Penelope's emotions were finally starting to settle, and her rational side was kicking back in.
Kelvin had a point.
If he really wanted something to happen with Thessaly, he could've done it without leaving any evidence. Why would he let the paparazzi snap photos and send them to the company?
This showed he had no clue about it and didn't even care about what happened between him and Thessaly last night.

He didn't expect the paparazzi to blow it out of proportion.
They were probably looking for some hush money.

But Penelope's possessiveness was flaring up!
Why was it okay for Kelvin to be possessive over her, but not for her to feel the same about him?

If Thessaly was about to fall, and he helped her out of safety concerns, Penelope could understand.

"I believe you," Penelope said.

Kelvin kicked over a nearby chair. "Useless!"
The director trembled, not daring to speak.
From Kelvin's words, it seemed these photos were deliberately taken by paparazzi, and Kelvin and Thessaly were completely innocent.
