Chapter 440 Lucy, You Want a Little Brother or Sister too, Right?
Lucy turned to Madison, "Mom, did you hear that?"
She hugged Kelvin's neck, "Dad, you have to keep your promise! Pinky swear!"
"Alright, pinky swear."
"That bad woman isn't as good as Mom," Lucy said. "Dad, don't be fooled by her. Mom loves you the most, and so do I!"
Kelvin stayed silent, thinking, 'What if Penelope heard this? She'd be heartbroken.'
Madison noticed Kelvin's expression and asked, "Penelope hasn't been around much lately."
"Isn't that because of you?"
"Me?"
Kelvin replied coldly, "Didn't you keep saying I helped you deceive Lucy? She believed it. Madison, you've succeeded; she hates me now."
Madison was thrilled. She had stirred things up, and it worked!
She wondered, 'Penelope, what a fool!'
If she had known it was this easy, she would have done it sooner!
"Mr. Davis, this shows how much she doesn't trust you," Madison said, laughing. "Anyone with sense knows parents wouldn't harm their child. Lucy is your daughter; how could you hurt her?"
"Yes, I couldn't. But you did, and you succeeded!"
Kelvin's eyes were cold as he glanced at her.
Madison didn't care and leaned against him, her body limp: "I'm not inferior to Penelope, and I resemble her. I'm more compliant and won't dispute with you, Mr. Davis. Give me a chance.."
In the past, Kelvin would have pushed her away in disgust.
Madison knew this and was testing him.
Unexpectedly, this time, Kelvin didn't move.
She was overjoyed and almost clung to Kelvin. "Mr. Davis, whatever Penelope can give you, I can too. You're powerful and influential; why be obsessed with one woman?"

"I can have children for you too!" Madison pledged. "As many as you want!"
Kelvin said nothing, but Lucy looked at her in surprise."Mom, you want more kids?"
'With me and Sam, wasn't mom satisfied? Besides, Mom said having us was enough and she wouldn't have more kids. What's going on? Did she change her mind?' Lucy wondered.
"Yes, yes," Madison said, "Lucy, you want a little brother or sister too, right?"
"I..."
Lucy looked a bit reluctant.
"With a little brother or sister, you'll be the big sister, but the love from Dad and Mom for you won't decrease," Madison coaxed her. "Lucy, don't worry."
Madison definitely needed to win Lucy over to her side!
Otherwise, even if she got Kelvin, Lucy's tantrums could ruin everything!
Lucy looked at Madison, "I'm worried about your health. They say having a baby is really painful."
Madison was stunned, not expecting that. For a moment, she didn't know what to feel. Jealousy, extreme jealousy! Even though Lucy called her Mommy and worried about her, everything she had now belonged to Penelope!
Why should Penelope have such a sweet, caring daughter?
"I, I..." Madison stammered, unable to think of a response.
Kelvin asked softly, "Lucy, do you want a little brother or sister?"
She nodded.
Kelvin asked again, "You want one, but you're afraid Mommy will suffer, right?"
She nodded again.
Kelvin smiled, thinking,'Penelope's love for Lucy was unconditional. Lucy's love for Penelope had always been there too. She's just confused now, transferring all her love to Madison.'
"Daddy won't have any more children," Kelvin said. "Having you is enough."
Lucy blinked and looked at Madison. "But Mommy just said she wants to have a baby."
"Yes, yes, I want to," Madison quickly responded. "Lucy, Mommy isn't afraid of pain or hardship."
Lucy tilted her head and thought for a moment: "Alright, as long as Daddy and Mommy want to have a baby, I have no objections!"
Madison relaxed. She had been waiting for this! She couldn't let Lucy oppose her having a baby! She needed Lucy's support to secure her position.
Moreover, who knew when Lucy might wake up? Madison had to find a way to have Kelvin's child, her own child! Only then would her position be truly secure!
Even if she didn't become Mrs. Davis, she'd still be well-off, relying on the child for status!
"I'll go make lunch," Madison said. "Mr. Davis, why don't you stay and eat with us? Lucy said it's been a long time since she had a meal with Daddy."
"Yes, yes, Daddy, let's have a nice family meal together!"
Kelvin nodded. "Alright."
Madison was very pleased. It seemed her scheme to sow discord was working.
Kelvin and Penelope were clearly at odds now, especially with Penelope's stubborn nature, never willing to admit mistakes or back down, angering Kelvin!
So, she had to take this time to please and flatter Kelvin, keeping him by her side!
Penelope's charm was just luck that attracted Kelvin.

Watching Madison busy in the kitchen, Kelvin's eyes darkened. He saw the food again.
Watching Madison carefully take it out like a treasure and put it into the soup pot.
"Lucy," Kelvin asked softly, "since your surgery, do you think Mommy has been good to you?"
Lucy nodded without hesitation, "Very good."
"Any difference from before?"
Lucy immediately shook her head, "No!"
"Are you sure? Lucy, think carefully."
