Chapter 890 I'll Wait For Your Answer in Three Days

Was Timothy serious about marrying her, or was he just infatuated, caught up in the moment, and simply wanted to have her?

Monica's question echoed the concerns of many women.

Women often wonder what exactly did he love about her? How much did he love her? Would it last? Would he leave?

Men seemed to approach relationships with a certain nonchalance, ready to withdraw or commit as they please.

But women were different.

Once they fell in love, they gave their whole heart and soul.

Timothy looked into her eyes, silent.

His silence only made Monica's already anxious heart even more unsettled.

Was he unable to answer?

Did he not want to address her concerns?

Penelope's heart tightened as well. She murmured, "Say something, Timothy! This is the perfect time to make your promise! Show your sincerity. Why are you silent now?"

"Ugh, this is killing me!"

"Just say what's on your mind!"

But the living room remained silent.

Penelope glanced at Kelvin.

Kelvin looked innocent and wronged.

He had no idea how many times he'd been on the receiving end of Penelope's sharp looks today.

He hadn't done anything wrong.

"Why isn't Timothy answering? Does he love Monica?"

"From what I know about him over the years, he's serious about her."

"Then why is he silent?"

Kelvin sighed softly. "How should I know? I understand him, but I'm not him."

Penelope's eyes shifted. "If I had asked you these questions when you were pursuing me, how would you have answered?"

"Penelope, you did ask."

She blinked, quickly recalling.

"Oh, I remember now." Penelope felt a sudden sweetness in her heart. "You said that sweet words are easy to say. You showed me through your actions how much you love me."

Kelvin's lips curved slightly. "Exactly."

Love wasn't just words, sweet talk, or grand promises.

Love was action, woven into the fabric of everyday life.

At that moment, Timothy's voice broke the silence.

"Monica, I don't know how to answer why I love you or what I love about you. Maybe love is just love, without a reason."

"If you need an answer, my answer is, out of all the people in the world, when I look around, I only see you."

"Everyone else is just background."

Given Timothy's status, he's seen plenty of beautiful, accomplished women.

But the only one who caught his eye and heart was Monica.

Only her.

"Monica," Timothy continued, "I don't know how to love you, but I'm willing to learn. I need to show you through my actions that I truly love you."

His pace was steady, his voice calm, creating a sense of ease.

Especially for Monica, his words were music to her ears.

But she steadied herself, forcing herself to remain rational and calm. "You speak so well. How much of it is sincere?"

"Is this considered speaking well?" Timothy was a bit helpless, yet he smiled self-deprecatingly. "I think I'm already quite inarticulate."

Under normal circumstances, he wouldn't be like this.

He only gave himself a score of sixty.

Maybe because, in front of Monica, he couldn't say those pretty words. He just wanted to express his genuine feelings in the simplest terms.

"Monica, I could say a lot of sweet words, but I think they're just for show, pleasant to hear."

His flowery words were for others.

For Monica, he had only a true and sincere heart.

Yet she questioned his sincerity.

Timothy felt a bit hurt.

Was he that bad at pursuing the woman he wanted?

"Okay."

Suddenly, Monica spoke.

Timothy, who had just lowered his eyes, looked up sharply, staring at her.

"I understand." Monica met his gaze. "But I think I need some time to think it over. Can you give me some time?"

"How long do you need?"

"Three days."

Timothy didn't hesitate. "Okay. I'll wait for your answer in three days."

Monica felt a weight lift off her chest.

She breathed a sigh of relief.

He was willing to give her time!

Three days were enough for her to think over their relationship and decide its future.

Enough time to consider if she dared to accept his love and take a leap of faith.

Because the outcome of a relationship can be good or bad, and no one can guarantee it will last.

But at least for now, Timothy was sincere.

And she had feelings for him.

Timothy walked up to her and gently ruffled her hair.

The intimate gesture made Monica freeze.

"If you had told me earlier that you just needed time to think, would I have chased you to The King Manor, demanding an answer?" Timothy said. "I thought you had no feelings for me at all, so I panicked and tried to push you."

He thought it was a make-or-break moment, so he gave it his all, afraid it would be the end.

But now he understood, she just needed time to think; she didn't dislike him.

So, he could wait.

Because of their height difference, Monica could only see his Adam's apple and collar.

She had always known Timothy was tall, handsome, and charming, but because they had known each other for so long, she had somewhat overlooked his attractive appearance and qualities.

But at that moment, Timothy's charm reached its peak in her heart.

He was the kind of man many women dreamed of.

He had broad shoulders and a strong embrace.

Just as Monica's heart was fluttering, Timothy suddenly took her hand.

She couldn't help but tremble slightly, feeling a strange current pass from his hand to her body.

A very peculiar feeling.

It wasn't their first time holding hands, but it was the first time her heart raced so fast!

Monica stammered, unable to speak, only wanting to pull her hand back.

But Timothy didn't give her the chance.

He held on tightly. "I'm not trying to do anything."

"Let go..."

"No, because I need to take you home," Timothy said. "Or do you plan to stay at The King Manor tonight?"
