Chapter 1065 The Person Behind Me is Mr. Walker

"What? Seriously?"

Sam kept bragging, "And I didn't mess up at all. I got the bug transferred and handed it off to Kelvin!"

Penelope glanced at Kelvin.

Kelvin gave a slight nod, "Yep, that's right."

Sam puffed up with pride.

If he had a tail, it would be wagging like crazy!

"Nice work," Penelope praised, "We owe you one."

She had no clue any of this had gone down.

Even though she was there, she hadn't noticed a thing.

Sam, despite being so young, was cool as a cucumber. He not only tricked her but also managed to cheat Brandon!

Otherwise... if the bug hadn't been transferred, there'd be no proof, and Brandon's dirty deeds would stay hidden!

"So, can I come with you?" Sam asked, blinking, "Maybe I can help!"

Kelvin and Penelope spoke in unison, "No way."

No one knew what the situation was like over at Thessaly's place. Bringing Sam and Lucy along would mean having to look after them too.

And... what if Brandon was there?

Sam and Lucy still didn't know what Brandon had done or what kind of person he really was!

Kelvin and Penelope had spared Brandon some dignity by not telling Sam and Lucy about Brandon's true nature.

Partly to give Brandon some leeway, and partly to avoid ruining his image in Sam and Lucy's eyes.

"Alright, stay home," Kelvin said, "You're still sick, and it's getting dark. You can't go out in the cold."

He then looked at Lucy.

No matter what, he couldn't be stern with Lucy, so he softened his tone, "Lucy, stay home and take care of Sam, okay?"

Lucy replied, "Okay, Dad."

Kelvin took Penelope's hand and left the King Manor.

Downstairs in the neighborhood.

Paul hadn't left yet, stubbornly waiting at the building's exit.

He couldn't believe Thessaly would stay hidden forever!

Sue him? Try to send him to jail? Ruin his directing career? Destroy his future?

No way!

He couldn't let Thessaly succeed!

Besides, what bad thing had Paul done? He just had a one-night stand with Thessaly!

Not even a whole night! Just a few hours! What's the big deal?

Moreover, it was Brandon who had sent Thessaly to him.

"Thessaly, come out, let's talk!" Paul cupped his hands around his mouth, "We can settle this out of court! Don't keep hiding from me. We can discuss face-to-face what you want!"

After several rounds of shouting, Thessaly finally appeared at the window.

She pulled back the curtain and opened the window, "I have nothing to say to you! See you in court!"

Just looking at Paul made her feel dirty!

"This kind of mess is bad for both of us," Paul said, "Why make it a lose-lose situation? If I'm not doing well, do you think your career will go smoothly?"

"I want nothing anymore." Thessaly smiled slightly, "I just want you to confess and face justice! I want to see your downfall with my own eyes!"

Paul quickly changed his tone, smiling cheerfully, "Don't be so extreme. Everything can be discussed. Leave some room for negotiation. Don't be too absolute in your actions."

Thessaly gave him a cold look and was about to close the window.

"Wait, wait," Paul pleaded, "Let's talk more. I can apologize, even kneel if you want. You can vent your anger on me, however you like it. I admit it, I'm sorry, I'm a jerk, I'm worse than an animal, okay?"

Little did he know, his groveling only made Thessaly more disgusted!

"Paul, your apologies now are not sincere. You're just worried about your own future! So, I won't accept them!"

Paul's smile started to falter.

This woman was really difficult!

In the entertainment industry, everyone was shrewd. How could there be such a stubborn woman? She was so inflexible; who would support her or provide her with resources? How did she get this far?

Just then, footsteps sounded behind him.

Paul turned around impatiently and was almost scared to death.

He couldn't believe it. The people who had come were Kelvin and Penelope!

How could it be these two distinguished personages!

These were people Paul couldn't afford to offend!

"Mr. Davis," Paul managed to straighten his tongue, "Mrs. Davis..."

Penelope glanced at him, "What's the point of you hanging around Thessaly's building?"

"I, I, I..."

Paul could still be eloquent and flexible in front of Thessaly, handling the situation with ease.

Because he looked down on Thessaly from the bottom of his heart.

He was only temporarily compromising for his own future.

But when facing the real bosses, Paul was still very timid.

Kelvin saw through his tricks at a glance!

"I'm here to admit my mistake," Paul laughed dryly, "I deeply realize my error. I want to reach an out-of-court settlement with Thessaly, avoid making a big scene, and prevent it from getting ugly. In the end, no one benefits, right? Don't you agree?"

He nodded and bowed, looking like a sycophant.

Penelope found it repulsive!

Paul's eyes darted around, and he lowered his voice, "Mr. Davis, Mrs. Davis, there are too many people and eyes outside. How about we go to Thessaly's place and sit down to talk properly? You know, my backer is Mr. Walker. Mr. Walker still has photos..."

Before he could finish, Kelvin kicked him directly!

Paul let out a scream, flew ten feet away, and fell to the ground, rolling in pain!

Kelvin's kick was not light!

Brandon always used Thessaly's photos to threaten him, which had already annoyed him enough. To protect Thessaly's reputation, he almost chose to hide the truth, letting Penelope never know Brandon's true nature.

It was Thessaly who had the courage to go all out, bringing out the evidence and tearing off Brandon's hypocritical mask.

This was Brandon holding Kelvin's weakness!

When had Kelvin ever been held by someone?

This matter was already frustrating. Brandon always brought it up and threatened him, but a mere Paul dared to mention it in front of him!

He did not want to live!

What right did Paul have to threaten him!

"Mr. Davis, I..." Paul was terrified, ignoring the pain, and quickly asked, "What did I do wrong? What did I say wrong..."

Kelvin replied casually, "You think you can talk to me? Who do you think you are?"

Paul immediately fell silent.

Indeed, who was he to be on equal footing with Kelvin!
