Chapter 146 Leave the Bloom Villa Without Nostalgia
"I fear nothing since I haven't done anything wrong," Aurelia said calmly. "I've already said what I needed to say. I didn't drug her. If you still don't believe me, have it tested in a professional lab. There won't be my fingerprints on it."
With that, Aurelia left with her bag while Chelsea cried out from behind, "Nathaniel, how can you let her go? She's the one trying to harm our baby."
"Stop it!" Nathaniel left after saying those words, leaving a crying Chelsea and a stunned Ashley behind.
The yacht docked in the afternoon. Nathaniel urged Zack to speed up, and the car raced to the Heilbronn Group building's parking lot.
"Bring Aurelia's design draft over right now," he instructed Zack. This matter had been weighing on his mind all morning, and he was eager to uncover the truth.
He hoped she was Lolly while praying that she wasn't. He was conflicted.
Zack, unaware of why Nathaniel needed this, hurried to find the draft. In a few minutes, he appeared again with the original design.
"Mr. Heilbronn, here it is," Zack said.
Nathaniel took the design draft and carefully examined it. Not finding anything, he picked up a magnifying glass from the pen holder and focused on the linking part. A cleverly designed 'X' appeared.
During the previous incident of Chelsea's plagiarism, Swan Company had mentioned that Lolly's design drafts always had her exclusive mark to prevent theft.
When it was compared with the blueprint Chelsea had stolen, the same 'X' mark was present, with the same stroke.
Nathaniel was shocked. It was indeed her!
She had lived with him day and night for three years, and he had never found that she was the renowned international designer, Lolly. This discovery left him momentarily stunned, and he found it hard to accept.
Recalling the moments they shared, she never avoided him while designing, occupying his study and desk, and littering the trash can with discarded papers.
He had always teased her about cluttering the study with her doodles, and Aurelia would only show a hint of displeasure, never arguing with him.
Aurelia had always been accommodating, with a soft nature that made him think she had no other skills besides pleasing him, just a pretty women suitable for keeping at home like a canary.
To him, her beauty was enough; she was just a woman, and he could afford to keep her.
He wanted her to be a homemaker, not flashy or wearing heavy makeup. She complied with his wishes, returning to family life over the three years with minimal social interactions.
Now, looking back on the three years of marriage, she seemed like a pearl, the brightness of which has been obscured by the days she spent in the Heilbronn family.
In the past three years, the renowned international designer Lolly, who had been creating one piece per month, had switched to two pieces per year, which saddened the circles of jewelry and fashion.
Now he understood why. Aurelia had given all her time to him, to this home devoid of warmth.
Nathaniel looked at the design draft in front of him, feeling unsettled.
As he was feeling restless, Chelsea called. "Nathaniel, I found a house I like and need money. You said last time..."
Nathaniel had promised her to move out and find a house on her own, providing her financial support.
"How much do you need?" he asked.
Chelsea told him the amount, and Nathaniel immediately transferred.
Aurelia returned to Bloom Villa and encountered Chelsea, who had returned from shopping. Showing her pregnant belly, Chelsea said, "I'll be living here from now on. I'm not very familiar with the area, so please take care of me, Aurelia."
Aurelia was taken aback. Her first reaction was that Nathaniel wanted to bring Chelsea into their home to care for her during her pregnancy. The thought made her churn. She couldn't bear to witness their happiness under the same roof.
Seeing Aurelia's confusion, Chelsea explained, "Nathaniel would worried about me if I live elsewhere, so he bought a house for me here at Bloom Villa. Don't worry. I won't move into your house. I don't want outsiders disturbing our family of three."
Aurelia's decision to divorce was firm. She thought it was for the best, allowing herself to let go completely. If the hurt were bad enough, there would be no more expectations.
"Your mindset is good. Enjoy life to the fullest. When Nathaniel finds out that he's raising someone else's child, who knows what might happen. You should save some money when you can. You know his cruelty," Aurelia coldly remarked.
Chelsea's expression changed. "What are you saying? The baby is his."
Aurelia chuckled. "Your promises mean nothing to me. Make Nathaniel believe it. You'd better pray he won't suspect and go for a test or something. I'm just reminding you to be prepared for anything in the end."
Aurelia then returned home, leaving Chelsea to stew in her anger.
The divorce agreement had been signed, and this time both of them were serious about it. Aurelia sat on the sofa in her room, feeling lost. She carefully looked at every corner of the house where she had lived for three years, feeling a sense of attachment.
But she understood that she had to let it go.
That night, Nathaniel didn't come back.
Aurelia tossed and turned all night, dreaming of Penelope, her mother, and Samuel.
Without fully asleepuntil nearly noon, she couldn't muster the energy because of her restless night.
She thought that Nathaniel probably wouldn't be coming back. Chelsea had moved to Bloom Villa, and she felt disgusted, unable to avoid the unethical couple in Imperick.
Aurelia decided to pack her things and move out.
She went to the dressing room and saw the neatly hung high-end clothes, feeling bitter. They had harmoniously shared this house just a few days ago.
He helped her choose clothes, tied her straps, and cared for her. Now, they were divorced.
Wiping away tears, Aurelia packed her luggage, including a few regular clothes and lingerie, along with the jewelry she had collected.
After packing everything, she realized the suitcase was still half empty. Over the three years, these were the only things she could take with her.
She pulled the suitcase out, and before leaving, she removed the ring from her ring finger and placed it on the bedside table.
In the living room, Betty saw her carrying the suitcase again. "Mrs. Heilbronn, what are you..."
Aurelia didn't want to cause a stir and lied, "I'm going on a short trip and will be back soon."
Betty relaxed, went upstairs to help her with the suitcase, and said, "Mrs. Heilbronn, pack properly and don't leave anything behind."
Aurelia nodded. "I know."
She left the house, got into her car, and drove directly to Ulysses' house. She was grateful to have a close friend in Imperick who could offer her a place to crush when she had nothing.
The guest room at Ulysses' house was still available for her, regularly cleaned, and Aurelia moved in directly.
"Ulysses, I'll be looking for a house tomorrow. Until I find a suitable one, I'll stay here," she informed him.
Ulysses, busy with a soft ruler around his neck, put down his work and accompanied her upstairs upon seeing her once again seeking refuge with him. "Have you really decided to leave this time?"
