Chapter 10

"She remembered it!" Fiona hadn't even opened her mouth when Michael jumped in, "Mr. Davis, Fiona's just super excited. She never thought you'd come looking for her!"

Fiona tugged at his sleeve. "Dad, but I..."

"Come on, don't hide it," Michael said loudly, "I know you ran away that night, lost your virginity to a stranger, and have been too scared to say anything. But now, Mr. Davis is here to take you!"

Michael, being a sharp guy, had already figured out most of the situation!

Plus, that night, it wasn't Fiona he sent, but Penelope!

Penelope ran away and didn't let Gordon succeed, but when she came back the next day, there were marks left by a man on her body.

Connecting the dots, Michael realized that Penelope had been with Kelvin!

Fiona, being quick-witted, saw Michael's constant winks and immediately played along. "Yeah, it's too embarrassing for a girl, so I left without saying goodbye."

Kelvin reminded her, "I said I would marry you."

Fiona's eyes lit up. Being able to stay by Kelvin's side was already a huge blessing for her.

And now Kelvin said he would marry her? This was a huge deal!

If she could marry into the Davis Family, she wouldn't have to make short videos for social media anymore. She could become the mistress of a top-tier wealthy family and just enjoy life every day!

"I thought you were just saying that casually," Fiona began to fabricate, "After all, even my dad could have sent me to an old man's bed. Who else can I trust?"

As she spoke, she squeezed out tears and started crying.

Michael also played the victim. "Fiona, I had no choice. Knowing you escaped made me the happiest. I thought, no matter what, I have to protect you and not let anyone take advantage of you!"

The duo performed perfectly in sync.

"I always keep my word," Kelvin said, pursing his lips, "So I'm here to take you. Fiona, are you willing to come with me?"

Fiona had been waiting for this sentence and nodded. "Yes, I am! Actually, I've been thinking about you too!"

Kelvin subconsciously frowned.

Her reaction was so different from that night.

Back then, that woman was resistant and scared, left without a word, but now Fiona was so proactive!

"Mr. Davis, you are my ultimate hero!" Fiona clung to his arm. "With you here, my dad and I don't have to be afraid of that old man anymore!"

Kelvin collected his thoughts and nodded.

Since he had found her, he would keep his promise.

He would marry Fiona, but it would take some time.

"Let's go," Kelvin turned around.

"Mr. Davis, I have a few words to say to Fiona," Michael rubbed his arms. "If you don't mind."

Kelvin agreed, "Go ahead."

As soon as Kelvin left, Michael excitedly grabbed Fiona's hand. "Our good days are here!"

Fiona said, "Dad, you better explain everything to me clearly, or else I might expose myself in front of Mr. Davis!"

Michael leaned in and told Fiona everything he knew, giving her detailed instructions.

"Got it!" Fiona smiled, "With this information, it's enough! Dad, I'm going to Mr. Davis!"

She happily went after Kelvin.

Sitting in a million-dollar sports car, Fiona couldn't help but take out her phone and take various selfies, making sure to capture the car's logo on the steering wheel in every shot.

Kelvin took her to a riverside property, a large flat with three thousand square feet, where she could overlook the most bustling part of LA.

"You'll stay here for now. Servants will come tomorrow," Kelvin handed her the keys. "Let me know if you need anything."

Fiona took the keys, very happy, "Mr. Davis, our fate is destined. I will definitely serve you well in the future!"

She lunged to hug him, but Kelvin pushed her away.

He had a thing about cleanliness and wasn't into physical contact.

Fiona was upset and confused, "Mr. Davis."

Kelvin explained, "It's late. You should rest."

"But I want to sleep with you," Fiona's clothes slipped off her shoulder as she tried to seduce him. "Let's relive that night."

Most guys would fall for this.

Because the woman that night wasn't her, she had to get with Kelvin ASAP to feel secure.

Kelvin frowned tightly. If it weren't for the time and place matching, he would have doubted if Fiona was the woman he was looking for.

Maybe she was just too happy to see him after a long time and couldn't hold back her excitement.

"It's not the right time yet," Kelvin said, "I'm leaving now."

He left without any hesitation.

When he got back to the King Manor, Penelope was already asleep.

She was still sleeping at the door of the master bedroom, and from a distance, he could only see her long blonde hair.

Kelvin walked over and looked down at her.

Penelope was sleeping soundly, lazily turning over, causing her nightgown collar to open a bit, revealing the skin on her chest.

And that faintly visible cleavage.

His throat tightened.

Why did he feel so easily attracted to Penelope?

Fiona was the one he was looking for, but he felt nothing for her.

Penelope was truly a natural seductress!

"Get up!" Kelvin tugged at his tie and spoke sternly.

Hearing his voice, Penelope immediately opened her eyes and sat up. "You're back."

He just looked at her with a deep gaze, not saying a word.

"What's wrong?" She looked around and explained, "I purposely slept in the corner, not blocking the door!"

Kelvin asked, "Did you drink the soup?"

Penelope was stunned for a moment.

Kelvin emphasized, "The soup!"

"No," she shook her head. "Do I have to drink it?"

Kelvin squinted his eyes. "Of course."

Penelope resignedly got up. "I'll go now."

She really didn't understand why he insisted she drink the soup Lily made.

At this time, drinking it would make it hard to sleep.

In the dining room, Penelope held a spoon, looking at the full bowl of Seafood Bisque in front of her.

Kelvin stood beside her, supervising.

She reluctantly took a bite, only to feel a strong fishy taste, making it hard to swallow.

After forcing down half of it, Penelope really couldn't take it anymore. "Is this enough?"

Kelvin replied, "Finish it."

"I," Just as she opened her mouth, her stomach churned.

Penelope covered her mouth and quickly ran to the bathroom.

She vomited so much that she felt dizzy, not only throwing up what she had just eaten but also bile.

Hearing the sounds from the bathroom, Kelvin frowned in disgust.

She had to finish the soup, only then could he deceive Lily.

"Mr. Davis," Jeff walked over. "You have a package today, sent from abroad."

"Give it to me," Kelvin opened it and found it was the medicine William had sent him, just enough for one course of treatment.

He glanced at the bowl of soup, smirked sarcastically, and swallowed the pills without any expression.

Now that he had found Fiona, he would wait for his illness to be cured, then wait three more months before getting a divorce.

Everything was under Kelvin's control.

Penelope came out of the bathroom, holding her stomach, still feeling waves of nausea.

What was wrong with her? Even if the Seafood Bisque was fishy, it shouldn't have made her vomit like this.

Jeff suggested to Kelvin, "Mr. Davis, should we call the family doctor to check on Mrs. Davis?"

Kelvin uttered, "She won't die!"
