Chapter 785 Kelvin, You're Favoring Your Daughter!

Penelope thought about Kelvin's usual attitude towards Sam and suddenly shivered.

They always had conflicts. Would their father-son relationship improve?

Given Sam's mischievous nature, sometimes even she couldn't help but want to hit him, let alone Kelvin!

Sam said, "When I was with the Walker family, I overheard the servants chatting. They said the richest family in all of LA is the Davis family. The combined wealth of the Walker family and the Mitchell family isn't even half of the Davis family's. Kelvin, is that true?"

"It's true," Kelvin nodded.

The top family was the top family; there was no need to hide it.

Too much wealth couldn't be hidden.

Besides, he had no reason to hide the family's wealth from Sam.

It was every parent's instinct and nature to provide the best living conditions for their children!

"Then, since I'm your son, can I inherit your position and your wealth in the future?"

"You can."

Sam's eyes lit up. "How many billions of dollars are we talking about? Kelvin, I think you're a bit stingy."

He raised an eyebrow. "Me, stingy?"

It was the first time he had heard someone call him stingy!

"Yeah, when that bad woman kidnapped me, you only offered two billion dollars," Sam said, still holding a grudge. "In your mind, my worth should be at least twenty billion dollars!"

Sam asked, "How many billions of dollars is the Davis family's wealth worth?"

Kelvin blurted out, "Hundreds of billions of dollars."

"Hundreds of billions, then I should be worth at least a third of that!" Sam said. "No, no, twenty billion dollars is too little. I need to raise my worth!"

"When you grow up and take over my business, you'll manage all this money."

Sam thought for a moment. "That's more like it. Only a smart son like me can help you manage such a big business. If it were Lucy, she couldn't do it. She's too soft-hearted and easily deceived."

Kelvin replied, "She won't manage the company; she can hire someone to do it."

"What if the person she hires isn't reliable?"

"She'll get married and have a husband," Kelvin said. "Her husband will help her manage it."

Sam was still worried. "What if her husband treats her badly? What if he runs off with the money?"

"Her husband will be someone Penelope and I personally select, a top-notch talent with exceptional character and ability."

"But in the face of enormous wealth, are you sure people's hearts won't change?"

It was surprising to hear such a perceptive comment from someone so young.

Penelope couldn't listen anymore. "Can you wish Lucy well for once?"

"I'm just hypothesizing, it's not real," Sam replied. "She can be a carefree little princess, and I'll take on the burden of managing the company and inheriting the family business!"

"Yes, she's a princess, and you..."

"A prince," Sam interrupted. "I'm Lucy's brother!"

"You're her subordinate," Kelvin said slowly. "The one managing the company for her."

Sam was stunned. "What do you mean?"

"Most of the Davis Group's shares have already been transferred to Lucy's name. The contracts are signed, the fingerprints are there, and the lawyers have witnessed it. Unless she voluntarily transfers the shares to you, she will always be the largest shareholder of the Davis Group."

Sam looked at Penelope.

Was this for real?

He had no share?

Penelope nodded. "I was there when the share transfer contract was signed."

"Favoritism! You are biased!" Sam kept shouting. "You favor the daughter! Why do I have to work for Lucy?"

In other families, the son was usually favored.

In his family, it was completely reversed!

Sam was very dissatisfied!

He wanted to protest!

He didn't care about the number of shares or the money; he was just unhappy with Kelvin's actions!

Why did everything go to Lucy?

In the future, Lucy would always show off in front of him!

"What's ours is yours and Lucy's. What's Lucy's is yours. We're all family; why make such clear distinctions?" Kelvin asked. "Would Lucy really be heartless enough to exploit you?"

"She would!"

Lucy might look sweet and innocent, but she had a little devil inside!

He would be exploited for life!

"Then be nicer to her. Maybe if she's in a good mood, she'll give you some shares."

"Alright, Kelvin, stop teasing him," Penelope said, patting Sam's head. "Don't listen to your dad's nonsense. We wouldn't be so biased towards Lucy."

"But the shares are all in her name!"

Penelope asked seriously, "Do you care about this a lot?"

"I don't care," Sam said. "I even fully agree with you giving all the shares to Lucy and letting her hold them alone. But the problem is, before you do that, you need to ask for my opinion and get my consent."

He didn't want money, shares, or wealth.

What he wanted was respect and understanding because he was also a part of this family!

Penelope smiled and nodded. "Your reaction was so intense just now, I thought my education had gone wrong, making you care more about money than family."

"In this family, all major decisions are made by a vote of four. Each of us holds one vote," Sam said. "How can you ignore my vote?"

"Alright, it was our oversight. It won't happen again."

Sam pouted.

"The shares aren't all in Lucy's name," Penelope explained in detail. "Lucy is still young, a minor. Even if the shares are transferred to her, she can't hold them; I have to hold them on her behalf. So, the most shares in the Davis Group are currently in my name."

She continued, "When you and Lucy are both adults, I'll distribute these shares. Your dad was just joking with you; don't take it seriously."

Sam scoffed. "I don't believe it. That's exactly what he thinks and will do in the future. He favors the daughter! He likes the daughter and doesn't like the son at all!"

"That's not true, Sam."

"Alright, Mom, stop making excuses for Kelvin. I've already figured it out!"

Penelope was taken aback. "Figured out what?"

"Kelvin doesn't like me!" Sam said. "Every time I play with Lucy, his eyes change. He keeps staring at me like he can't stand me but can't do anything about it."

"He bought an entire amusement park for Lucy. When Lucy invited me to play, he wasn't even happy about it!"

"As long as he's around, whenever I get close to Lucy, he pulls me away like I'm some kind of virus that can infect Lucy."
