Chapter 226 Catching J
"Where is he located?" Nathaniel asked.
Chris said, "Coincidentally, he's at Imperick. The map points to the Science Museum."
Nathaniel clenched his fists as he tried to control his anger. He asked patiently, "Can I keep seeing this map?"
Chris nodded and said, "As long as the system isn't shut down, you can keep this page open and monitor his movements at all times."
Nathaniel seemed to have an idea on how to catch the culprit. He took the computer from Chris and said, "Sorry to bother you, bro."
He took the computer back to his car, started the engine, and headed to the Science Museum, making a few calls along the way. About twenty minutes later, he arrived at the museum. Zack and a few bodyguards were already there, waiting outside.
"Mr. Heilbronn, is he really in the Science Museum?" Zack asked.
He looked curiously at the computer, where a small red dot was precisely located inside the museum.
Nathaniel said, "Chris helped me track him. There won't be any issues. Buy the tickets and let's catch him!"
Zack counted the people, bought seven tickets for the group, and Nathaniel led them into the museum with the computer in hand.
At that moment, Jacoba had excused himself to the restroom to check on Nathaniel's situation. When he opened the system, he was stunned to see Nathaniel's arrow moving towards him on his smartwatch screen. He quickly turned off the watch.
Joe was holding Dorothy's hand, waiting not far from the restroom. He watched a group of people walk by aggressively, then come back and circle around the restroom area, seemingly looking for someone.
When he saw the leader of the group, his heart skipped a beat in panic.
'Running into Nathaniel at a Science Museum? What a strange coincidence,' he thought.
It really ruined his mood.
He picked up Dorothy and called out to Jacob at the restroom door. He assumed that today's outing wouldn't be pleasant. He needed to get the kids out of there to avoid any encounter with that scumbag.
Jacob washed his hands, pretending he was really using the restroom. When he came out, he saw Joe looking a bit tense.
"Uncle, what's wrong?" Jacob asked, concerned.
Joe explained calmly, "Jacob, sweetie, Uncle has something urgent to deal with. Can we call it a day? I promise to take you out for fun next time."
Jacob, feeling guilty, also wanted to leave and nodded in agreement repeatedly.
Jacob replied, "Uncle, I'm tired. I want to go back to the hotel."
Joe, to prevent the scumbag, Nathaniel, from seeing the kids, picked them up and hurried out.
Nathaniel saw the two location icons on the map were about to overlap, but suddenly the other location icon disappeared. He followed Chris's instructions to close and reopen the map, but only his own location icon showed up. The other location icon that he was tracking had completely vanished.
He must have sensed the danger.
'What a cunning J,' he thought.
Nathaniel's eyes scanned the Science Museum like a hawk, but he couldn't find anyone who looked like a hacker.
Zack and the bodyguards split up to search for suspicious people with computers in the museum, but the only person they found was an old man monitoring the security cameras.
Just when they were at a loss, the location reappeared on the screen, showing the target leaving the museum and heading towards the outer ring road. Judging by the speed of the movement, the target was already in a car.
Everyone's eyes lit up in anticipation. As long as the location icon appeared, they could find him.
Zack asked, "Mr. Heilbronn, should we chase him?"
Nathaniel said, "Go after him!"
In the nanny van, Jacob nervously checked his phone and saw that Nathaniel was still tracking him on the map. He only had his smartwatch, which was modified into a mini-computer, and its capabilities were limited.
Moreover, he couldn't do anything under his uncle's watchful eyes. His uncle and mom must never find out about his encounter with Nathaniel.
He temporarily turned off the watch to avoid being tracked.
Back at the hotel, Jacob immediately claimed he was tired and locked himself in the bedroom. He took out his computer and started typing furiously. He found that the Heilbronn Group's system had enhanced its defenses with several firewalls, but these were just a matter of time for him.
If he wanted to, there was nothing he couldn't crack.
He just wanted to make his irresponsible father suffer and vent his anger for his mom.
Meanwhile, Nathaniel's map showed the location intermittently. They had to stop by the roadside, staring at the computer.
When the red dot reappeared and stayed in one place, the bodyguards excitedly rolled up their sleeves.
They exclaimed with determination, "We have to catch him today."
The car started again, heading towards the red dot. As they got closer, the people in the car grew more anxious, eager to catch him.
Finally, the car stopped in front of a villa. The map showed the location was right here.
Zack informed, "Mr. Heilbronn, we're here."
Nathaniel got out of the car, feeling a sense of familiarity but couldn't recall when he had been here before. He signaled the bodyguards to ring the doorbell.
Moments later, a man in a bathrobe hurriedly came out, still tying his belt. Seeing the group outside, he froze.
"Mr. Heilbronn, what brings you here?" Norman asked, bewildered.
Nathaniel's aura was icy. He looked closely and saw that the man was Norman. No wonder the place felt familiar; he had been here once when he dropped off Chelsea.
He wasn't here for a reunion. Nathaniel signaled the bodyguards, and the men immediately rushed in to subdue Norman.
Norman was so scared he almost wet himself. Given his age, he couldn't withstand the rough handling of these strong men.
Norman pleaded desperately, "Mr. Heilbronn, please don't kill me. Aurelia's death was tragic, but I didn't do it. Maria was already driven mad by you. I swear I never intended to harm my own daughter. Please let me go!"
Norman was already crying. He had been keeping a low profile for years, fearing Nathaniel would notice him and throw him into prison.
He knew well the consequences of offending this big shot. He had been cautious, never expecting Nathaniel to come after him, especially four years later.
Nathaniel's expression darkened at the mention of the painful past.
Zack, knowing Nathaniel's thoughts, decided to beat up Norman to vent their anger, smashing his mouth to stop him from talking nonsense.
Zack ordered, "Tie him up and give him a lesson!"
The five bodyguards immediately tied Norman up and beat him until he had a bloody nose.
Nathaniel sat on the living room sofa, legs crossed, exuding an air of authority.
"Can you hack systems?" he questioned Norman.
Norman, thrown to the ground, looked disheveled..
Norman tried to explain, "Mr. Heilbronn, I don't know what you're talking about, but please believe me. I'm a father. I would never do such a cruel thing to my daughter. I had no knowledge of this from start to finish. It was all Maria's idea."
He still thought Nathaniel was here because of the incident four years ago, explaining with a sobbing voice, fearing Nathaniel wouldn't believe him.
Taking a beating was a minor issue. He feared this demon would leave him half-dead and throw him into the sea to feed the fish.
Nathaniel narrowed his eyes, deep in thought, and slowly took out a cigarette. His smoking habit had worsened over the years, especially when he thought of Aurelia and the two babies. He always ended up smoking several cigarettes in a row.
