Chapter 830 The Spokesperson of Adoring Cupid

"Year-end's coming up, and they're switching the spokesperson. Who do you think's gonna be the new face for 'Adoring Cupid'?"

"Are we talking a guy or a girl?"

"No clue, that's above our pay grade."

"I remember Ms. Perez really likes..."

"Well, it's Mr. Davis's call, or maybe Mrs. Davis will have the final word."

Their voices were low, but Penelope still caught every word.

A new spokesperson for Adoring Cupid?

Her eyes sparkled as she immediately thought of the perfect candidate!

A great spokesperson can skyrocket jewelry sales and embody the brand's image!

So, Penelope instantly thought of a female celebrity—Thessaly Winterbourne!

She's drop-dead gorgeous, with incredibly refined features, a commanding presence, holding two major awards, and millions of fans. She's the queen of endorsements.

Anything she wears or carries usually becomes a sell-out!

A trendsetter!

Most importantly, Thessaly isn't a veteran in the entertainment industry; she's a newcomer who debuted just two years ago!

In just two years, she's achieved such success and established herself in the industry, and her talent is undeniable!

Penelope wanted a spokesperson with that kind of vibe.

Jewelry is a lifelong accessory for women.

Women should live with their own flair, have their own attitude, and presence!

Thessaly perfectly matches Adoring Cupid's design philosophy!

Penelope has always hoped that Adoring Cupid's brand value and philosophy would encourage women to be their own masters, to please themselves rather than being confined by trivial matters!

She had to find Kelvin and seriously discuss this matter right now!

Without hesitation, Penelope got up and headed to the CEO's office.

If she could secure Thessaly as the spokesperson, she was confident that Adoring Cupid's brand influence would reach new heights!

Outside the CEO's office.

"Mrs. Davis?" Ryan looked up, seeing her stepping out of the elevator, and immediately went to greet her. "Are you here to see Mr. Davis?"

"Yeah, is he in his office?"

"He is, but..." Ryan coughed.

Penelope asked, "What's up? Is he with a client or in a meeting? Am I interrupting?"

Ryan replied, "Mr. Davis is meeting a well-known female celebrity to discuss the spokesperson matter."

"What?"

Kelvin had already decided on someone?

Who could it be?

Why didn't he consult her about it?

"I'll go in and check," Penelope said, quickly heading to the office.

Ryan didn't stop her.

He thought that there shouldn't be any issues. No matter how beautiful the celebrity, she wouldn't catch Kelvin's eye. His heart was only for Penelope.

Mrs. Davis wouldn't be jealous, right?

Yes, he was overthinking it.

Penelope knocked on the door, and Kelvin's deep voice came from inside, "Come in."

She pushed the door open and saw Kelvin standing by the floor-to-ceiling window, his back to the door.

Besides him, the room was empty.

Huh? Wasn't he supposed to be meeting a female celebrity?

Where was she?

Penelope looked around and deliberately said, "Kelvin, are you hiding a woman in here?"

Hearing her voice, Kelvin turned around, "Penelope? It's you?"

He thought it was the secretary bringing tea and snacks.

He frowned slightly. "What do you mean by hiding a woman?"

"Ryan said you were meeting a female celebrity, but when I came in, I only saw you," Penelope replied, a playful glint in her eye. "So I can totally suspect you hid her."

Kelvin's face darkened. "Nonsense, she just went to the restroom."

"Oh, I see..." Penelope stuck out her tongue, clearly teasing. She trusted Kelvin completely; she was just having a bit of fun.

"But you," Kelvin asked lazily, hands behind his back, "Did you meet Nathan today?"

"How do you know? Are you spying on me? Or did you put surveillance on me?"

He replied calmly, "In this company, there's nothing I don't know, only things I don't want to know."

"Ugh..." Penelope said, "Yes, I met him. We were alone in the reception room, had tea, and chatted. So what, is that not allowed?"

"It's allowed, of course."

"Then why ask?"

Kelvin's gaze fell on her, very meaningful, "I'll deal with you when we get home tonight."

Penelope immediately regretted her earlier bravado. It vanished instantly!

She was about to approach him and act all sweet, but the female celebrity who had gone to the restroom returned.

Penelope looked towards the door.

Though she wasn't a fan, she knew the popular stars in the entertainment industry.

Jessamine Thornhill.

Penelope wasn't too pleased. Jessamine was pale and petite, not quite fitting the spokesperson image she wanted.

But with Jessamine here, she couldn't say it outright.

She should greet her first.

"Hello..."

Penelope had just said hello when Jessamine glanced at her, her expression cold.

"A cup of black coffee, no milk, no sugar," Jessamine said, "And a small piece of whole wheat bread."

"What?"

"Do I need to repeat it?" Jessamine asked, "Black coffee and whole wheat bread."

She mistook Penelope for an employee.

Penelope was indeed an employee of Davis Group.

But she was also the wife of the Davis Group's owner and a shareholder!

Penelope looked down at her outfit.

A black pencil skirt and white chiffon blouse were very professional attire. No wonder Jessamine mistook her for the CEO's secretary.

Penelope stood still.

She might look like a secretary, but she wasn't going to do a secretary's job.

Jessamine didn't have the authority to boss her around!

"What's the matter? Aren't you going?" Jessamine asked, "I've been here for half an hour and only had a glass of water. Mr. Davis, your secretary's timing is really off, isn't it?"

Kelvin pursed his lips, "She..."

"Yes, my timing is off." Penelope raised her voice, drowning out Kelvin's. "If you want something, get it yourself. There's a refreshment area outside."

Jessamine's face changed immediately. "You want me to get it myself?"

"Yeah, you have hands and feet, don't you?"

"You..." Jessamine glared, about to curse, but remembered Kelvin was there, and held back her temper.

She gave Kelvin a charming smile, "Mr. Davis, look at your staff, they're really arrogant, daring to speak to me like this."

Kelvin didn't respond, leisurely walking to the sofa and sitting down.

Let Penelope handle it.

As for Jessamine, she was on her own!

She offended the wrong person, Penelope.

Seeing Kelvin's reaction, Jessamine thought he was reluctant to reprimand his staff in front of her.
