Monica had no clue that the more she talked, the more Penelope's anxiety spiked.
Everyone kept saying Kelvin wasn't that busy, didn't need to work overtime, and definitely wasn't staying at the office until the crack of dawn.

Just as she was mulling this over, a chorus of exclamations erupted from the office: "Check this out!"

Several colleagues were glued to their computer screens, their faces lit up with gossip and excitement.
Penelope, puzzled, asked, "What's going on? What happened?"
Monica immediately grabbed her phone. "Let me see... Damn!"

"Thessaly sued the director, Paul, for rape, and had already filed a lawsuit."
"The production team has yet to respond."
Monica's eyes widened in disbelief as she looked at Penelope. "This..."
Penelope was equally stunned.
She knew about Thessaly and Paul's situation. She had even suggested using legal means to make Paul pay for what he did.
Thessaly had said she didn't want the issue to blow up, ruin her career, and destroy her reputation and future.

What had happened?
Thessaly had exposed everything herself and even allowed the media to report on it?
Seeing Penelope's bewildered expression, Monica asked, "You didn't know? Thessaly didn't discuss this with you?"
"No."
"Not a word?"
"Not a word," Penelope replied. "I saw her just last night. I took Sam and Lucy to her place for dinner. She seemed perfectly normal, laughing and chatting with me, not a hint of anything serious!"
Monica was equally baffled. "Why didn't she tell you beforehand? Having someone to help and give advice would have been good. Can she handle this alone?"
Thessaly was now the most talked-about celebrity in the entertainment industry.
Not just by fans and the public, but by her peers within the industry!
Countless actresses were watching her, waiting for her to fall, eager to step on her and snatch her resources!
They hoped the higher she climbed, the harder she'd fall!
They wished for her current glory to turn into future misery!

"I... need to find Kelvin," Penelope said, standing up abruptly. "This is too serious."
She hurried to the CEO's office.
As she pushed the door open, she saw Kelvin sitting at his computer, his fingers moving the mouse, his brow furrowed.
"Did you see the news?" Penelope asked, slightly out of breath from rushing. "Thessaly, she..."
Kelvin nodded. "Yeah, I saw it."
"What do we do?" She was worried.
What was Thessaly's purpose in doing this?
Was she disregarding her relationship with Brandon?
This incident happened so long ago. Why bring it up now?
What was Thessaly thinking? Penelope couldn't understand!
"I'll call her."
Kelvin reached for the phone.
Just as his hand touched it, Ryan knocked on the office door. "Mr. Davis, Ms. Winterbourne is here."
"Let her in!"
She had come to Davis Group herself!
"Mr. Davis... Penelope," Thessaly walked in. "You're here too."
Penelope looked at her, noticing she seemed completely unbothered, calm, and even had light makeup on, looking refreshed.
Ryan stood at the door. "Mr. Davis, there are many reporters downstairs waiting to interview Thessaly. How should we handle this?"
"Send them away. No gatherings allowed."
"Understood." Ryan quickly went to handle it.
Thessaly said, "Sorry for the trouble. That's how the entertainment industry is. Whoever has news value becomes the media's darling. They follow you everywhere. They're all waiting to interview me now. Even a close-up photo of me online would get a lot of clicks."
Just the headline "Actress raped by director" was enough to generate massive traffic!
Especially since Paul was a well-known director and Thessaly a famous actress.
Countless people were speculating whether Paul had really assaulted Thessaly or if they had a private falling out that was now public.
Kelvin stared at her for a long moment.
After a while, he asked, "Thessaly, do you know what you're doing?"
"I know exactly what I'm doing," Thessaly replied. "In fact, I think I should have done this sooner. I shouldn't have delayed or hesitated."
After exposing everything, Thessaly didn't feel the anxiety or fear she had imagined.
Instead, she felt calm.
She had the courage and determination to face any situation!

Being constantly manipulated by Brandon, unable to do what she wanted, was unacceptable!
Kelvin's face darkened. "You're being reckless!"
Thessaly hadn't told him anything; she just went ahead and exposed everything.
Now, the situation was out of control.
Brandon must have seen the news, too, probably discussing countermeasures with Paul!
"I'm not being reckless," Thessaly said. "Mr. Davis, since you won't hurt me, I can hurt myself, right?"
This step had to be taken by her!
Kelvin's face was cold, and he said nothing, his anger genuinely ignited.
Thessaly lowered her head, remaining silent.
Their conversation left Penelope utterly confused.
She seemed to understand, yet didn't understand at all!
Seeing the tense atmosphere between them, Penelope stepped forward, standing in front of Thessaly.
