Chapter 484 Clarification
The conversation in the gazebo gradually died down. Nathaniel glanced over and then walked towards it, with Phoenix following closely behind.
Joe's assistant recognized the two and greeted them politely, "Mr. Heilbronn, Mr. Sawyer."
Amy saw Nathaniel and was too scared to lift her head. If Joe was known for being ruthless, Nathaniel was no less so; otherwise, how could he be called the Grim Reaper?
She had managed to offend both of them today. If she hadn't been pushed to the brink, she wouldn't have dared to do so even with a hundred times the courage.
"Mr. Heilbronn," Amy called out softly, her head still lowered.
"Did you post the message?" Nathaniel asked.
Amy remained silent.
"You know my stance on people and things that cross my line. Aurelia has never done anything bad to you, and Joe even lent you money out of pity. How could you do something so harmful?"
Nathaniel's voice wasn't loud, but it carried a sense of pressure that made Amy tremble.
"Mr. Heilbronn, please don't kick me out of Coral Bay. My son needs treatment here. If we leave the city, he won't have any hope of survival."
"So you only care about yourself and not others, huh? There were other ways to get money. Why choose the harmful path?"
Amy's shoulders shook slightly, and she shrank her neck.
What she didn't know was that Zack had already dug up all her information in a short time.
"Mr. Heilbronn, she's not completely out of options. She owns a house worth a million dollars."
Amy was so scared that she fell to her knees.
"Mr. Heilbronn, that house is the last refuge for me and my son. I have nothing else. Please show mercy. Without that house, we won't have a home..."
Nathaniel took a step back in disgust. Pitiful people often have something despicable about them.
"If you hadn't done those bullying things, I wouldn't have fired you. The Heilbronn Group pays its designers well every year. How did you end up in this situation?"
After a moment of silence, Nathaniel continued, "Take out your phone and post a clarification. Don't make me do it; you do it yourself."
Amy knew she couldn't escape today. She fumbled for her phone, opened the app, and her fingers trembled as she tapped the screen.
Nathaniel felt uncomfortable seeing her kneeling.. She chose to kneel, but it looked like the three men were bullying her.
"Stand up and post."
Amy responded timidly and stood up. Soon, the clarification post was up, along with an apology letter on the internet.
"Mr. Heilbronn, it's done."
Nathaniel opened his phone, his long fingers sliding across the screen. He quickly found the post from that ID, explaining that she had been misled and confused when she posted it, and clarifying the relationship between Aurelia and Phoenix, along with an apology.
The post had just gone up, and people were already liking and sharing it. It would soon spread across the internet.
Satisfied, Nathaniel closed his phone.
"I made you do this because it's the right thing to do. It doesn't mean you've made up for your mistakes. Pack your things and get out of Coral Bay. Don't ever show your face in Imperick Coral Bay again. With your character, it's hard to believe you won't try something retaliatory in the future."
Amy fell to her knees again.
"Mr. Heilbronn, my son's surgery isn't finished yet. Please, give me one more month. Once my son has his kidney transplant and is discharged, I'll leave."
She glanced at Joe's assistant and added, "I'll put the house up for sale and pay Mr. Semona first when the money comes in."
Amy had used some tricks to get the child's father to come over, just waiting for the surgery to use his kidney for her son. This critical moment couldn't go wrong; it was her son's only chance to regain health.
She started to kowtow, her forehead hitting the ground with a sound.
Nathaniel felt a bit uneasy. Her behavior reminded him that he also had a son. The child hadn't done anything wrong; this matter shouldn't affect the family.
Nathaniel frowned and instructed Zack, "Pull her up!"
Zack stepped forward and easily lifted her up. He already guessed Nathaniel's intention.
"I'll be watching you closely. If you dare say or do anything against Mrs. Aurelia Heilbronn again, Mr. Nathaniel Heilbronn won't be so forgiving. I'm letting you off today for the child's sake. Remember, once your child's surgery is done, leave this city immediately. If you lie, you know the consequences."
Amy fixed her messy hair and quickly said, "I won't dare. Once my child is discharged, we'll leave right away."
As soon as this matter was settled, Joe received a call from his assistant.
"Mr. Semona, it's all taken care of. Amy has been caught and has posted an apology. Mr. Heilbronn and Phoenix were also there."
By then, Joe had returned to the villa, where a table full of people was having dinner.
Joe glanced at Aurelia, then took his phone and left the table to answer the call.
"Nathaniel went to do what?"
"Mr. Heilbronn must have found out about the hospital and gone to confront Amy. Also, there's someone behind this, a female celebrity, who has been blacklisted by Mr. Heilbronn."
Joe's frown relaxed a bit. Nathaniel had done something a man should do.
The next morning, Aurelia got the two kids ready. Today, the family driver and maid would take them to school. Aurelia waited for Joe to take her to the office.
Nathaniel's call came through.
"Aurelia, I'm waiting outside the gate."
"You... came?"
As she was on the phone, Joe came down the stairs, putting on his watch.
"Aurelia, are you ready? Let's go."
Aurelia hesitated, "Joe, are you very busy? If you are, you don't have to take me. I..."
Before she could finish, Joe replied, "I'm not busy. Even if I were, a few minutes wouldn't make a difference."
He knew Nathaniel was waiting for a chance. He hadn't accepted Nathaniel yet, so he wouldn't let him take advantage. He needed to personally take Aurelia to and from every day to feel at ease.
They got into the car, and the driver slowly drove out of the villa. As they approached the gate, the driver slowed down.
"Mr. Semona..."
