Chapter 465 The Men Around Her

Aurelia took out the ticket at the bottom and found that besides Phoenix's artistic signature, there was also a drawing of a little bear's head.

"Thank you," Aurelia said again, putting the ticket into the drawer. "Do you want some coffee?"

Phoenix quickly replied, "Yes."

Aurelia called out to Aurora through the door, "Make two cups of coffee and bring them in."

Aurora soon brought in two cups of coffee, reluctantly leaving while looking back repeatedly.

Phoenix took out his phone, snapped a photo of the coffee, and posted it on Instagram with the caption: [Never thought coffee could taste this good.]

Nathaniel saw this Instagram post an hour later, but it was Zack who noticed it first and handed the phone to Nathaniel.

"Mr. Heilbronn, doesn't this desk look a bit like Ms. Semona's?"

Nathaniel took a look and found that it wasn't just similar.

It was exactly hers!

Nathaniel couldn't sit still, leaving his half-finished work and heading downstairs.

At that time, Phoenix was still at Karma Jewelry, having tried coffee, juice, and tea, and had been pulled by a group of fangirls to take numerous photos. To pursue Aurelia, he was willing to go all out. Normally, he wouldn't get this close to fans.

Phoenix didn't know if Aurelia had noticed him doing all this.

Phoenix didn't dare to directly confess his feelings, afraid of scaring her away, especially since he wasn't yet familiar to her.

He just had a love-at-first-sight feeling for Aurelia. The first time he saw her, his heart pounded uncontrollably, almost as if it wasn't his own.

When Nathaniel walked in, he saw Phoenix wandering around Karma Jewelry as if it were his own home.

"Phoenix, come out!"

Nathaniel's voice drew everyone's attention.

Phoenix used to be a bit afraid of him as a child, but after getting familiar, he treated him like a big brother. Now seeing Nathaniel at Karma Jewelry, he thought to himself, 'Why is this annoying guy here?'

"Nathaniel, you seem quite free today?"

Nathaniel frowned, "I think you're even freer. No gigs? Blacklisted?"

Nathaniel's words made everyone's hearts tremble. How could their idol be blacklisted? No way! Phoenix would be popular forever!

The office staff used to think Nathaniel and Aurelia were a good match, but now they all sided with Phoenix, thinking Nathaniel was a big bad guy whose words were hard to accept.

Phoenix didn't care. The entertainment industry was his playground. If he ran out of resources, he could just have his family invest in a production, and he could easily get the lead role.

Of course, he had the talent to make a name for himself in the entertainment industry without relying on his family. He was adored by women of all ages.

Phoenix replied indifferently, "Starting to shoot a commercial tomorrow, so I took half a day to learn about the company culture to ensure I deliver what Ms. Semona wants. After all, I can't take the money for nothing; I have professional ethics!"

Nathaniel smirked. Over the years, Phoenix become slick, no longer the easy-to-bully child, now full of smooth talk.

"Let's talk outside." Nathaniel led him into the stairwell, and when no one was around, he grabbed his ear and pushed him against the wall, threatening, "What are you doing here?"

Phoenix, unyielding, said, "Looking for my goddess. What's it to you?"

Nathaniel tightened his grip, twisting his ear. "From now on, consider her your sister-in-law, got it?"

"No way. She hasn't acknowledged you as anything. Are you getting ahead of yourself?"

Seeing Phoenix's stubbornness, Nathaniel knew he had to use tougher measures!

"Should I tell the media about you getting chased by a dog and wetting your pants as a kid?"

Phoenix looked embarrassed. How many years ago was that? Why was Nathaniel still bringing it up? He thought for a moment. Nathaniel knew all his dirt, and if he really pissed him off, he might actually leak something to the media.

Phoenix had to lower his head, "Nathaniel, let go first. You're too old to be pulling people's ears."

Nathaniel was about to let go when he heard Phoenix mocking his age. Being in his twenties was a big deal? As if no one else had been twenty.

"Maybe I should tell the media now, let your fans know the stories of their idol's childhood. You got chased by a dog and wet your pants, climbed a tree and tore your pants, and in elementary school, you were taken to get circumcised, crying for the nurse to save you, saying you didn't want your genitals cut off."

Just hearing these made Phoenix awkward. Why did Nathaniel have such a good memory? Was there a way to make him lose it?

Phoenix, still fuming, looked up and saw Aurelia standing at the stairwell entrance, looking displeased.

Both were so focused on their confrontation that they didn't notice Aurelia coming to find them.

At that moment, Phoenix truly understood what it meant to feel embarrassed. The earlier feeling was nothing.

Aurelia must have heard everything.

Phoenix broke free from Nathaniel's grip, covered his face, and ran down the stairs, leaving behind the sound of hurried footsteps.

Aurelia asked in confusion, "What's wrong with Phoenix? Did I scare you guys?"

Nathaniel snapped back to reality, "Nothing. Why did you come here?"

"I heard from the staff outside that you were here. I couldn't find you, and Aurora said you two went into the stairwell, so I came to check."

"Did you hear anything?"

Aurelia responded with a 'hmm?' and then said, "No, what were you talking about?"

Nathaniel smirked, "Phoenix thought you heard and got scared off."

Aurelia's curiosity was piqued, "So what were you talking about?"

Nathaniel held back. He had to save some face for Phoenix. He was just threatening him; if he really told the media, the guy might lose fans.

"Just some guy talk." Nathaniel brushed it off.

Aurelia snorted lightly, "Fine, don't tell me. It's not like I care."

After a pause, Aurelia asked, "What are you doing here at this time? Not working?"

Nathaniel raised his eyebrows helplessly. Of course, he had work, busy as hell.

He moved the company here to fend off men with intentions towards her, chasing them away one by one, pushing work to the back.

If Aurelia got taken away, what was the point of work?

Of course, Nathaniel wouldn't say this out loud. He replied lightly, "I have work. I'll head back to the office. You get busy, see you tonight."

Aurelia watched him walk down the stairs, the same stairs Phoenix took, and seemed to realize something, "You didn't come here just to catch Phoenix, did you?"

Can't win me back
