Chapter 962 Mr. Davis, I Want to Avenge Myself!

"I've got it figured out, but... Penelope still doesn't know, right?" Thessaly was really worried. "How are we gonna break it to her?"

She wanted Penelope to see Brandon for who he really was, to stop being fooled and kept in the dark.

Brandon had no limits, pulling a stunt like this. Who knows what else he might try?

Kelvin was mulling over the same problem.

After a bit, he said, "We can't just come out and tell Penelope. She won't buy it, or at best, she'll be doubtful. Her thing with Brandon didn't just happen overnight; it's deep."

"So what do we do? Just sit back and watch? Do nothing?"

"People can't hide their dirt forever. Since Brandon's done it, I'll find a way to expose him. But we can't rush it; we gotta be careful not to tip him off."

Thessaly said firmly, "Mr. Davis, whatever you need from me, just say the word. I'll back you up and help show Brandon's true colors... and make sure Paul gets what's coming to him."

Silence lingered on the other end of the line.

Thessaly waited patiently for Kelvin's response.

She knew he had a plan, and only he could handle Brandon.

Even though her mind was a mess, Thessaly managed to pull her thoughts together.

She added, "Brandon's been trying to win me over lately. He's been super nice, even gave me a ride home today. Plus, he's been saying all these flirty things..."

"I think he wants to reel me in, to use me. But he's got it all wrong. He thinks I'm someone who only cares about love, willing to do anything for it. But I know better."

Thessaly remained calm and clear-headed.

She knew what needed to be done and what shouldn't be done.

Kelvin's soft breathing came through the phone, mixed with the sound of the wind.

Finally, he said, "Thessaly, since you've chosen to stand with me and Penelope, I trust you completely."

"Mr. Davis, you and Penelope have been my mentors, my guides. I remember all the good you've done for me! I would never betray you, nor would I side with Brandon."

Thessaly declared her loyalty.

Kelvin understood that she valued her integrity highly, and being wronged by Paul was a lifelong scar for her.

She hated Paul, and now she hated the mastermind, Brandon, even more.

He wasn't worried about Thessaly being swayed by Brandon; he was concerned about...

"Thessaly, are you sure you want to do this?" Kelvin asked. "You could stay out of it. I don't want to drag you into this. Just focus on your acting, and I'll handle the rest."

He would expose Brandon and deal with Paul.

It was only a matter of time, something Kelvin had to do.

When the time came, Thessaly would have her closure.

She didn't have to take any risks; she could just wait for the outcome.

"I'm sure," Thessaly replied, gritting her teeth. "Mr. Davis, I want to take revenge myself, personally!"

"It's dangerous."

"I'm not afraid."

Kelvin reminded her, "Brandon is meticulous and cautious. If he senses anything off..."

"I get all that, Mr. Davis," Thessaly emphasized. "I don't care. As long as I can get revenge, I'll do whatever it takes!"

"Alright," Kelvin said, seeing her determination. "Let's cut to the chase. Thessaly, you need to do two things."

"Lay it on me, Mr. Davis."

Kelvin laid out the plan—

"First, when Brandon flirts with you, play along. Act like you're head over heels for him. Acting's your thing, and I know you can pull it off. If he confesses or wants to be with you, you... go along with it. From now on, you're a woman tangled up in a romance with him."

"Second, you need to find Penelope."

"Find Penelope?" Thessaly was confused. "But Mr. Davis, didn't you say not to tell her yet because she wouldn't believe Brandon's that kind of guy?"

"You need to find her to somehow let her know that nothing happened between her and Brandon," Kelvin explained calmly. "I said she wouldn't believe it, but if you tell her, it'll be different."

Thessaly slumped against the couch, feeling powerless. "How do I say it... I don't have any proof..."

"Just tell her she's clean. You gotta be sincere and make her believe you completely."

"...Alright." Thessaly nodded. "I'll do my best."

She leaned against the cold wall, feeling weak, barely able to hold onto her phone.

It was sheer will for revenge that kept her going.

Kelvin sensed it too.

Before hanging up, his tone softened considerably. "You can reach out to me anytime. I'll back you up. If... you don't want to keep going or can't handle it, just let me know. I'll figure something else out."

"Why wouldn't I keep going? I'm gonna see this through to the end," Thessaly chuckled softly. "I want to see Brandon and Paul's downfall with my own eyes. I want to take them down myself, watch them pay a heavy price!"

She could do it!

Dealing with Brandon? She'd already tested the waters today! She did it!

All afternoon and evening, they were engaging in delicate probing of one another.

And now, Thessaly couldn't back out even if she wanted to; Brandon had already set his sights on her.

She could only move forward, no turning back!

"Alright," Kelvin agreed. "When you're with Brandon, find a way to gather evidence. With evidence, we can take him down completely!"

"I got it, Mr. Davis."

After hanging up, it was already late at night.

Kelvin suddenly felt the urge to smoke. But remembering he was about to encounter Penelope and the kids, he forced himself to suppress the craving.

He hadn't expected Thessaly to accidentally overhear Brandon and Paul's conversation, opening a crack in the case.

With Thessaly by Brandon's side, the chances of getting evidence were much higher, much easier.

Kelvin smirked.

Brandon wanted to challenge him? Wanted to take Penelope from him?

Not a chance.

He would never let that happen; he would never let Penelope leave him!

Brandon didn't stand a chance! Not even close!

Kelvin was confident. It was just a matter of time before he found Brandon's weakness, tore off his mask, and showed everyone his ugly true self!

At that time... his biggest concern was Penelope's feelings.

Her most trusted friend, the one who helped her the most, Brandon, would turn out to be a stranger.

She would be heartbroken.
