Chapter 1012 What Evidence Did You Give Kelvin?

Kelvin: "Got it."

"No way!" Brandon shouted. "I checked you thoroughly. You had nothing on you!"

Thessaly shot him a glance. "I hid it in my mouth."

"You!" Brandon's face went pale.

"I had it all planned out," Thessaly continued. "If I couldn't keep it in my mouth, I would've swallowed it. Then, I would've had it retrieved through a stomach pump. Lucky for me, you only checked my body and didn't think to check my mouth."

"So what that you hold it in your mouth? You... how precisely did you deliver it to Kelvin?"

Clearly, Kelvin and Thessaly had kept their distance, with no physical contact.

"Do you think I'd be dumb enough to hand it directly to Mr. Davis?" Thessaly replied, her face expressionless. "Brandon, haven't you figured it out yet?"

Brandon clenched his fists, replaying the events in his mind. Suddenly, it hit him.

"Sam!" Brandon yelled. "You gave it to Sam when you hugged him!"

Thessaly nodded. "Yep, seems you haven't completely lost your wits."

"You bastard!"

In a fit of rage, Brandon slapped Thessaly hard across the face.

Her head snapped to the side, and her hair fell loose. She was shocked but quickly laughed at herself.

Brandon never had any feelings for her. A slap was nothing. After all, she had stayed by his side only to gather evidence. His reaction was understandable.

But that slap, though it landed on her face, hurt her heart.

"Brandon, is this your skill and upbringing, hitting women?" Thessaly asked. "No matter how polished you appear on the outside, it doesn't change the fact that you're a scumbag at heart!"

Brandon was starting to panic, his emotions getting the better of him. He grabbed Thessaly by the hair. "What evidence did you give Kelvin? What did you find?"

"You were so cautious around me. How could I have taken anything from you? Brandon, your cleverness backfired. When you planted a bug in my bag, you never thought it would one day become the evidence to bring you down, did you?"

Thessaly's red lips curved into a smile as she looked at him.

The bug... Brandon immediately understood!

He had identified Thessaly as Kelvin's ally by extracting fingerprints from the bug. But when he interrogated Thessaly, the bug was right there, recording everything!

And he had overlooked it! In his effort to keep Thessaly under control and confined, he had forgotten to remove the bug, completely forgetting its existence!

He never imagined that the bug would be both his rise and his downfall!

"Here it is," Kelvin said, holding it between his fingers. "Brandon, you should be very familiar with this."

The small black metal device was no bigger than a fingernail, easily overlooked.

But Brandon looked like he was about to collapse, his body swaying unsteadily.

"I've listened to the conversations recorded on this," Kelvin said, rubbing the device. "Your own admissions are more damning than any other evidence. Brandon, what do you have to say now?"

The living room fell into a deathly silence, broken only by the howling wind outside.

Suddenly, Brandon lunged at Kelvin like a madman, trying to snatch the bug.

But Kelvin casually tossed the bug into the air.

The bug traced an arc through the air.

Brandon hadn't expected Kelvin to do that!

Such an important device, and Kelvin just threw it away?

Brandon's eyes followed it, and as soon as it hit the ground, he rushed over and grabbed it tightly.

Kelvin stood still, watching him, as if he were watching a clown.

"Did you get it?" Kelvin asked. "And then? What now?"

Brandon realized that if Kelvin had dared to bring it out and toss it so casually, he must have already made backups.

In his haste and agitation, he had forgotten that.

Sure enough, Kelvin said calmly, "I've already made numerous backups of the recordings. You can't destroy them all. Brandon, you can't hide the truth forever."

"Fine, fine!"

Brandon threw the bug to the ground, smashing it into pieces that nearly hit Thessaly's face.

"You two have been plotting against me all along, taking evidence from me. Despite all my precautions, you still succeeded... Fine, well done!"

Brandon's face twisted with rage.

Kelvin looked at him, finding it hauntingly familiar.

He had seen this look on Isabella before.

Kelvin clasped his hands behind his back. "Brandon, we can still negotiate. Let Thessaly go first."

"No way!" Brandon said. "If you and Thessaly leave, Penelope will know the truth in no time!"

No, he couldn't let Penelope find out that the events at the hotel that night were all his doing!

Absolutely not!

Penelope would hate him, be disappointed, and look at him with a completely unfamiliar gaze... Brandon couldn't bear that!

He loved Penelope so much, he had changed himself, becoming cunning and ruthless, all to win her over.

Just like Isabella had once tried to win him over.

So, he really was just like Isabella!

"Are you afraid? Afraid Penelope will know the truth?" Kelvin sneered. "Then why did you do it? When you drugged her, when you took her to the hotel, when you..."

Kelvin couldn't continue.

If he said more, he might not be able to resist dealing with Brandon right then and there!

Such a pure and innocent Penelope, almost defiled by Brandon!

Fortunately, he had discovered it in time, and his subordinates had arrived quickly enough!

Otherwise, Brandon would have succeeded in his machinations!

"Alright, Brandon," Kelvin said, pressing his lips together. "I can promise not to give the evidence to Penelope, never letting her know the truth. Because I don't want to see her hurt because of you."

Brandon stared at him. "Name your terms!"

"My terms are simple," Kelvin said, his logic clear and unhurried. "First, I don't care what excuse or explanation you use, but you must go to Penelope and admit that nothing happened that night, making her believe that you two have always been innocent."

"Second, let Thessaly go and completely withdraw from her life, never bothering her again."
