Chapter 773 I Helped You and Offended Kelvin
"I was the first to know," Timothy replied. "When you went to the small town to find Molly, I discovered that Sam is Penelope's son."
Kelvin squinted his eyes. "You knew back then?"
At that time, he didn't even know Penelope was still alive!
Let alone that he and Penelope had children!
He was just going to the small town to find Molly!
"Yes," Timothy nodded. "To be more specific, it was the day you locked Sam in the hotel room, using all sorts of threats and bribes to get him to reveal Molly's whereabouts."
Kelvin's face grew increasingly grim.
"At that time, Molly—oh no, Molly is Penelope, yes, Penelope," Timothy rubbed his hands together. "Penelope knew you had taken Sam, so she came to the hotel to find him. By coincidence, I opened the door and saw her."
"I was so shocked and confused that I didn't tell you."
Kelvin definitely wouldn't believe Timothy's words!
Kelvin snorted coldly. "I remember it all now."
"It was your wife who asked me to keep it a secret, Kelvin! I was in a tough spot too!"
"You were in a tough spot?" Kelvin raised an eyebrow. "It seems to me you were completely siding with Penelope!"
"You and I are good friends."
The more Timothy spoke, the more absurd it sounded.
In fact, he was doing it on purpose, trying to change the subject.
However, Kelvin wasn't so easily fooled.
"Timothy, how did Sam escape from the hotel back then?"
"He stole my keys while I was sleeping."
"Hmm?"
"Alright," Timothy admitted. "I gave him the keys."
Kelvin asked again, "When you were chasing him, you took the wrong road and lost him on purpose, didn't you?"
"Yes."
Seeing that Kelvin wanted to continue questioning, Timothy quickly interrupted him. "I had no choice, I was forced! I wasn't helping someone else; I was helping your wife. After all, you are all family!"
In short, Timothy tried every way to distance himself from the situation!
But it didn't seem to work.
Kelvin's face remained extremely grim.
Timothy had discovered it so early! Yet he hadn't said a word!
At that time, he had even gone to the small town himself, again and again, searching for Molly, to no avail.
He thought he had gained nothing.
Unexpectedly, the one who gained the most was Timothy!
Timothy not only saw Penelope as soon as he opened the door but also discovered Sam's existence!
"Perhaps you know more than just this," Kelvin looked at him dangerously. "Timothy, you found out Penelope was still alive and that she had a child, yet you managed to stay calm and not show any shock?"
Anyone who discovered that someone who was supposed to be dead for four years suddenly appeared would be surprised, panicked, and show a confused expression.
Timothy, however, was unexpectedly calm and even managed to keep it from him.
So, there was only one possibility.
Timothy had known all along that Penelope wasn't dead! That she was still alive!
Timothy sighed deeply. "Kelvin, I've only done two things wrong to you in my life, and you found out both. You just discovered one, and now you've discovered another."
The impact was too great.
Timothy had already anticipated that his days ahead would be very difficult!
Forget it, he might as well confess everything.
Timothy said, "I'll confess everything. The other thing is that I did know four years ago when Penelope jumped into the sea, she didn't die."
Kelvin's face could no longer be described as grim.
It was a murderous expression!
He wanted to swallow Timothy alive!
"Four years ago, you asked me to investigate why Brandon and Penelope suddenly started interacting frequently, whether they were planning something."
"Yes," Kelvin nodded. "I took this matter very seriously and didn't trust anyone else, so I specifically asked you to investigate. You kept saying you couldn't find anything, but in reality, you found out that Brandon helped plan Penelope's fake death by jumping into the sea and chose to keep it from me?"
Timothy remained silent.
He had tacitly admitted it.
Kelvin was very smart.
He had figured it all out!
Kelvin snorted heavily, and the hospital room was filled with a low pressure.
"Alright, very good." He suddenly curved his lips into a smile. "Timothy, the two things you did really crossed my bottom line!"
Timothy could only look at Penelope.
He was helping her!
She should say something!
But Penelope just looked at him.
"I can't even protect myself," Penelope said softly. "How can I plead for you?"
Timothy wailed, "So you're just going to leave me? I helped you, offended Kelvin, and now I have to take the blame?"
How unlucky he was!
Where was the justice?
Next to him, Monica was shocked after hearing everything.
"Timothy!" she said. "You knew Penelope wasn't dead and that she had twins! But you didn't say a word! You even kept it from me! Do you know how sad and upset I was during that time?"
"What could I say? Who could I tell? If I told you Penelope wasn't dead, that she was rescued after jumping into the sea and living in a strange city, wouldn't you think I was crazy?"
These years, Timothy had a hard time too!
He knew everything but couldn't say anything.
Now it was all out.
He actually felt a sense of relief, as if a burden had been lifted!
"Alright, that's the whole story. Do whatever you want!" Timothy said. "Kelvin, I was helping your wife, not someone else. You can understand that, right?"
Kelvin ignored him and looked at Monica. "When did you find out?"
"Penelope told me herself," Monica pouted. "Just recently."
Before Kelvin could speak, she quickly added, "I'm Penelope's best friend, of course, I'm on her side. It's only natural and reasonable for me to keep her secret! No matter what happens, I'll stand by her. I'm not like Timothy. He's your friend; I'm at most your employee!"
Timothy gritted his teeth. "Monica, don't kick me when I'm down."
"I'm just telling the truth."
"You're throwing your boyfriend under the bus."
She silently distanced herself from Timothy.
It was better to stay away from him for now!
