Chapter 993 Boys Should Not Casually Kiss Girls

"Yeah, your kid," Penelope said with a playful wink. "We've got both boys and girls in our family, so whatever you have, maybe they'll end up as in-laws someday!"

Thessaly just smiled, and Brandon grinned along with her.

He held Thessaly's hand, gently rubbing his thumb over the back of it.

He seemed to love her deeply. But in reality? The bittersweet truth was known to Kelvin, understood by Brandon, and Thessaly was aware... only Penelope was blissfully unaware.

The Walker Mansion was buzzing with energy today.

Laughter and chatter filled the air.

With Sam, the life of the party, and sweet little Lucy, the evening flew by with dinner and conversation.

Brandon and Thessaly had brought generous gifts for the kids.

"Don't go overboard next time," Penelope said. "We've got everything we need at home, no need to spend so much."

Thessaly replied, "Oh, I can't help it. It's my first time meeting the kids, gifts is necessary. Besides..."

She glanced at Brandon, "We picked them out together."

Before Penelope could respond, Sam piped up, "Thanks, Thessaly, and Angelic Brandon!"

"Just stick with Uncle Brandon," Brandon said, ruffling Sam's hair. "I'm just messing with you."

Sam then said, "Alright, but Uncle Brandon, you gotta treat Thessaly right. Love her, spoil her, respect her," Sam instructed, "Don't let her be sad or upset, not even a little... got it?"

Brandon replied, "Got it."

Lucy added, "How could anyone let such an angel be sad?"

Since the kids arrived, Thessaly hadn't stopped smiling.

Originally... she was in a bad mood.

Brandon suddenly decided to host a dinner, and knowing him intimately, it wasn't just a casual gathering.

He never did anything without a reason; there must be something behind it!

But now, with Kelvin and his family about to leave, Brandon hadn't made any moves.

So... Thessaly was pretty sure Brandon was focused on her.

This dinner was a way to show off their stable and loving relationship to Kelvin and Penelope, and it gave him a legitimate reason... to keep her at the Walker Mansion tonight.

What awaited Thessaly tonight was still unknown.

"I'm really happy," Thessaly said, crouching down to look at Sam and Lucy. "I'm so glad to have met you today. Whenever you have time, feel free to come and hang out with me."

Sam immediately asked, "Thessaly, where can I find you? Can I see you at the Walker Mansion?"

"You can call me."

"Okay, tell me your number, I'll write it down!"

Sam was so cautious, he insisted on dialing it to hear Thessaly's phone ring before he was satisfied.

"I'm heading out now, Thessaly," Sam waved, then asked, "Can I have another hug?"

Thessaly laughed, "Of course."

She opened her arms and hugged Sam, and suddenly felt a warmth on her cheek.

Sam had kissed her cheek.

Thessaly was momentarily stunned, and everyone around was too.

Was this... being cheeky?

"Bye-bye, angel!" Sam said, blushing, and after the kiss, he scampered off, hiding behind Penelope, peeking out with just his eyes showing.

He knew... stealing a kiss wasn't right! But he couldn't help it! And it was just a peck on the cheek, just once!

"Sam!" Penelope quickly tugged his ear, "You... you..."

She was both amused and exasperated, unsure of what to say.

After a moment, she managed to keep from laughing and sternly said, "That's not okay, you know? Sam, you need permission to kiss someone, and boys can't just kiss girls."

"But I'm not a boy, I'm a kid."

Penelope was silent.

She was struggling not to laugh.

In a way, Sam's logic wasn't wrong.

A kid kissing a cheek wasn't much... but it was a bad habit.

It needed to change! Some things needed to be taught and nurtured from a young age!

"Kelvin," Penelope passed the problem to him, "You should educate your son."

Thessaly said, "It's alright, Sam is just a kid. He kissed me because he likes me, I don't mind, in fact... I'm happy."

"You see!" Sam said, feeling justified, "Thessaly agreed!"

Penelope tugged Kelvin's sleeve.

Kelvin glanced at Sam, "At your age, it's okay to kiss."

Kelvin was actually backing him up?

Sam had prepared a whole argument, but now it was useless.

"But you need to ask Thessaly first," Kelvin said. "You have to ask her, and if she agrees, then you can kiss. If she doesn't agree, you can't kiss, absolutely not. Understand?"

Sam nodded, "Got it! Let me practice now!"

With that, he dashed out from behind Penelope and returned to Thessaly.

"Thessaly, can I kiss you?"

Kelvin was silent.

Penelope turned away.

How did she end up with a son like this?

She was at a loss for words!

Thessaly was about to agree when Brandon slowly spoke up, "Sam, your dad forgot to teach you something. If you want to kiss a girl, and she agrees, but her boyfriend doesn't, you still can't kiss her."

Sam looked at Kelvin.

Kelvin nodded.

Even though he had issues with Brandon, he agreed with this principle.

"Alright..." Sam grumbled reluctantly, "Next time when you're not around, I'll ask Thessaly for permission to kiss her."

Penelope couldn't take it anymore and pulled him back, "Thessaly belongs to Brandon now, not you, so forget it, you can't have her, give up!"

Then she turned to Thessaly, "Kids are like this, don't mind him. It's getting late, we really should go... Thank you for having us today. Seeing you two so happy makes me happy too."

"Bye-bye."

"Bye, Thessaly."

From start to finish, Kelvin and Thessaly didn't exchange a single glance.

Not even a moment of eye contact.

Brandon had been watching, but he didn't notice any slip-ups.
