Chapter 892 First Love

As Penelope kept talking, her voice got softer, but you could still feel her excitement.

Kelvin made a good point!

What if, on the way to Monica's place, they suddenly hit it off and ended up hooking up? It could happen!

Calling now would just kill the vibe!

"You're right," Penelope nodded eagerly. "I'll wait until tomorrow to ask Monica in person!"

"That's just my guess. Monica might be waiting for you to call. You girls always have so much to talk about, don't you?"

"No, no, it's not urgent."

Penelope figured Monica was probably shy and didn't want to agree to Timothy's proposal at The King Manor, so she asked for three days to think it over.

But now, they're alone together. What's there to think about?

They should just get together already!

Penelope couldn't help but imagine: "If they become a couple, wow, the playboy turns into a devoted boyfriend. And Monica, the strong, independent woman, becomes a sweet, gentle girlfriend."

"Plus, their relationship foundation is solid. They've known each other for years, seen each other's best and worst sides. They might even get married by the end of the year!"

"Then we'll have to buy gifts and attend the wedding. Next year, Monica gets pregnant and takes maternity leave."

Kelvin felt he had to interrupt her before she started naming Timothy and Monica's future kids!

"Penelope," he gently pinched her earlobe, "you think they're a good match?"

"Of course! Timothy is a great catch. Good men like him are rare. You even said he's reliable." Penelope leaned in closer, "You better not cover for him just because he's your friend. If he has any dirt, you have to tell me."

"He has no dirt. He's trustworthy, and he's genuinely serious about Monica."

"I've observed Timothy for a while. Even though he jokes around with girls, he knows his limits."

Kelvin added nonchalantly, "He's all talk. In reality, he has zero experience."

Penelope was stunned, then burst out laughing, "What? Zero? Timothy is a virgin?"

"Exactly." Kelvin nodded, "Just as you thought."

Penelope laughed so hard she collapsed into his arms.

Who would've guessed?

Timothy, with his playboy looks, had no romantic experience!

And Monica, the fierce, no-nonsense woman, had never been in a relationship either!

They were perfect for each other!

"But," Penelope suddenly remembered, "when Timothy chose Crystal City over Nightstar City, you mentioned he had a woman he didn't dare to face in Nightstar City?"

Kelvin had only mentioned it briefly before, without giving details.

"Yeah," Kelvin nodded, "he chose Crystal City to avoid seeing that friend in Nightstar City."

"Sounds like there's a story there."

"Not really," Kelvin replied lazily, "Monica can ask him about it. Now's the perfect time to dig deeper."

Penelope racked her brain, "A woman, huh? So, first love?"

"How would I know how Timothy defines her?"

Penelope made a mental note to remind Monica to ask Timothy about it tomorrow!

Timothy couldn't have an old flame, an unrequited love, or a lingering, unresolved relationship!

"Will this affect their relationship?" Penelope asked, "I'm suddenly a bit worried."

"It won't. This was years ago, back when Timothy was in college."

That long time ago.

She thought it was something more recent!

Everyone had some beautiful memories or unforgettable feelings from their youth.

It was normal!

Penelope felt relieved.

"They're solid. They have to end up together," Penelope said. "I'll just wait for the wedding!"

She suddenly remembered something and looked up at Kelvin, "Oh, today I ran into Brandon and Thessaly at the office entrance. I think they have potential, too. They seem like a good match!"

Kelvin's large hand rested on the back of her head, pulling her closer, his chin lightly brushing her hair.

"Penelope, what's your profession?"

"Jewelry designer!" she answered without thinking.

"No," Kelvin said, "I think you've switched careers. You're a matchmaker now."

Penelope was about to argue, but then hummed, "Yeah, so what? Do you have a problem with that?"

"Not at all. You're the boss of this house. I just didn't expect you to meddle in other people's love lives, too."

Kelvin didn't understand.

He never cared about others, never got involved.

To put it nicely, he was busy. To be blunt, he was self-centered.

Cold, indifferent.

He only focused on himself.

After becoming a husband and a father, under Penelope's influence, he slowly changed.

Penelope snuggled against his chest, "Maybe you don't get it, Kelvin. When you find happiness, you want your friends to be happy too, to experience the joy of love."

"I have everything now. I have you, our child, our family, and my parents. I'm the happiest person in the world. During my toughest times, I wondered what kind of ending would be worth all the hardships."

"Today, I know. Maybe the universe knew I'd be incredibly happy in the end, so it set many obstacles for me. Each one I overcame brought me closer to happiness."

"When I look at Monica, at Tina, I can't help but think, such wonderful women deserve a great ending too. The hardships I've faced, I hope they don't have to, or at least less so. The detours I've taken, I want to use my experience to guide them, to be brave, to go after what they want."

Penelope didn't want them to go through her pain.
