Chapter 970 I Wish I Could Marry You Right Now
"What's up with this mess?" Timothy asked, grabbing a tissue. "How'd you manage to spill water everywhere?"
Monica reached for the tissue, but Timothy started wiping her face himself.
Her cheeks turned even redder. "I can handle it."
"Hold still."
Timothy was focused and precise.
Watching this, Penelope clicked her tongue. "You two act like I'm invisible."
Without looking back, Timothy shot back, "And how many times have you and Kelvin rubbed your relationship in my face?"
Penelope went quiet.
How was Timothy always so quick with the comebacks? She didn't even get a chance to tease him!
Back when she and Kelvin were all lovey-dovey, Monica never missed a chance to poke fun at them!
Now, when she wanted to say something, Timothy left her speechless.
No way, next time Kelvin had to be here. His sharp tongue could definitely match Timothy's.
But... Penelope stayed quiet, and Timothy wasn't about to let her off the hook.
"Why are you still here? Aren't you leaving?" Timothy asked. "Why are you hanging around? You're interrupting my time with Monica. Haven't you noticed?"
Penelope was silent.
"She's picking photos," Monica quickly explained. "I asked her to come over."
"Still not done? It's a five-minute job!"
Penelope jumped up. "Here, take my spot. Mr. Foster, with your keen eye, you're the perfect person for this!"
"Fine, I'll do it."
Timothy sat down at the computer without another word.
"Pick five out of twenty," Penelope reminded him.
Timothy clicked the mouse rapidly and selected five photos. "Done."
"Are you sure you looked carefully?"
"I went through them once."
"Once is enough?"
Timothy shrugged. "Why not?"
Penelope turned to Monica. "You tell me, did your boyfriend really exercise genuine consideration in his selection?"
"Well..." Monica gave Timothy a firm pat on the shoulder. "Be more serious!"
Could it be that men and women have different tastes?
Things they agonized over, he resolved in a snap?
"I was serious," Timothy said innocently. "What's wrong with these five? What's not to like?"
Penelope and Monica exchanged a glance, speechless.
Each photo was beautiful, flawless even!
Timothy added, "If you think it's a waste not to showcase the remaining photos, you could make a photo book."
They both exclaimed, "A photo book?!"
"Yes." Timothy leaned back in his chair. "Use these five photos for Adoring Cupid's promotions, posters, and packaging. The rest can be a photo book, given away for free!"
"Anyone who buys Adoring Cupid jewelry, regardless of price, gets an exclusive Thessaly photo book."
"This way, the photos are showcased, and sales are boosted. Thessaly's fans are big spenders. They might not want jewelry now, but for the photo book, they might buy!"
"To entice fans, we could add a creative touch to the photo book, like numbering them, making them limited edition, first-come, first-served."
"Everyone sees the photos, the jewelry sells, it's a win-win." Timothy clapped his hands. "What do you think? Any objections or questions?"
Penelope shook her head first.
"Wow, Timothy," she said. "Your business skills are impressive! No wonder you're the VP of Davis Group!"
Timothy chuckled. "Kelvin's the real business genius. This is just a small matter, no need to bother him."
Even Monica couldn't help but praise, "That's so clever and creative. Why didn't we think of that?"
"Ready to get started?" Timothy asked. "Still hesitating?"
"No hesitation! Thanks, Mr. Foster! I'll get right on it!"
Penelope hadn't expected such a tricky problem to be solved so easily.
For her and Monica, relinquishing any single image would prove utterly heartrending.
But now, no worries at all!
Timothy nodded. "No need to thank me, Mrs. Davis."
Penelope was still mulling over the idea of giving away a photo book with jewelry purchases, lost in thought, when Timothy waved a hand in front of her face. "Mrs. Davis? Daydreaming?"
"What?" she asked.
Timothy glanced at her, then at the door.
"What?" Penelope still didn't get it.
"Are you sure you want to keep hanging around here?" Timothy said. "Interrupting our time together?"
Penelope finally caught on. "I'm leaving right now!"
She couldn't believe she was the third wheel!
At the door, before leaving, Penelope turned back and said, "Take it easy, this is still a workplace, remember."
Then she closed the door.
Monica was already covering her face, feeling utterly embarrassed!
"Timothy, didn't Penelope's words just now sound familiar to you?"
"Yeah. Isn't that what I used to always remind her and Kelvin?"
"And how does it feel hearing it now?"
Timothy replied, "Feels great."
Monica was speechless.
"Better to be teased than not have the chance at all." Timothy pulled her into his arms. "Everyone in the company knows about us. What's there to be shy about, right?"
"You should calm down."
Monica wasn't as shameless as he was!
Plus, Timothy's affection was so intense and open, she felt like she was dreaming these days, and it felt amazing!
"Not holding back," Timothy said. "I want to express it."
During their honeymoon phase, they had just started dating, in the throes of passion, and Timothy wanted Monica by his side every moment. How could he hold back?
Monica looked at him, her eyes sparkling, and finally said nothing, leaning into his embrace.
When two people are in love, they don't need to do anything; just being together is wonderful.
"Monica," Timothy said, "love is a process. From meeting, getting to know each other, understanding, to falling in love. Marriage is another process. We need to adjust, adapt, accept each other, evaluate each other..."
She was startled. "You're already thinking about marriage?"
"I wish I could marry you right now."
She felt sweet but also a bit worried. "Marriage is a bit too soon."
