Chapter 494 Very Handsome Today

The next day, Nathaniel picked up Aurelia and the kids from The Semona Villa. After dropping the kids off at school, he headed towards the office.

Aurelia was touching up her makeup in the passenger seat.

"Hey, Aurelia, I can't do lunch today. If you need anything, just ask the kitchen at The Velvet Palate to send it up. And don't go out alone, okay?"

Aurelia put her lipstick back in her bag.

"Are you swamped today?"

Nathaniel parked the car downstairs.

"Not too bad. Grandpa's hair has grown out, and he didn't bring many decent clothes to Coral Bay. He can't meet your grandma just like that, so we need to get him ready. I'll be with him."

Aurelia nodded.

"Do you need me to come along?"

"No, you focus on your work. Just remember not to defend me too much in front of your grandma. She might think you've chosen me over your family."

Aurelia still felt a bit uneasy.

"My grandma is actually pretty open-minded. She just had a bad impression of you before. If you behave well, she'll change her mind."

Nathaniel smiled.

"Don't worry, I'll handle it."

Aurelia got out of the car with her bag and headed to the office.

She had promised Nova a refined design for her wedding jewelry, and it was ready. She took a photo and sent it to Nova, who called within minutes.

"Aurelia, it's gorgeous! Even better than I expected. We can have the factory make it now. I'll transfer the money to you."

"This set is a gift for you. No need to pay. I have a partnership with Caleb, and I owe him. This jewelry is a way to make it up to you."

Nova waved her hand dismissively, already hoping Aurelia would marry Caleb.

"Aurelia, you don't need to keep track of things with Caleb. He does everything for you willingly. Just ask if you need help. He'll always make time for you."

"Nova, stop talking nonsense."

Nova surrendered.

"Alright, alright. If you won't take the money, I'll let Caleb repay the favor. Also, when are you setting up your counters? My friends are eager to buy your jewelry. They're ready to swipe their cards."

"The counters are being set up. Within a week, Karma Jewelry will have counters in four cities. We're also planning standalone stores. Tell your friends not to worry, there will be plenty of jewelry."

"Got it. I'll let them know."

After hanging up, Aurelia joined an online meeting with Imperick. Thompson Enterprises had officially been renamed Zenith Enterprises Group.

Under Patrick's management, Zenith Enterprises Group was back on track. Recent revenues had turned positive, and they had secured several steady partners. Everything was improving.

With Patrick in charge, Aurelia didn't have to worry about Zenith Enterprises. She could focus entirely on Karma Jewelry.

In the afternoon, employees reported on the progress of setting up counters. So far, two locations had been confirmed. Next, they needed to hire experienced staff and start selling.

Aurora was tasked with recruiting, and Karma Jewelry was set to expand.

The first big earnings were just around the corner.

After a busy day, nearing the end of work, Aurelia finally had a moment to enjoy a cup of hot tea and check the latest news.

On Instagram, the positive energy continued. The negative comments had disappeared, replaced by numerous apology messages from people who had previously insulted her.

These people had likely received court notices and were now regretting their actions. They were hoping for Aurelia's forgiveness and withdrawal of the lawsuits.

Aurelia skimmed through the apology messages and closed them, pretending not to see.

She wouldn't sympathize with them. This time, they had met their match. Who knows how many kind, vulnerable people they had bullied before? They needed to face the consequences. Otherwise, they'd think they could insult others online without any cost, becoming even more brazen.

The online environment needed cleaning up, even if it was just a small effort.

Nathaniel called right as she was about to leave.

"Aurelia, are you done? I'll come pick you up."

Aurelia stretched and walked to the window. Nathaniel's car was parked downstairs, the driver's window down, his arm resting on it, his watch glinting in the sunlight.

"I'm coming down."

Aurelia locked her office door, grabbed her bag, and headed downstairs. As she exited the elevator, she saw Nathaniel waiting in the lobby.

"Weren't you in the car?"

"I wasn't comfortable. I wanted to come inside to get you."

Aurelia laughed.

"The car is just a few feet from the building. Do you think I could get kidnapped in those few feet?"

"Better safe than sorry. I can't take that risk. The online harassment seems to have died down, but we can't rule out someone still looking for a chance to harm you."

Aurelia adjusted her hair and got into the car.

"You have a point. But when will I be able to live without being so cautious?"

"Aurelia, just a little longer. I'm always with you, so it's not inconvenient. Wherever you want to go, just call me."

"Alright."

Nathaniel started the car.

"We need to pick up Grandpa. He's been preparing all afternoon and can't wait."

When they arrived at the apartment complex, Reed was directing Marcus to load boxes into the car. In the boxes were gifts for Aurelia's family, and there was already a pile on the ground. Marcus was running back and forth, fetching more.

Reed, dressed in a custom-made suit, looked sharp and energetic. He held a beautifully wrapped box with the Heilbronn Group logo.

Nathaniel parked the car and, before getting out, gave Aurelia a knowing look.

"Grandpa even dyed his hair to look younger."

"Yes, he looks very young today."

Aurelia took a closer look at Nathaniel. He had also gotten a haircut, shaved clean, and was wearing a new suit she hadn't seen before. She complimented him.

"Mr. Heilbronn, you look very handsome today."

Nathaniel adjusted his tie.

"Does this suit look okay? It's a light, gentle color, hoping to make a good impression."

Aurelia saw he was serious and reassured him.

"It looks great. Don't worry. My grandma isn't just about appearances. Besides, your looks will only help."

Nathaniel, in a good mood, unbuckled his seatbelt and got out to help Reed.

Can't win me back
