Chapter 1100 Jessamine Freely Enters and Exits Mr. Davis's Office

Penelope remembered the panic and helplessness she felt when she first heard that Kelvin had been rushed to the hospital in a coma. Thankfully, Tina had been by her side the whole time.

"Tina, I'm so glad you were there," Penelope said. "You really helped me out and took care of everything."

"Of course, you always look out for me, too."

Penelope had thought Tina was just a young girl who would panic and be indecisive in a crisis, but she had shown unexpected composure.

Penelope smiled. "How are things going with Nathan? I haven't asked, and you haven't volunteered any updates. From now on, keep me in the loop, okay? If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask. I've been through it all and can give you some advice!"

"I..."

"Come on, spill," Penelope nudged her shoulder. "I often see you grinning at your phone, chatting with Nathan. Things seem to be going well, right?"

Tina blushed. "It's just... You know."

"What do you mean?"

"Well..." Tina covered her face. "Penelope, I feel like Mr. Smith is treating me differently."

Penelope laughed heartily. "Of course he is! You're not like other women; you're one of a kind."

"Penelope, you're so good with words."

"I'm just speaking the truth." Penelope patted her head. "Alright, even if you don't say anything, I have a pretty good idea. Keep it up, as long as things continue to move in a positive direction. I'm just waiting for your good news!"

Tina blinked and asked softly, "Do you think Mr. Smith and I are taking too long?"

"Too long?"

"Yeah." Tina counted on her fingers. "We've known each other for three or four years, and it's been three or four months since you encouraged me to express my feelings. But..."

They were still just friends.

But closer than friends.

Penelope thought for a moment. "Not too long. Taking it slow shows sincerity. Nowadays, everyone is in such a rush, chasing efficiency. Taking your time allows you to understand each other better and see if you're truly compatible."

"Really?"

"Yes," Penelope nodded. "Plus, men should set the pace in these things. I know Nathan's personality. If he likes you, he won't let you go."

Men were naturally possessive creatures.

When they liked someone, they wanted to have them. They were born hunters.

But hearing this, Tina's face fell. "Then he must not like me... Even though we chat and say good morning and good night, he's never expressed that he likes me."

"He might be wondering if you like him, too. If he acts too affectionately, would you be put off? Tina, you need to show him you like him, too. Don't be too reserved!"

"I need to show... I like him?"

"Yes, men need to feel loved too."

Tina's tightly furrowed brow suddenly relaxed.

She had an epiphany!

"I get it!" Tina's voice rose, then she quickly covered her mouth. "Alright, Penelope, your advice is worth ten years of experience. I know what to do now!"

She returned to her desk, focused intently on her phone.

Penelope couldn't help but tease, "You're not going to confess to him right now, are you?"

"Of course not... Penelope, mind your own business."

"Alright, alright."

Watching Tina, Penelope couldn't help but feel a sense of nostalgia. The youth was wonderful.

If she were a few years younger, it would be great to experience the feeling of falling in love.

But... she and Kelvin never had a dating phase.

They went straight to getting married!

That was one of Penelope's regrets.

But it didn't matter. Happiness now was enough.

Penelope thought, Nathan and Tina... they seem like a sure thing.

She was waiting for good news!

Meanwhile, in the CEO's office.

Ryan was giving instructions to his secretary when the elevator doors suddenly opened, and the sound of high heels echoed.

He was puzzled.

Who could it be? Kelvin hadn't scheduled any meetings.

And it was a woman!

Ryan looked up and saw a woman wearing sunglasses, a hat, and a mask that completely covered her face. She was dressed fashionably and carrying a rare, expensive handbag.

"I'm here to see Mr. Davis," the woman said.

Ryan scrutinized her, trying to figure out who she was.

But... she was so well-covered that even someone like Ryan, who had met countless people and had an excellent memory, couldn't recall her.

"Hello," Ryan said. "Who are you? Do you have an appointment? What do you need to see Mr. Davis about?"

"Appointment?"

The woman chuckled.

She took off her sunglasses and raised her chin. "Mr. Davis personally invited me. As his assistant, you should be aware of this. Do I need to tell you?"

Ryan was stunned.

When had Kelvin scheduled this?

He really didn't know!

But...

Ryan took a closer look at the woman without her sunglasses and finally recognized her.

"You're... Jessamine?" Ryan said. "The actress who came to discuss the Adoring Cupid endorsement?"

"Yes." Jessamine nodded. "That's me. At least you have an impeccable sense of timing!"

Jessamine hadn't expected Kelvin to call her and invite her to the Davis Group personally!

As soon as she got the call, she rushed over without a second's delay!

She had thought her chances with Kelvin were over, but today...

Hope had arrived, out of the blue!

This time, Jessamine was determined to seize the opportunity!

Ryan was about to say something when the CEO's office door suddenly opened.

"Let her in," Kelvin said from the doorway, his tone indifferent.

"Yes, Mr. Davis."

"And..." Kelvin added, "From now on, whenever you see her, let her in directly. She can come to my office anytime."

Ryan was completely taken aback.

Did Kelvin mean Jessamine could freely enter the CEO's office?

No restrictions? No need to notify?

Was this appropriate?

But these were Kelvin's direct orders, and Ryan had heard them himself, no doubt about it!

The only woman with such privileges was Penelope!

Only Penelope could freely enter Kelvin's office without needing to be announced!

What made Jessamine deserving of this?

After a moment, Ryan stammered, "Understood, Mr. Davis."

Jessamine was filled with immense elation, and she approached with swift, eager strides. "Mr. Davis... I apologize for keeping you waiting. I came as quickly as I could."

Her voice was sweet and coy, enough to give anyone goosebumps!

Ryan watched Jessamine's figure as she entered the office, still in a daze.
