Chapter 467 I Will Find Someone to Look After Her

When Nathaniel walked in and saw Marcus, he paused for a moment.

Marcus had been sent for treatment by Reed after being rescued, and this was the first time Nathaniel had seen him at home.

Marcus looked much healthier than before, though he had lost some weight, making his facial features more pronounced.

No matter how much animosity they had between them, they had to act amicably in front of Reed, even if it was just a facade.

"Nathaniel, you're back?"

Nathaniel responded while changing his shoes, "Yeah, how's the treatment been these past few days?"

"Not bad, otherwise your grandpa wouldn't have let me come home from the hospital."

Nathaniel nodded, "Good to hear. It's better for Grandpa to have you around."

As they exchanged pleasantries, Reed brought over a plate of fruit, happy that Marcus was home on his first day out of the hospital.

"How about spaghetti for dinner?"

Reed always insisted on having spaghetti, especially when celebrating something.

"Sure, let's have spaghetti."

Meanwhile, Aurelia returned to the Semona Villa.

Cathy immediately pulled her aside to ask, "Aurelia, did you find out anything this time?"

Aurelia hesitated to reveal the painful truths and chose to share the more digestible parts, "Norman isn't my father. As for my biological father, I have a general idea but haven't pinpointed it yet. Also, it seems my mom might have had twins. There's someone who looks exactly like me living on the other side of the world."

Cathy's eyes widened. It sounded more dramatic than any story she'd ever heard. Could it be that she had another granddaughter out there?

Four years ago, she had found Aurelia and cherished her dearly. Now, learning that there might be another one made her incredibly happy.

"Aurelia, is this true?"

"Grandma, I only know there's someone who looks exactly like me in Elvenia. I sent her hair for testing last week, but the results haven't been back yet. I suspect she might be my twin sister or maybe my younger sister."

Cathy slapped her thigh, "Well, she must be! How could anyone look exactly alike otherwise? We need to bring her home!"

Just then, Joe walked in, and Cathy’s eyes lit up. "Joe, you're just in time. We have big news!"

Joe was startled. "Grandma, what's going on?"

Cathy repeated what Aurelia had just said, "You have another sister out there, and we need to bring her home."

Joe remained calm, sharing Aurelia's sentiment that they should wait for the test results before making any decisions.

"Grandma, we know where she is. There's no rush. Let's wait for the test results."

Cathy was impatient, "How can you young people be so slow? What are we waiting for? She might have suffered so much out there. I can't stand it!"

Joe rubbed his forehead. "Grandma, if we rush over, we might scare her. We need to plan this carefully."

Aurelia agreed, "Grandma, once the results confirm she's my sister, we'll do everything we can to bring her home. Don't worry, we can't rush this. After all these years, a few more days won't matter."

"Exactly."

Cathy was reluctantly pacified, "You two should start preparing everything we can in advance. Once the results are out, go get her immediately."

Joe nodded, and Cathy was somewhat appeased.

Once Cathy went to rest, leaving Aurelia and Joe alone downstairs, they dared to discuss more openly.

"Chelsea, that lunatic, has been locked up," Joe said casually.

Aurelia had expected this outcome, but not so quickly. Chelsea had just had a miscarriage and hadn't even had time to recover before being imprisoned.

Joe continued, "I'll make sure she's taken care of. You don't need to worry. Her heart, how she got it, she'll pay for it."

Mentioning the heart made Aurelia take a deep breath. She had heard about Maria, who died in prison and was left to be eaten by wild dogs, leaving nothing but bones, not even her organs.

Aurelia looked at Joe, "Joe, I want my mom's heart back, intact."

Joe smirked coldly, "Of course. I've got people watching her. Don't worry, she won't have it easy."

Aurelia asked, "Will she die in there like Maria?"

Joe replied, "That's hard to say. It depends on her fate."

He wouldn't directly kill her, but he would ensure she faced the consequences of her actions. How far it would go depended on her own nature and whether anyone would tolerate her.

At that moment, Chelsea was huddled in the corner of her cell, shackled. The cell had twelve beds, including hers.

Every other spot was taken, leaving her with the one next to the toilet.

The so-called toilet was just a squat pit, right next to the beds, with no privacy. There was no privacy here; even showering and using the toilet were done in front of everyone, with cameras watching.

She couldn't accept losing her freedom to the point of having no private space even for basic needs.

She leaned against the wall, dazed, when a woman in slippers kicked her with her toe, "Newbie, it's your turn to clean the toilet today."

Chelsea glanced at the squat pit and almost vomited. The woman who had just used it hadn't flushed, meaning Chelsea had to deal with it.

She had heard that every cell had a leader. She thought if she kept her head down and didn't provoke anyone, she'd be fine.

"The new duty roster hasn't been posted yet."

She said, and laughter erupted from all directions. The woman who had just used the toilet kicked her leg again, squinting, "You think this is school?"

Chelsea was stunned. "Isn't it supposed to follow the duty roster?"

The woman next to her bed chuckled, "Our rule here is, whoever comes last cleans the toilet. Before you, it was my job. Now I can finally rest. But you seem worse off than I. Our cell is full, so you won't see another newbie for a year unless Eris leaves. Haha..."

Can't win me back
