Chapter 74 When Does the Menstrual Period End?

Aurelia took a deep breath, feeling a bit more awake. Her hand rested on his shoulder, gently pushing,

"Nathaniel, get up."

If they continued like this, they might not be able to control the desire in their hearts.

Her weak willpower was entirely restrained by the little one in her belly.

Nathaniel let go of her and panted heavily against her neck. "Aurelia, help me."

Aurelia was stunned for a moment, her hand already being led to that hot place by him. She instantly understood what he meant by help.

They had been together for three years, and she had never done this for him. Every time she wanted to, she just did it, and he would never force himself.

"I won't."

Aurelia withdrew her hand, her voice trembling.

Just as her hand had withdrawn for a few seconds, he grabbed it back. "I'll teach you."

Time seemed to pass by unnoticed as Aurelia's hands grew sore.

Nathaniel carried her to wash up, then took her back to the big bed.

Listening to the sound of running water in the bathroom, Aurelia felt like her mind was downstairs in the media room. She couldn't think straight now, and the burning sensation in her palms persisted.

Clearly, Aurelia was taking advantage of him, and she felt so embarrassed she didn't know where to hide.

Nathaniel came out with a towel around his waist after showering. Seeing the person hiding under the covers and only showing her head, he couldn't help but chuckle, "Aren't you feeling hot?"

He walked over and pulled her out from under the covers. Aurelia's face still had an abnormal blush.

"You're so shy. How come you dared to wear seductive lingerie to seduce me back then?"

He brought up the first time again, which was an unpleasant memory for Aurelia. She said, "Please don't mention it."

"Alright, I won't."

He climbed onto the bed and pulled her into his arms, his lips stubbornly curved, refusing to let go.
"Let's not sleep in the guest room anymore; it's such a waste not to use this expensive mattress!"

"No one asked you to buy such an expensive mattress."
Nathaniel sneered, "Who was the one whose knees were all red last time? If we don't change to a comfortable mattress, your legs will be injured in the future."

Embarrassed, Aurelia wished she could leave at the moment. Didn't he understand why her knees were red? How could he blame the mattress?

Aurelia slept soundly and contentedly that night.

The next day, Aurelia was awakened by a phone call.

There was no trace of Nathaniel in the bed. He rarely stayed in bed, even if he slept late; his biological clock was as precise as a programmed machine.

Aurelia rubbed her eyes and looked at her phone. It displayed a familiar but unfamiliar number.

"Hello?"

"Can you sell or rent out this house? The people living in your house were so noisy yesterday, and it started again at 6 a.m. I've had enough."

Listening to the angry voice of the Jade Community downstairs owner, Aurelia instantly woke up.

She grabbed her phone and ran outside, seeing Nathaniel drying his hair as if he had just finished exercising and showering.

At that moment, her heart, which had been hanging, finally relaxed—it wasn't him.

She found it somewhat ironic that Chelsea claimed to love Nathaniel but was making love to other men in his house every day.

Watching the figure downstairs, she felt a tinge of regret.

Nathaniel was so good, and Chelsea didn't deserve his love.

If there had been any hesitation before, at the moment, she was determined to hold onto Nathaniel firmly and never let him go to Chelsea again.

"Why are you standing there barefoot?"

She looked down and realized she had rushed out barefoot, unable to come up with a good explanation for her strange behavior.

"Did you come out to find me?"

He dried his hair and walked up the steps.

Aurelia nodded. "I woke up and didn't see you."

Nathaniel cherished her in her most vulnerable moments, sensing that he could tease her at will.

"Are you always so clingy? I just woke up an hour earlier than you."

He draped the towel over his shoulder, bent down, and lifted her, walking towards the bed.

"It's Monday today. Time to get back to the grind."

"Okay."

"I have a dinner appointment with Mr. Sinclair from Sinclair Media tonight. You can come back and eat by yourself. Let Betty know what you want to eat."

"Okay."

"Why are you so obedient?"

Aurelia buried her face in his chest, smelling the scent of his post-workout body, which she felt was the scent of hormones.

Nathaniel asked, "Why aren't you saying 'okay' anymore?"

"Okay."

Nathaniel's chest lightly trembled. "It feels like I'm holding a robot in my arms."

Aurelia's heart sank. He was holding her like this, voluntarily sharing his schedule for the first time. Before, she had to call and ask, and he wouldn't tell her, saying she was annoying.

At that moment, they felt like an ordinary couple, with the husband briefing his wife on his schedule before leaving, assuring her he wouldn't be back early, and explaining things clearly to prevent her from overthinking.

"Will you come back tonight?"

Nathaniel chuckled softly. "Of course, this is my home."

He laid her back on the bed, propped himself up, and leaned in to kiss her pink lips lightly. His eyes were full of affection, resembling a man in love,

"When will your menstrual period end?"

He kneaded her earlobe with one hand. "How many days do I need to endure?"

Aurelia subconsciously licked her lips, thinking of finding a chance to tell him about the baby in her belly. She felt a bit anxious; she knew he didn't like children, and a child was not part of his plan.

After waiting for a while without her response, Nathaniel's thumb went to stroke her eyebrows and eyes gently. "What are you thinking about?"

"I need to hurry up and freshen up; I might be late."

Only then did Nathaniel let her go,

"Get ready and come downstairs for breakfast."

Aurelia nodded, watching him leave in a daze.

She thought, 'Nathaniel, will you like our baby?'

As usual, Aurelia and Nathaniel drove to work separately.

During Aurelia's time at the Heilbronn Group, she received no serious work; the department was full of miscellaneous tasks. Chelsea didn't genuinely want to mentor a new person; she just wanted to embarrass Aurelia and force her to leave.

This conveniently freed up time for Aurelia to work on the design she owed Swan.

Aurelia approached the design of a necklace from a different angle this time, saving all her sketches and putting them in her bag. She now felt that her home was not safe.

In the afternoon, Marcus sent a location via Facebook. Aurelia remembered she had promised to have dinner with him on Monday.

Before leaving work, she shut down her computer, and as usual, she went right on time. In the parking lot, Marcus stood at the elevator entrance with his hands in his pockets.

"Uncle Marcus, I am not late this time, right?"

She checked her watch; she had just left work five minutes ago, so she was quite fast.

Marcus pushed his glasses up.

"You're not late; I arrived early. I might be a bit hungry today; I've been thinking about food all afternoon."

Aurelia followed him to his Maybach, which was parked next to Nathaniel's limited-edition Bentley. As she got into Marcus's car, she couldn't help but think about the owner of that Bentley.

Marcus chose a restaurant not far from the company, with an elegant atmosphere suitable for chatting and discussing business.

Aurelia looked around. "Uncle Marcus, have you tried the food from all the Imperial restaurants?"

Marcus chuckled. "I prefer quieter places, so I only eat at some quiet restaurants."

They sat down and ordered some dishes. The restaurant wasn't crowded, and the food took longer to arrive as it was prepared fresh after ordering, slower than the five-star hotels.

After chatting for a while, their ordered dishes hadn't arrived yet.

"Uncle Marcus, I'm going to the restroom."

Aurelia left the private room, asked a waiter, and found out the restroom was at the end of the corridor on their floor. As she reached the restroom door, a woman came out, and they collided.

After seeing who it was, both of them were surprised.

Chelsea had fiery red lips. She was probably sprayed perfume, and Aurelia sneezed twice.

"What are you doing here?"

Aurelia wiped her clothes and walked in. "Of course, I'm here to use the restroom. What else could I be doing?"

Chelsea snorted. "Why are you at this restaurant? Are you following me?"
