Chapter 347 A Family of Four

Aurelia asked him directly, "What is it?"

Nathaniel glanced at the terrace, signaling her to go over there. His expression was serious, so Aurelia followed him.

Nathaniel took out a cigarette and held it between his fingers without lighting it. The wind gently tousled the strands of hair on his forehead. Aurelia remembered that he didn't used to smoke so much; he only smoked occasionally.

"Aurelia, do you have an older sister or a younger sister?"

This was something he and Aurelia had both thought about. Aurelia had even suspected she might have a twin sister, but she had never seen this imagined sister growing up. Brenda had never mentioned it, and even Norman had denied it.

Aurelia was filled with doubts.

"Nathaniel, I actually don't know. Norman said my mom only had one child, and that's me."

Nathaniel took out his phone. He had saved the photos from the email and opened the album to show her.

"Aurelia, there's someone halfway around the world who looks exactly like you."

Aurelia saw the couple in the photo and felt a chill down her spine. The person with Marcus not only looked like her but even had the same style of dressing.

"Nathaniel, that's not me."

Aurelia didn't even know why she felt the need to explain this to him.

Nathaniel chuckled softly.

"Of course, I know it's not you. You don't have the ability to clone yourself."

Aurelia thought of Marcus's obsessive gaze and couldn't help but tense up. She was really afraid he might do something crazy.

"Did you see the message?"

Nathaniel had received the message Aurelia had screenshotted and sent to him. He hadn't had a chance to reply all afternoon, so it was better to talk about it in person now.

"Aurelia, do you want to stay somewhere else for the next couple of days? Marcus is a deep thinker, and I'm not sure what crazy things he might do."

Nathaniel had ways to deal with Marcus, but he also thought this might be an opportunity. If handled well, it could give him more chances to spend time with his family.

Aurelia wasn't that scared initially, but after Nathaniel raised the question, she felt very uneasy. She believed he would protect the children, but Marcus's target was her!

"Where should I go?"

She looked panicked.

Nathaniel couldn't help but reach out and ruffle her bangs.

"Aurelia, don't be afraid. I'm asking you to move to avoid trouble, not because I'm afraid of him. Do you trust me?"

Aurelia looked into Nathaniel's calm eyes and nodded numbly. He had a charisma that made people want to trust him and follow his lead.

Nathaniel raised an eyebrow,

"Pack some things later. Dahlia and Betty will stay here to watch the house. You, Jacob, Dorothy, and I will leave."

He didn't directly answer where he was taking her, and Aurelia suspected she was falling into his trap.

"I'm not going to your house."

Nathaniel chuckled softly.

"It's not my house; it's your house."

After dinner, Aurelia packed some clothes. She didn't have many of her own, mostly the kids' stuff. The more she packed, the more there was, and she ended up filling two large suitcases.

Nathaniel waited in the downstairs living room for a while. When he saw her struggling with a large suitcase at the top of the stairs, he quickly ran up to help.

The two kids followed, and for the first time, the family of four was going out together.

As they were leaving, Jacob shouted to make sure his robot was put in the car.

Nathaniel had never felt so grateful to Marcus. If it weren't for that lunatic, he wouldn't have had this opportunity to take his wife and kids out together.

The car drove out of the city, and the surroundings became quieter and quieter.

Finally, they parked at a lakeside villa.

By now, night had fallen, and a bright moon hung in the sky. Nathaniel looked up, feeling incredibly relaxed.

"Aurelia, kids, we're here."

It was an unfamiliar place. The two kids were a bit excited. They were bored at home and always wanted Aurelia to take them out, but she never had the time.

Nathaniel opened the trunk, and before he could move, a few tall, burly men appeared out of nowhere to help with the luggage.

Jacob saw his robot in the hands of a strong guy and shouted anxiously, "That's my robot! Be careful, be careful!"

Nathaniel stood at the door with his hands on his hips, overseeing the situation. He instructed the bodyguards moving the items, "Be careful with my son's toy. Don't break it."

After everything was moved inside, the bodyguards disappeared as if they were invisible.

Nathaniel went inside to check. The house was clean and arranged according to his instructions.

"Aurelia, I bought this house under the name Oscar. Besides Oscar and Zack, no one knows about this property. You can stay here. The bodyguards outside won't show themselves unless needed. If anything happens, you can call them anytime."

Aurelia looked around. This place was indeed safer than her home, but why did it feel like he was hiding her?

Nathaniel started walking upstairs.

"Let me show you around."

He had only been here once since buying the place. While he said he was showing Aurelia around, he was also unfamiliar with it. The house hadn't been renovated yet, so he had Zack bring in some furnishings and set up two children's rooms.

The master bedroom and the children's rooms were on the same floor.

Nathaniel stopped at the master bedroom door. "Aurelia, you stay here. Dorothy and Jacob's rooms are across the hall."

Before he could finish, the two kids had already found their rooms. Dorothy's was a princess room, decorated in pink. Jacob's room was filled with elements boys liked.

The two kids were satisfied with their rooms, but Aurelia stood outside, hesitant to go in.

"Nathaniel, I'll stay in the guest room."

Nathaniel gently guided her by the shoulders into the room.

"Aurelia, only three rooms are ready. The other rooms aren't livable yet. Just stay here. If you need anything, I'll get it for you."

Aurelia didn't need much. She wouldn't be staying long anyway, but she did have one concern.

"Nathaniel, how am I supposed to get to work?"

She had been observing the surroundings on the way here. They were already out of the city, and getting a cab wouldn't be easy.

Aurelia thought Nathaniel would come up with a convenient solution, like lending her a car or assigning her a driver. After all, he had so many cars in his garage, most of which were just collecting dust. He only drove the Bentley regularly.

But to her surprise, he calmly said, "I'll drive you."

Can't win me back
