Chapter 1095 Is This Hospitalization or Imprisonment?

"Alright," Kelvin replied, "I'll take you with me when I leave the hospital."

Penelope stayed quiet.

By the time they got back to the room, it was already getting dark.

Penelope had just taken off her coat when Cameron and a group of nurses walked in.

She was startled. What was going on?

Did something happen? Was there a major change in Kelvin's condition?

"Cameron..." she hesitated, "Why are there so many people here all of a sudden?"

"Nothing, just doing rounds."

Penelope let out a sigh of relief. That scared her!

It was a good thing they got back just in time. If they had been a minute later, Cameron would have caught them sneaking out!

She patted her chest and glanced at Kelvin.

Kelvin, however, looked as calm as ever.

After all, he was used to being in control. He was the one who scolded others, not the other way around!

But... Penelope overlooked one thing.

Kelvin had dyed his hair!

It was obvious he had gone out!

"Mr. Davis, your hair..." Cameron asked, "It was white this morning, and now it's blonde? Did you dye it?"

Kelvin responded, "Yeah, does it look good?"

"It looks fine. But, Mr. Davis, the hospital has its rules. You shouldn't leave without permission."

"Rules?" he asked, "Do they apply to me?"

In Kelvin's eyes, his rules were the only rules that mattered!

No one else's rules counted, and no one could control him!

Cameron immediately fell silent.

Kelvin might be his patient, but at the end of the day, Kelvin was still a powerful and wealthy man!

Not someone you could afford to offend!

Penelope quickly said, "Sorry, Cameron, it won't happen again. We just suddenly decided to dye his hair at a salon nearby. We didn't go far."

Cameron replied, "Mrs. Davis, Mr. Davis needs his infusion treatments at fixed times every day. They can't be early or late. And with the weather so cold, if Mr. Davis catches a cold, it will be worse for his lungs and delay his recovery."

"Okay, I'll make sure to watch him."

Penelope acted like a well-behaved student.

And Kelvin was like the class bully, impossible to tame!

Moreover, while Penelope was being obedient, he was trying to drag her into rebellion!

"What's the matter?" Kelvin's voice rose, "Is that the tone you use to speak to my wife?"

Cameron quickly waved his hands, "No, Mr. Davis, I..."

Before Cameron could finish, Penelope walked over and sternly said, "Can you be quiet for a moment?"

Kelvin immediately fell silent.

The nurses nearby almost couldn't hold back their laughter.

What was this?

A perfect match!

Kelvin might be a powerful figure, but in front of Penelope, he had to behave!

Penelope only needed a look to keep Kelvin in check!

Maybe this was love!

After Cameron and the nurses left, Kelvin sat on the couch, arms crossed, not saying a word.

"Take your medicine." Penelope handed him the pills and a cup of water.

He took them, still silent.

"What's wrong? Upset?" Penelope asked, "Because I scolded you in front of everyone?"

"No."

Penelope sat down beside him, "So you can speak after all. I thought you had gone mute."

"I just hate being stuck in this hospital. Now I can't even step outside..." Kelvin frowned, "Is this a hospital or a prison?"

"It's just a few more days. Hang in there. Your health is the priority."

"I'm perfectly fine."

Penelope countered, "You still need infusion treatments. You're not fully recovered!"

Kelvin suddenly pulled her onto his lap, his lips brushing against her ear, "If you want to know if I'm recovered, you can feel for yourself."

Her face turned bright red, burning hot.

"Stop it." Penelope pushed against his chest, "We just got caught by Cameron and the nurses... Did you forget so quickly?"

"Lock the door."

Penelope fell silent.

Kelvin chuckled, his voice deep and magnetic, as he ruffled her hair, "Alright, I won't tease you. We'll wait until I get discharged, then we'll have a good time at home..."

She quickly covered his mouth!

How could he be thinking about sex in the hospital, right after surgery?

When she stopped him from talking, he started kissing her palm, making it tickle.

She had no choice but to let go.

Kelvin leaned on her shoulder, holding her, "Penelope, if you won't let me satisfy my hunger, you have to make it up to me somehow."

"What do you want?"

"Take me out tomorrow."

Penelope, "?"

What was he saying?

Kelvin was serious, "Penelope, didn't you have fun today? There are so many places in downtown LA we haven't been to. Let's explore while we can."

"Cameron said..."

"Don't listen to Cameron. We'll sneak out."

Penelope was still hesitant, "But..."

"Fine, we won't go." Kelvin said, "But tonight..."

His eyes were full of mischief.

Penelope quickly dodged, "Let go of me. I'll sleep on the couch tonight. I'm not sharing the hospital bed with you."

With her strength, how could she escape Kelvin?

He easily pulled her back into his arms!

"Penelope, let's go. Let's repeat today's fun and find more good places to eat and play."

Penelope kept a stern face, not answering.

He nuzzled her neck gently, "Look, I agree to everything you ask. I stay in the hospital because you want me to, and I don't mention going home. You scold me in front of Cameron and the nurses, and I take it. Penelope, I only have this one request. Are you really going to refuse me?"

His words made Penelope's heart soften.

He was just bored in the hospital, and she wouldn't let him work, so how was he supposed to pass the time?

Besides... Kelvin taking her out meant eating and having fun together.

"Okay? Okay?" Kelvin kept asking, "Penelope, don't you want to go? Didn't you have fun today? Didn't you enjoy the empanadas? The cheesecake..."

"Alright, alright." Penelope finally gave in, "I'll agree, but if Cameron doesn't, what can I do?"

"Cameron?"

"Yes, we need his approval."

Kelvin pursed his lips, "We don't need it."

Penelope was firm, "We do. Cameron will check on you first thing in the morning and assess your condition."
