back
