Chapter 212 Baby's Celebration Banquet

Nathaniel heard the commotion and strode over. The maid's face was ashen as she looked at the teddy bear in the bed.

Nathaniel had asked her to keep an eye on Chelsea, and she failed again.

Nathaniel saw the empty bed and frowned deeply.

The maid, knowing she was in trouble, was on the verge of tears. After Chelsea had sneaked out and disappeared for an entire night previously, Nathaniel had stressed repeatedly that she must be closely monitored, not allowed to go downstairs, and no outsiders were allowed to enter the house.

Her eyes glistened with tears as she stammered, "Mr. Heilbronn, Miss Thompson was still here in the middle of the night. She claimed she had a stomachache and asked me to get her some water. In the blink of an eye, she was gone. Mr. Heilbronn, I swear I didn't let her leave. After your last warning, I've been very cautious. I sleep lightly and didn't hear the door at all."

She regretted bringing it up, but since she did, Nathaniel felt compelled to address the issue.

"Last time Chelsea went out for an afternoon stroll, she dug up my mother-in-law's grave at the cemetery. I asked you if she had left, and you swore she hadn't. I told you not to let her act alone, yet you allowed her to feed the fish downstairs, almost causing another incident. This time, you've lost her again."

Mard Hart, considering you've worked for the Heilbronn family for over a decade, I haven't held past mistakes against you, but three strikes and you're out. Pack your things and leave. The Heilbronn family's money isn't easily earned."

Mard burst into tears instantly. She begged, "Mr. Heilbronn, I'm sorry. Please don't fire me. I have a paralyzed husband and an unemployed son at home. I can't lose this job; it's our only source of income."

Nathaniel said coldly, "Every job comes with responsibilities. If you can't handle the responsibility, you don't deserve the salary. I'm not endlessly generous. Don't make me say something harsher."

Nathaniel was in a foul mood early in the morning.

He hadn't anticipated Chelsea would slip away right under his nose again!

In Coral Bay.

Aurelia was cherished by her entire family. The Semona Family had been searching for Aurelia for so many years, and after finally finding her and enduring such a perilous experience, they naturally treated her like a precious treasure.

Each of her meals was specially prepared by a nutritionist. Joe arranged for the most famous obstetrician in Coral Bay to visit the Semona Family villa, so Aurelia didn't even have to go to the hospital for check-ups.

Aurelia's health gradually improved. Recently, she had been eating a variety of blood-nourishing foods, and she looked more radiant than ever.

Fortunately, the baby was saved.

Joe bought her a new phone and got a SIM card under the name Cathy. At her request, the name Aurelia disappeared from Imperick.

She wanted to eliminate any possibility of those people discovering her existence and begin anew.

Her phone only had the numbers of a few relatives from this side, and she no longer logged into any social media accounts or followed any news where Nathaniel might appear.

As the months passed, Aurelia's belly grew noticeably rounder, a testament to the two babies she was carrying. A few stretch marks began to appear just below her navel.

Determined to care for her skin, she purchased a special oil and diligently applied it five times a day. During pregnancy, women's bodies were more sensitive due to hormonal changes.

However, for Aurelia, these few stretch marks were insignificant compared to the joy of welcoming new life.

Winter arrived in Coral Bay, and Aurelia wasn't used to the damp cold of the South. Cathy had a fireplace installed in the villa.

One ordinary night, she woke up feeling a warm gush and realized her water had broken. Drawing on the childbirth knowledge she had studied during her pregnancy, she immediately elevated her hips with a pillow to prevent all the amniotic fluid from leaking out.

The Semona family was abuzz with excitement upon hearing that Aurelia was going into labor, and the whole family followed the car to the hospital.

The two babies were in a breech position, and the doctor recommended a C-section.

It was New Year's Day, and just as dawn broke, her two babies were born, a boy and a girl.

Cathy was overjoyed. Such a joyous event of newborns arriving hadn't happened in the Semona Family for years. She adored both children immensely.

The boy and girl were beautiful, with fair skin like Aurelia's and long eyelashes. Even at birth, it was clear they would have large, captivating eyes.

Aurelia underwent a C-section, adding another scar to her body.

The two babies were registered under the Semona family name, as Jacob Semona and Dorothy Semona.

When the babies turned one month old, Cathy insisted on throwing a grand celebration, inviting the elite of Coral Bay.

Such a joyous occasion was worthy of sharing.

In a month, the two babies had grown even more adorable, with rosy cheeks that everyone praised.

Aurelia had a smooth postpartum recovery, and since the babies needed breast milk, all the nutrition she consumed turned into breast milk. By the end of the first month, she had regained her slender figure.

Today, she wore a high-end custom dress made by Cathy and had her hair styled in a princess braid, making her first public appearance as a member of the Semona family.

The event was grand, with fireworks costing millions and fine wines and gourmet dishes at the banquet.

Cathy held Aurelia's hand and announced to everyone,"This is my granddaughter Anne, just back from abroad. She will stay in Coral Bay from now on."

Aurelia's stunning looks and noble status quickly made her the subject of discussion among the socialites. Some men from prominent families even sent her their business cards.

Somebody remarked, "I heard that Anne's man died just after she got pregnant. What a pity!"

Someone chimed in, "Isn't it? With the Semona Family's background, she won't have to struggle for the rest of her life."

Another added, "She's beautiful and born into a prestigious family."

Aurelia could now handle such situations with ease. To the men who handed her business cards after just one meeting, she knew they were only interested in the Semona family's background, not in her as an individual.

She remained very calm and composed. Besides her two children, she had no emotional space for anyone else. Men and women alike held little significance to her now.

The grand event made Aurelia feel a bit uneasy.

She told Cathy and then pulled Joe to a quieter place, "Joe, will there be any photos from today's celebration leaked?"

Joe smiled and assured her, "Don't worry. Everyone handed in their phones at the entrance, and the bodyguards are keeping watch. No one has the chance to take photos, and no media would dare to mess with the Semona family. Trust me!"

Aurelia felt reassured. She trusted Joe completely.

She walked out of the pavilion, feeling a bit out of place amidst the lively crowd.

Once, she had been ignored by the person she loved most, feeling as significant as an ant. Now, she was cherished by her family and had become a lady of a prominent family. Despite this transformation, she still struggled to fully embrace her new identity and found it difficult to immerse herself in the surrounding excitement.

A gentle male voice came from behind. "Aurelia!"

Aurelia snapped out of her thoughts, almost turning around.

She suddenly remembered she was now Anne; Aurelia was dead.

The person behind her quickened his pace to catch up.

The person remarked, "Aurelia, it's really you."

Aurelia turned around nervously, then naturally smiled at the person, saying, "Sorry, sir, you have the wrong person. My name is Anne."

Can't win me back
