Chapter 833 Inform Me When Meeting Other Women
Kelvin raised his hand and pulled her into his lap, wrapping an arm around her waist.
"So, what did you and Nathan talk about?"
"Just some casual chit-chat."
Kelvin pressed, "What kind of chit-chat?"
"Why? Are you checking up on me?" Penelope looked at him, "Why so detailed?"
"It's my right to check up on my wife."
Penelope suddenly hooked her arm around his neck. "I talked to him about something. I don't know if it'll work out. If it does, you'll know without me telling you. If it doesn't... no, no, no, it will work out!"
Kelvin leaned in closer, "What's so secretive?"
"It's about feelings."
"Feelings?" Kelvin's tension spiked instantly.
Feelings? Between her and Nathan? What kind of feelings could there be?
Penelope initially thought she shouldn't say anything since there was no progress yet, but she couldn't hold it in any longer!
With Monica not around, she needed someone to share with!
Otherwise, it was too unbearable!
"Alright, actually..." Penelope blinked, "I want to set Nathan up with a girl. The girl really likes him, but she doesn't know how he feels about her. I think he might be interested, too."
"I think they make a great couple, a perfect match. Now it's up to them. If they get together, I'll be so happy."
"But, Kelvin, I'm not telling you who the girl is, so don't ask."
Kelvin smirked, "I won't ask."
"Good."
"Because I already know."
"What?" Penelope looked at him in shock. "How do you know?"
Kelvin's hand tightened around her waist. "I told you before, nothing in the Davis Group escapes me. Did you forget?"
"But this is a personal matter!"
Kelvin rarely visited the jewelry department, so how could he know?
Does he have eyes and ears everywhere?
Or...
"Kelvin," Penelope poked his chest, "You didn't plant a spy in the jewelry department, did you?"
"I'm not that free."
"Then tell me, who is the girl? You wouldn't be pretending to know just to get me to spill, would you?"
Kelvin pulled her closer, "Do you want me to say her name?"
"Go ahead!"
She didn't believe he really knew!
Could he be that good?
Kelvin slowly began, "Ti..."
Before he could finish, Penelope covered his mouth.
He really knew!
How?
"Shh," Penelope looked into his eyes, "As long as you know, keep it quiet. This can't be publicized!"
Kelvin held her hand, kissing it gently.
"I don't care about them," Kelvin said, "If Nathan finds someone, gets married, and has kids, I'll give a big gift."
Because that would mean one less person thinking about his Penelope!
"It will happen, it will. I hope Nathan, like a brother to me, finds his lifelong partner."
"What?"
"Yes, Nathan has always been like a brother to me, a neighbor brother, a school brother, an upperclassman brother," Penelope said.
Kelvin's eyes narrowed dangerously.
Penelope wasn't fazed at all. "What, I haven't even confronted you yet!"
"Confront me about what?"
"Meeting with a movie star in private," Penelope said, her tone righteous. "Shouldn't I care? Should I just be broad-minded?"
She mimicked Kelvin's sarcastic tone.
She sighed, "You know, she's a movie star, a beauty among beauties, flawless in high-definition from every angle, stunningly beautiful..."
"Especially someone like Jessamine, who makes men want to protect her and knows how to act coy."
"Being alone with her, if she tried to seduce you, could you resist? Even if you could at first, could you keep resisting if she kept coming on to you?"
Kelvin didn't explain, "Go on."
Penelope felt a bit guilty.
Because she knew she was being unreasonable.
But so what? So what?
Why should Kelvin get to be sarcastic, but she couldn't turn the tables?
Penelope knew nothing would happen between him and Jessamine, but she had to say it.
He was always so suspicious, getting jealous if any man talked to her or got too close!
Thinking about that, Penelope straightened her back.
"From now on, Kelvin, if you meet another woman, you need to report to me. And try not to meet alone, have a third person there, got it?"
"Don't let your eyes wander, keep a few feet of social distance, and always think of me."
"If you can't do that, I'll make a fuss."
Kelvin asked, "Are you done?"
"Yeah, that's about it for now."
"Okay." Kelvin agreed easily. "Next time Thessaly comes, Penelope, you must be there so I don't get misunderstood."
Penelope wanted to laugh but held it in, keeping a straight face and nodding, looking reluctantly satisfied.
But...
"Kelvin, what kind of movie star do you like? Jessamine doesn't seem like your type."
He hadn't looked at Jessamine properly the whole time.
Was he really not interested, or was it because she was there?
Kelvin answered, "I like... you."
"I'm not a movie star."
"Dare I like anyone else?"
Penelope smiled, "Relax, I won't get jealous. Just chat with me."
Kelvin said seriously, "Strict upbringing, can't say."
"I give you permission." Penelope was curious, "I like tall, handsome actors with long legs and abs, who look amazing in romantic dramas!"
Kelvin asked, "Don't I have abs?"
"You're already mine, not as special anymore. I can only look at the actors."
Not special anymore?
Did she really say that?
Penelope changed the subject, "I asked what kind of movie star you like."
After a few seconds, Kelvin said, "Thessaly."
"Really?"
Was he saying that to get back at her for what she said earlier?
Kelvin asked back, "Do you want it to be true?"
