Chapter 413 The Eyes Can't Hide Love

Joe turned around and cursed, "Bastard."

The voice was only loud enough for the driver in the car to hear, but Nathaniel wasn't stupid; he could tell from Joe's lip movements that it wasn't something nice.

Nathaniel didn't mind. He knew he would have to accept this brother-in-law sooner or later.

Nathaniel didn't know which room was Aurelia's; he just saw her walk into one of the villas in the estate. He couldn't explain the feeling, but even though he couldn't see or touch her from here, he felt a step closer to her, and it gave him peace of mind.

The next day, after Aurelia finished the morning meeting with the design department at the company, she sat in her office and bought some nutritional supplements suitable for the elderly.

Knowing that Reed had come to Coral Bay, she definitely had to pay a visit.

In the morning, she mentioned to Cathy that Reed had come to Coral Bay and suggested taking the kids to see Reed after work.

Considering that Reed had taken good care of Aurelia during her years in Imperick, Cathy didn't object and agreed to let the two little ones meet Reed.

Before getting off work, Aurelia called Nathaniel, "I'm planning to go over in a bit. Are you done with work?"

At that moment, Nathaniel was standing by the floor-to-ceiling window in his office. Aurelia's company was in the building opposite, even on the same floor.

He had asked Zack to rent an office space, with the requirement that it shouldn't be too far from her.

He didn't expect Zack to do such a good job. The location not only had great lighting and a spacious office but was also in an excellent spot.

"Aurelia, come to the window and look across."

Aurelia thought he was downstairs. She stood up from her desk and looked down but didn't see him.

Nathaniel called her again on the phone, "Look across, not downstairs."

Aurelia looked up, and the two of them made eye contact from a distance.

"You didn't buy the building across the street, did you?"

At this moment, Aurelia couldn't help but think of those domineering CEO novels where the male lead, who possessed immense wealth, bought the building opposite the female lead.

But that seemed a bit exaggerated in reality.

Nathaniel chuckled, "Buying it is possible, but for now, I've rented a floor. When the Heilbronn Group moves all its operations over, this building will be just right for our office."

He was seriously answering the question.

Aurelia couldn't see his expression through the glass, but she could vaguely see his movements, one hand in his pocket and the other holding the phone.

She could imagine his expression. Whenever he talked about work, the confident and commanding aura he naturally exuded was the most attractive, symbolizing his control over everything and his capability.

To Aurelia, that was a deadly attraction.

That kind of aura probably wouldn't be disliked by any woman.

Aurelia smiled and asked, "Have you decided on the location? Are you going to work here?"

Nathaniel was very satisfied with this office. On a scale of one to one hundred, he would give it one hundred and twenty. When he got tired of work, he could look across the window to see what she was doing.

Even if she wasn't standing by the window, he could imagine her sitting at her desk, focused on her designs, just like being by her side.

"This place is close to home, saving a lot of commuting time. The commercial area is complete, and most importantly, it's close to you."

When he said "close to you," his voice deliberately lowered. Aurelia couldn't help but feel her ears heat up, as if his breath was right next to her ear.

She asked, "Your old computer is still in my drawer. When are you coming to get it?"

Although Nathaniel had bought a new computer after returning to Imperick, there were still many important files on the old one.

Since he had nothing else to do, he said, "Wait for me, I'm coming over now."

Aurelia hung up the phone and took a sip of coffee. She had called to ask him when would be a good time to visit Reed. If he was done with work, she could go home and pick up the kids before the evening rush hour.

But after talking for so long, they hadn't gotten to the main point.

Aurelia patted her head, feeling a bit dizzy. Whenever she met him these past few days, her thoughts would be led by his words, and she would forget her original purpose.

This couldn't go on.

In just the time it took to drink a cup of coffee, Nathaniel had come from the office building across the street to Karma Jewelry. When he rang the doorbell, Aurora respectfully invited him in.

Aurelia couldn't help but admire him; having long legs was indeed an advantage.

Nathaniel made himself at home, as if he were in his own office. He took off his suit jacket and hung it on her coat rack, next to her bag, then sat on the sofa, legs slightly apart, looking natural and at ease.

"Aurelia, where's my computer?"

Aurelia stood up and rummaged through her bag for the keys. Just as her fingers reached into the bag, his long arm wrapped around her waist, and in the next second, she fell onto his lap.

"Aurelia, no rush."

Aurelia thought, 'If it's not urgent, why were you rushing me just now?'

Nathaniel held her tightly, his large hand rubbing her lower back. Somehow, Aurelia had a feeling he would reach inside in the next second.

Even though they were intimate before, this was the office, and it was broad daylight. She couldn't help but blush to her ears. Facing his intense gaze, Aurelia couldn't help but feel a bit shy.

In contrast, Nathaniel's actions were smooth and natural, as if he didn't think there was anything inappropriate about what he was doing, as if this was their usual way of interacting.

He looked at the woman in his arms. She had on professional makeup, looking exquisite and appropriate, different from the way he used to see her, with an added touch of competence and shrewdness.

Nathaniel's gaze traveled from her eyebrows, eyes, and nose, stopping at her full red lips.

Aurelia could feel his body's reaction, even the warmth of his breath.

He was clearly a sensitive bomb, yet he came to seduce her. She wondered who would end up feeling worse in the end.

Aurelia sensed he was about to kiss her, so she leaned back slightly, but his large hand pressed her closer.

She said, "I'm planning to pick up the kids and visit Grandpa."

He replied, "Mm."

"Jacob and Dorothy said they missed you the day before yesterday. They want to see you too."

"Mm."

"I bought some nutritional supplements suitable for the elderly. I wonder if Grandpa will like them."

"Mm."

Whatever Aurelia said, he responded with a "mm."

She wasn't sure if he was really listening to her.

"Nathaniel?"

"Mm."

"Are you even..."

Before she could finish her sentence, he kissed her. Aurelia leaned back again, not wanting him to mess around in her office, "My lipstick is getting smudged."

Nathaniel wiped her lips with his thumb, spreading the remaining lipstick evenly, looking unsatisfied. At this moment, he was full of desire.

They said when one loved someone, they couldn't hide it in their eyes.

Aurelia felt that whenever he looked at her, there was a sticky feeling, making her a bit uncomfortable.

As they sat there, Aurelia could clearly feel something pressing against her. Looking at his superior face, she realized he was only outwardly restrained.

In reality, he was like a beast in bed, and that beastly side was only shown to her.
