"There'll be more in the future," Brandon said with a grin.
"There won't be a future. I'm not gonna let you keep getting away with this!"
Brandon shrugged. "You talk like I've done something terrible."
Kelvin didn't bother to respond. He had no interest in wasting his breath on Brandon.
A man relied on his strength and influence.
Brandon had been defeated by him once and would always be. There was no way he could turn the tables and cause a stir, let alone take Penelope away from him.
Kelvin strode to his car and drove off.
Through the rearview mirror, he saw Brandon staring in his direction.
Kelvin smirked mockingly.
He would soon tear off that hypocritical mask from Brandon's face!
As Kelvin's car disappeared from view, Brandon's smile slowly faded.
Something was off.
Why would Kelvin come to the hospital alone, without any bodyguards or assistants?
Given his status and entourage, he was always surrounded by several individuals, especially in a place like a hospital.
Unless... Kelvin didn't want anyone to know!
There was definitely something going on!
Brandon quickly came up with a plan.
He called a detective. "Find out what Kelvin did at the hospital today. If you can get his medical records, that would be even better!"
"Mr. Walker, you want me to investigate Mr. Davis?"
"Yes."
"I can't take this job," the detective refused repeatedly. "If I get exposed, it's no big deal, but I can't risk exposing you."
Brandon instructed, "I'm not asking for a thorough investigation. Just find out what you can. For example, which department he visited, which doctor he saw. Can't you even manage that?"
"Understood, Mr. Walker!"
"Do it quickly," Brandon said. "Report back to me immediately!"
After hanging up, Brandon's expression softened a bit.
He still didn't know why Kelvin had come to the hospital, but he was there to visit the urology department.
Thessaly's words from last night had been like a thorn in his heart!
Yes, that night, even if it were just two minutes of sex, it would have been enough. Why couldn't he do it then?
Brandon, who cared about his image, wouldn't admit it out loud, but he knew deep down.
He was worried he might have erectile dysfunction!
Whether he did or not, getting checked would give him peace of mind.

Back at Davis Group, Kelvin sat at his desk, listening to Ryan's report.

After Ryan finished his report, he put down the documents and waited quietly for Kelvin's instructions.

"Mr. Davis?" Ryan called tentatively. "Do you have any instructions?"
Kelvin snapped back to reality and sat up straight. "You can leave now."
"What?"
"Leave."
Ryan glanced at the documents in his hand. "But..."
"Leave them," Kelvin said. "I'll call you if I need anything."
Ryan couldn't figure out what was going on with Kelvin, so he nodded. "I'll go now. Let me know if you need anything."
He quickly left.
Kelvin leaned back in his chair, closed his eyes, and took a deep breath.
The more critical the moment, the more he couldn't afford to panic.
He was confident that his health wouldn't have major issues, but he also had to prepare for the worst.
Only by having a backup plan could he avoid being caught off guard if the worst happened!
"Timothy," Kelvin picked up the phone on his desk. "Come to my office."
"Now?"
"Yeah."
"I'm in a meeting," Timothy said. "Give me ten minutes."
"Alright."
After hanging up, Kelvin dialed the chief lawyer of the legal department, Dwight Murray. "Come to my office."
Dwight responded, "Yes, Mr. Davis."
Kelvin's sudden desire to see him puzzled Dwight. Davis Group had been quite peaceful lately!
Dwight quickly arrived.
"Mr. Davis."
"Sit," Kelvin gestured with his chin. "I need to consult you about the shares."
Dwight immediately replied fluently, "Mr. Davis, currently, the majority of Davis Group's shares are under Lucy's name. However, since Lucy is not yet of age, Mrs. Davis holds them on her behalf."
"Previously, you and Liam transferred your shares to Lucy, and the contracts were signed. I have copies. Mr. Davis, do you have new ideas about the share distribution?"
Dwight thought Kelvin might want to allocate more shares to his newly acknowledged son, Sam, rather than giving everything to Lucy.
In wealthy families, greater reverence was accorded to the demarcation of gender distinctions.
But Kelvin's response completely surprised Dwight!
"Yes, I want to redistribute," Kelvin said. "I want to transfer all my remaining shares in Davis Group to my wife, Penelope, free of charge."
Dwight was stunned. "Mr. Davis, you don't want to keep any for yourself?"
"None."
"That would make Mrs. Davis the largest shareholder of Davis Group, with absolute control!"
Dwight spoke tactfully, but Kelvin understood.
Essentially, the entire Davis Group would be under Penelope's control. She could do whatever she wanted, and no one could oppose her. She would have veto power in the boardroom.
This was the highest authority in a corporation.
Previously, this power was in Liam's hands, then Kelvin's. Now... it would be in Penelope's hands?
Penelope might be Kelvin's wife, but divorce was always a possibility.
Even if Kelvin transferred the shares to Sam or Lucy, Dwight would find it normal. But giving them to Penelope... was truly unexpected!
"Yes," Kelvin said firmly. "I want her to control the entire Davis Group."
Dwight was stunned, his mouth half-open, unable to react for a long time.
