Chapter 935 You Never Got Penelope!
Kelvin couldn't be bothered to respond, his grip tightening even more.
Brandon was struggling to hold on, his arm bending under the pressure as Kelvin's fist drew closer and closer.
Seeing he was about to lose, Brandon gritted his teeth and used all his strength to shove Kelvin away, nearly collapsing from exhaustion himself.
"Come on, fight me like a man!" Brandon wiped the blood from the corner of his mouth, threw his jacket to the ground, and shouted, "Kelvin, let's settle this like men, fair and square!"
A good, clean fight!
Let's see who comes out on top!
He had wanted to do this for a long time!
Why did Kelvin get to rule LA with an iron fist, control all the power, have the woman he loved, and still look down on him?
"Fine, I'll give you what you want. I'll make sure you lose fair and square!"
Kelvin unbuttoned two buttons on his shirt and slowly rolled up his sleeves.
His eyes were filled with murderous intent!
He was going to beat Brandon to a pulp to vent his pent-up anger!
Nearby, a bodyguard watched the scene with concern. "Mr. Davis..."
"Stand back!"
"But..."
"Get lost! Don't interfere!"
As Kelvin's words fell, Brandon had already charged at him.
The two men were instantly locked in a fierce brawl.
Kelvin was a black belt in Taekwondo, having trained since childhood. Liam had made sure he could defend himself and build his strength.
Brandon had also learned some martial arts.
But after taking two punches from Kelvin, his stamina was already far from its peak.
And now, with Kelvin driven by rage, every move was brutal, each punch more vicious than the last, and his kicks were full of force!
In less than five minutes, Brandon was completely defeated.
He had lost.
He fell to the ground with a grunt, clutching his chest as blood churned inside him.
He tried to suppress it... but in the end, he couldn't.
A mouthful of bright red blood spewed from Brandon's mouth.
He was bruised and battered, his clothes covered in dust, looking utterly disheveled, a far cry from his usual suave demeanor.
Kelvin, standing victoriously, placed his foot on Brandon's chest.
"You lost," he said, "Brandon, in every way, you're no match for me. You're just... a loser!"
Brandon retorted, "But I had Penelope's body."
At those words, Kelvin's foot pressed down harder, grinding into Brandon's chest!
Brandon spat out another mouthful of blood.
Kelvin's face was now extremely grim.
He bent down, his foot still pressing hard on Brandon's chest, and said seriously, "Brandon, you and Penelope didn't have sex."
"No," Brandon shook his head, "I did have her."
"You didn't!" Kelvin countered, "From the timeline, it was impossible!"
"Does analysis matter? Do you have proof?" Brandon's tone was full of disdain. "Empty words, Kelvin. I shouldn't have to teach you that!"
Kelvin glared at him fiercely, "I'll find it! I'll prove you never had Penelope!"
Brandon showed no guilt, responding naturally, "If you want to deceive yourself, there's nothing I can do. It happened, and that's a fact. You want me to admit... we didn't have sex? Not gonna happen."
"Don't try to fool me. It didn't happen. Brandon, the more you insist you had her, the more I see it as a bluff!"
"Get lost. Since you dared to say in front of Penelope that you were leaving LA, I'll make sure that happens."
"When the time comes... even if you don't want to leave, I'll make you!"
Kelvin withdrew his foot, looking at Brandon as if he were trash.
"I used to think more highly of you, considering your past care for Penelope. But now, Brandon, you're no better than Isabella. Both of you are despicable, willing to do anything to achieve your goals!"
"Isabella claimed she loved you so much that it turned to hate, leading her to do all those crazy things. Did you feel her love? Did you accept it?"
Kelvin sneered, "The way you see Isabella's love for you is how Penelope sees your love for her!"
Brandon stared at him.
Isabella's love was madness, extreme and unbearable!
But his love for Penelope was nurturing, companionship, and a lifetime of protection!
Completely different!
Brandon refused to admit, "How could I be compared to Isabella? She's nothing like me!"
Kelvin retorted, "You think... you're better than her?"
He casually brushed the dust off his clothes.
"Brandon, remember, you'll always be my defeated opponent, always! Don't even think about a comeback!"
Then, Kelvin ordered, "Clean up the entrance!"
"Yes, Mr. Davis."
Without looking back, he walked into The King Manor.
Brandon coughed heavily, his body bruised and battered, struggling to get up from the ground.
Then, he laughed.
Kelvin had resorted to venting his emotions through fighting... it seemed he was truly out of options.
No matter, this was just the beginning!
In the side hall.
Penelope and Thessaly sat facing each other.
Everything that happened outside was clearly visible from here.
Penelope let the curtain fall, her fingers twisting together unconsciously.
Watching the two men fight, her heart was in knots.
Regardless of who won or lost, she would be worried.
But... fortunately, Kelvin wasn't hurt, and Brandon seemed to be in worse shape.
"You must be feeling awful too," Thessaly said, her eyes vacant, "And here I am, adding to your troubles."
"It's okay, it's no trouble."
Thessaly looked at her, "Penelope, does Mr. Davis trust you?"
She hesitated, finally letting out a sigh.
"Even if he trusts me, what does it matter? Can it cover up the truth?" Penelope said, "If he doesn't care, can I just pretend nothing happened and continue being his wife?"
Thessaly replied, "If he trusts you, you can still see a glimmer of hope in this world."
Penelope's heart trembled as she met Thessaly's gaze.
"Mr. Davis has always stood by your side, never condemning you, never blaming you, never saying anything harsh. Penelope... that's rare. Even an ordinary man couldn't do that, let alone him."
Thessaly's face was full of envy, but her heart was filled with sorrow.
Because she had nothing.
"Mr. Davis wants to pull you back, to bring you out of the nightmare of that night at the motel."
