Chapter 792 It's Only Natural for Me to Kiss My Wife
Penelope looked into his eyes, a smile brimming on her face.
Kelvin asked, "Are you satisfied with this answer?"
"Not bad," Penelope nodded, "You're getting better and better."
"Thank you, Mrs. Davis, for your approval. I will continue to work hard and strive for improvement."
She raised her hand to hook around his neck, feeling very happy.
Recently, things had been too busy and chaotic. Penelope felt that it had been a long time since she had such a sweet moment with Kelvin.
In the afternoon sunlight, the two of them chatted about light topics and exchanged sweet words. It was so rare.
It was like stealing a moment of leisure amidst the busyness.
"Am I interrupting your work?" Penelope asked, "Your computer screen has gone black."
"I handled most of the important things while you were sleeping. The rest can wait until later."
After a pause, Kelvin added, "Right now, the most important thing is you."
Penelope tapped his lips, "Your mouth is getting better at saying sweet things."
"Want to taste it?"
Seeing him really lean in, she quickly dodged, "No, you should handle your work first."
Kelvin's hand clasped her waist, not letting her leave, "This morning outside the hospital room, you were the one who wanted to kiss me and wouldn't let go. Now you're rejecting me?"
Penelope answered confidently, "Morning was morning, now is now!"
"What's the difference?"
"There is! I wanted to be proactive then, but not now."
She said, pushing his chest, "With so many things to do, why aren't you at the office? It's inconvenient to work in the hospital; there's no place to put your stuff."
"Even if I went to the office, my mind would still be here, so my efficiency wouldn't improve."
"So, are you planning to handle work in the hospital room all the time?"
If that was the case, Ryan would be miserable.
He was running between the company and the hospital, which increased his workload!
And Ryan couldn't even complain!
"We'll see," Kelvin replied, "Are you worried I won't work hard and won't be able to support you and the kids?"
Penelope nodded, "Yes, supporting a wife and kids is expensive. You need to work hard to support the family!"
He held her hand and kissed it, "Penelope, with your current wealth, you should be the one supporting me."
She widened her eyes in disbelief, "Me, support you?"
How could Kelvin say such a thing?
"Yes," he said very naturally, "Don't you want to support me?"
"You want to rely on a woman?"
Kelvin actually said he wanted Penelope to support him! He wanted to rely on a woman!
Was he the type to rely on a woman?
Kelvin looked at her, "If there's a woman to rely on, why not rely on her?"
"Who can afford to support you?" Penelope pointed at his cuff, "Just one cufflink on your shirt costs tens of thousands of dollars!"
"So you need to work hard."
Penelope pushed his chest, "Alright, stop joking around, let me go."
Kelvin complied. She gained her freedom, lazily got off him, leaned on the sofa, and picked up her phone.
As soon as she opened it, Penelope saw the message from Brandon.
Her fingers paused on the phone screen for several seconds.
She knew Isabella was dead, that this person no longer existed in the world.
She would never see her again, and she would no longer pose any threat.
But seeing those words, Penelope still felt an instinctive sense of powerlessness at the loss of life.
It was quite lamentable.
Isabella could have had a much smoother life than most people, but she chose a path of no return!
"Penelope?" Kelvin noticed the subtle change in her expression, "What's wrong?"
"I need to go to the cemetery tomorrow morning."
"To attend Isabella's funeral?"
Penelope nodded, "Yes."
"I'll go with you." After a pause, Kelvin added, "I happened to see that message, it wasn't intentional."
Her phone was just lying there, and he glanced at it.
Penelope smiled, "So nervous, afraid I'll blame you for looking at my phone?"
"A little."
His straightforward admission made Penelope pause.
This wasn't like Kelvin at all!
He should be denying it to the end!
Penelope reached out, her palm touching his forehead.
"No fever, your temperature is normal," she muttered, "What's going on?"
She wasn't used to this Kelvin!
Kelvin pulled her hand down, "Penelope, I'm perfectly normal."
"I think you're not normal, not like your usual self."
"You'll get used to it," Kelvin said, "Only in front of you do I show this side."
They looked into each other's eyes.
Their eyes were filled with deep affection.
They saw their own reflections in each other's eyes.
The atmosphere gradually heated up.
Two hearts, closely connected.
Two lips, slowly approaching.
At this moment, Sam's voice rang out, "Should I watch or close my eyes?"
The atmosphere was instantly broken.
Penelope immediately turned her head, her eyes darting around, her face already red.
"Oh, I shouldn't have spoken and interrupted you, sorry," Sam said, "Actually, I should have closed my eyes, but I knew I couldn't resist peeking. And I can't move, otherwise, I could forcibly cover my eyes or turn my head away."
"Besides, I don't know how long you would kiss, and I'm hungry."
"So, sorry," Sam's voice was clear and loud, "Next time, you'll have plenty of chances to kiss!"
Penelope couldn't handle Sam's teasing.
She quickly got up, "I'll go check if the servants have brought the food."
She left first!
Kelvin sat on the sofa, looking up at Sam, "Did you do that on purpose?"
Sam chose the most frustrating moment for Kelvin to speak!
"Yes, I did it on purpose," Sam replied, "So what?"
"She's my wife, it's only natural for me to kiss my wife."
"This is my hospital room, I can talk whenever I want, interrupt whenever I want," Sam wasn't afraid of him at all, "Besides, I'm a kid. What if I accidentally peeked and saw something I shouldn't have?"
"Why would you peek?"
Sam answered confidently, "Because I can't help it!"
Kelvin's face darkened a bit.
"Sam," he asked, "Do you really think that with your great-grandpa around, I can't do anything to you?"
