"You snuck out without me," Kelvin's grip tightened a bit. "I can't sleep without you next to me."
He needed her scent, her small frame in his arms to feel secure and at peace, to drift into sleep.
When he woke up and reached out, Penelope was no longer there. His heart clenched with anxiety.
Where did she go?
She wouldn't just leave quietly, would she?
"Penelope," Kelvin whispered in her ear, "I told you, don't leave without telling me... I'm so scared you'll just disappear and never come back."
Just like four years ago.
And now, with everything that's happened, Kelvin was even more worried!
Thankfully, he saw her standing at the front door.
Only then did Kelvin feel completely at ease.
She was still there, within his sight!
"I... just went out for a walk, to get some sun," Penelope said. "I didn't expect Brandon to come by, so we chatted for a bit."

Kelvin looked up at Brandon.
When the two men's eyes met, the air seemed to crackle with tension, ready to explode!

Kelvin was domineering and forceful, while Brandon appeared gentle but was deeply cunning!
Even Penelope stayed silent in such a scene.
"Mr. Davis," Brandon said, "since you heard everything..."
"Then there's no need for more words," Kelvin interrupted. "Do you need a car? I'll arrange it right away."
Kelvin was straightforward, leaving Brandon no room to maneuver!
Brandon's fists clenched and then relaxed.
He hadn't expected Kelvin to show up at this moment.
The "leaving LA" move was intended to prompt Penelope to ask him to stay.
A strategic retreat!
Penelope couldn't see through him, but Kelvin knew exactly what was going on!
"Why aren't you saying anything?" Kelvin pressed, seeing Brandon's silence. "Is it a hard question? Or can you leave on your own without my car?"
"I..."
Brandon pursed his lips.
Of course, he couldn't really leave!
The Walker Corporation was here, his family was here, and his roots were here. Why should he leave?
Even if he ever left LA, it would be with Penelope!
For her, he could give up everything he had now and move to a new, livable city for a happy life!
Penelope gently placed her hand on Kelvin's. "Don't say that, how can we let Brandon leave? He is also..."
Kelvin held her hand back. "Penelope, this is not something you need to get involved in."

"Brandon, I think your suggestion is excellent," Kelvin said with a slight smile. "I'm glad you realized this issue and brought it up. I agree with you leaving LA."
Brandon couldn't directly refute Kelvin's words because Penelope was present.
He had to keep up his "gentleman" persona!
So, every word Brandon said had to be carefully considered.
"Mr. Davis... you're really not holding back," he replied. "So quick to let me go."
"You wanted to leave, I'm just following your wish, giving a little help."
"Then I should thank Mr. Davis."
Kelvin's smile deepened. "When are you leaving? What time? Penelope and I can see you off. Where are you going? The farther from LA, the better, so you won't be tempted to come back."
"As for your company, I can have someone take over. How about Timothy? You know his capabilities, he won't mess up your company, only make it thrive."
"And your parents... Penelope and I can take care of them."
Kelvin finished, adding, "Brandon, is there anything you're not satisfied with?"
Brandon... was dissatisfied with everything!
But he couldn't say it!
He looked at Kelvin, his face a bit grim.
"Mr. Davis is more thorough than I thought," Brandon replied. "I just brought it up, and you've already paved the way, solving my worries."
"It's what I should do. Since you're sacrificing yourself for Penelope and me, I can't let you down. Otherwise... you might come back to LA!"
Penelope felt Kelvin's words... were like pushing Brandon away.

But Kelvin told her not to speak, so she obediently stood by his side.
"Any other requests?" Kelvin asked again. "Brandon, feel free to ask. If I can do it, I will."
He knew Brandon wouldn't leave!

"Well said, Brandon," Kelvin replied. "I admire your generosity and self-sacrifice. But now, you've caused significant trouble for Penelope and me. Since you realize this and know what to do, then act on it."
He lifted his chin slightly, his eyes full of disdain and arrogance.
Brandon pondered how to respond.
However, Kelvin didn't give him the chance.
"Actions speak louder than words, Brandon. You wouldn't just say these things to Penelope and me without doing anything, would you?"
