Chapter 1038 I Tear Open Your True Face

Just then, Ryan's voice came through, "Mr. Walker, I'll let Mr. Davis know you're here, but you can't just barge in."

"Mr. Walker! Hold on a second!"

"If you keep this up, I'll have to call security. Don't blame me later, Mr. Walker..."

Brandon was here?

Footsteps quickly approached the door.

Kelvin called out, "Ryan, let him in!"

"...Yes, Mr. Davis."

Brandon pushed the door open, his face full of anger, his whole demeanor radiating a chilling coldness.

Gone was his usual gentlemanly demeanor!

Penelope looked up and met Brandon's gaze.

For a split second, Brandon's face showed a hint of surprise.

He hadn't expected Penelope to be there.

He immediately tried to pull back all the coldness he was exuding, attempting to return to his usual self.

Because Brandon didn't want Penelope to see him like this.

He wanted to maintain the image she had of him.

But... it was too late.

From the moment Brandon pushed the door open, Penelope had seen him.

When she saw him, Penelope thought she was hallucinating, that her eyes were playing tricks on her.

Was this the Brandon she knew?

He seemed so unfamiliar!

How could he have this side to him? She had never seen it before!

Cold, sinister, filled with a chilling aura, unapproachable!

Was this really the elegant, gentle Brandon she knew?

For a moment, an absolute silence enveloped them all.

Penelope doubted whether she had seen it wrong.

Brandon was thinking about what he should say.

However, Kelvin spoke up, "Why did you barge in like this? So impatient that you couldn't even wait for Ryan to notify me?"

Brandon pressed his lips together.

With Penelope here, many things couldn't be said outright!

Even if Thessaly wanted to burn bridges, Brandon still hoped to salvage the situation somewhat.

He was terrified of losing Penelope, even more so of her hating him!

"I... came to find Thessaly." Brandon suddenly smiled, reverting to his familiar demeanor, "I heard she was here, so I rushed over and lost my composure. Sorry, Mr. Davis, please don't mind."

Kelvin replied indifferently, "I don't mind, but you should ask if Thessaly minds, and if Penelope... minds."

Thessaly just looked at Brandon.

Her gaze held an indescribable emotion.

It was like looking at a lover, yet also like looking at an enemy.

Love and hate intertwined, making her appear very calm.

She just looked at him without speaking.

Brandon strode over to her, looking into her eyes, a warning flashing in his gaze.

But it was only for a moment before he hid it again.

"Thessaly, let's go." Brandon reached for her hand, "Let's go home."

Brandon still wanted to keep things under wraps, not wanting to make a scene!

He had private photos of Thessaly, but they were only meant to threaten and intimidate her; he didn't want to use them!

Once used, it would mean the evidence Kelvin had would appear before Penelope!

As soon as Brandon's fingers touched Thessaly, she immediately pulled back and took a big step back.

"I'm not going." Thessaly refused, "I'm not going home either."

"Thessaly, don't be difficult, don't be angry."

Thessaly laughed mockingly, "Brandon, do I even have a home? Where is my home? Why should I go home with you?"

It had come to this point, and she didn't care anymore.

She wanted to tear off Brandon's hypocritical mask, to see him in pain!

Brandon's greatest fear was losing Penelope.

Fine, she would make him lose her completely! Make the woman he loved the most hate him the most!

Brandon saw Thessaly's fearlessness, and his heart sank.

He held back, trying to keep his tone gentle, "Don't be mad, it's all my fault. We can sort this out privately. You can hit me or yell at me, I'll take it, just hear me out."

His words and attitude made it seem like a boyfriend coaxing his unreasonable girlfriend.

It made Brandon seem particularly considerate and magnanimous.

But Thessaly looked at him, feeling a deep sadness.

This was the man she had fallen for... so despicable! Such poor acting! Like a madman!

If Brandon was like a madman, then what about her?

She was like a fool!

She knew Brandon was acting, yet she couldn't help but love him!

"Thessaly, I know you hate Paul," Brandon continued. "I said I didn't mind your past with him. But if you really can't let it go, I can help you settle it. No matter what, I'm always on your side. You shouldn't have blown things up like this."

"Now the whole production has been halted, and reporters are waiting to interview Paul. The shoot can't continue for now, and the losses are significant."

"Of course, I don't care about that. For you, I can disband the whole crew, let the investment go to waste. I just want to protect you, to make you happy."

As he spoke, Brandon forcibly pulled her to his side.

"We can resolve this ourselves; no need to trouble Mr. Davis and Penelope." He whispered softly in Thessaly's ear, "Okay? Listen to me."

He coaxed and lowered his stance, giving her all the gentleness and patience.

Brandon was trying hard to make it seem like he and Thessaly had a fight, a disagreement, which was why she did this.

But unfortunately, Thessaly had nothing to lose and wouldn't back down so easily.

Brandon's act could only fool... Penelope!

"What exactly happened?" Penelope asked, "Brandon, you and Thessaly..."

"It's just a small issue, nothing I can't handle."

Penelope didn't understand, "But it's blown up to this extent, just a small issue?"

"Yes, give us some time, we'll leave now."

Brandon was still feeling guilty, not daring to look Penelope in the eye.

As he spoke, he wrapped his arm around Thessaly's shoulder, using force to try to take her away.

Thessaly's strength was no match for his, so she could only be dragged along.

But Thessaly still had her voice; she could still speak!

"Brandon, is it fun to hide and cover up?" Thessaly asked, "You dare to do it but not to admit it? You're such a coward! A complete coward! So hypocritical!"

Brandon didn't respond, just continued to drag her towards the door.

"Go ahead, go. The moment we step out of this door, I'll expose your true nature! Brandon, I won't back down anymore!"

Thessaly's words made Brandon stop abruptly.

This crazy woman... he really wanted to strangle her!

He had restrained Kelvin, making him cautious, yet unexpectedly, Thessaly proved to be utterly unscrupulous!
