Chapter 790 You Have Such A Dramatic Son

Kelvin, who was usually so composed, couldn't help but roll his eyes at this moment.

Coincidentally, Liam turned his head and saw the eye roll.

"What did you do to Sam?" Liam asked. "Look at him, he's so scared he doesn't even dare to speak!"

"What could possibly scare him?" At least, in all the days Kelvin had known him, he had never seen Sam afraid!

"You don't understand!" Liam scolded. "Get away from Sam. Standing here, you're giving him a sense of oppression."

He impatiently shooed Kelvin away, then turned to Sam with a smile. "Go ahead, don't be afraid."

Sam pouted, "Kelvin said the company's shares won't be given to me in the future."

"What?"

"He also said he prefers daughters, and that I'm just optional."

"What?"

Kelvin couldn't take it anymore and tried to explain, "I..."

Liam said, "Shut up!"

Sam almost couldn't hold back his laughter!

"Actually, I don't care about the shares or the preference for daughters," Sam continued to pout, looking pitiful and aggrieved. "But Kelvin's words still hurt me."

Liam quickly comforted him, "What he says doesn't count. As long as I'm here, I won't treat you unfairly."

"Really?"

"Of course. As for the shares, you and Lucy will definitely get half each, equally distributed. There's no favoritism. You and Lucy are both Davis family children, equally important."

"What you have, Lucy will have too. What Lucy has, you'll also have!" Liam said earnestly, "I love you, and I love Lucy."

Sam looked at Kelvin. "Kelvin, do you think the same as Great-grandpa?"

Could Kelvin say no? He had to say yes!

Moreover, he did indeed believe in gender equality.

There was nothing that only men could do, and nothing that women couldn't do.

But Sam's deliberate question made him reluctant to answer.

He couldn't stand Sam's smug look!

Seeing Kelvin remain silent, Liam raised his cane and tapped Kelvin's leg. "Are you mute? Or deaf? Sam is talking to you, can't you respond?"

Seeing this, Sam quickly spoke up, "It's okay, Great-grandpa, don't hit Kelvin. He's often like this, I'm used to it."

"Really?" Liam's eyes widened. "He often ignores you? That's unacceptable!"

"Maybe it's because I'm not good enough."

"You're great! It's him who's not good!" Liam said. "Kelvin, what's wrong with you? Is this how you treat your son?"

Kelvin's lips were almost pressed into a straight line. "Grandpa, Sam still doesn't want to call me Dad."

Unexpectedly, Liam said, "With your attitude, it's no wonder he doesn't want to call you Dad! Look, as soon as I arrived, he called me Great-grandpa! Why is that? Reflect on it yourself!"

Sam continued, "No, Great-grandpa, it's my fault."

Liam was so fond of him that it hurt. "You're wonderful, excellent, and sensible. It's your dad's problem. I'll have a good talk with him. Don't hold it against him."

After saying that, Liam walked out. "Kelvin! Come out for a moment!"

Kelvin glanced at Sam.

"Get used to it," Penelope said. "You has such a dramatic son. Even I have been tricked by him, let alone you."

Kelvin turned and left.

After everyone left, Penelope gently tapped Sam's nose.

Sam blinked his big, watery eyes. "I didn't do anything, Mommy."

He even mimicked Lucy's tone.

The siblings both had big, round eyes, just like Penelope's, very lively.

Such eyes on a boy's face made him incredibly handsome.

Who knew how many girls he would charm when he grew up, and how many girls' youth he would be a part of.

Penelope shivered. "Act normal."

"What's wrong, Mommy?"

"Sam!"

"Okay," Sam pouted, "Are you feeling sorry for your husband?"

"If I weren't still lying in this hospital bed, you'd have twisted my ear off by now," Sam said. "I'm taking advantage of being a patient to be a bit more dramatic."

Penelope asked, "Aren't you dramatic enough? You almost lost your life being dramatic!"

"I was saving you, not being dramatic."

"Alright, behave yourself." Penelope glanced at the door. "Mr. Liam Davis is probably scolding Kelvin now, all because of you."

Sam looked at her disdainfully.

Penelope said, "What's with that look? He's still mad at you for hiding my identity, and instead of being mad at him, you're feeling sorry for him already. Feeling sorry for a man is the first step to bad luck!"

"Where did you get this nonsense?"

"This is the truth!"

Penelope pressed, "What's the second step to bad luck?"

"Being soft-hearted towards a man!"

"And the third step?"

"Spending money on a man!" Sam said. "Spending money on a man brings bad luck for ten generations!"

Penelope replied, "Oh, I spend Kelvin's money."

Sam was momentarily speechless.

But Sam quickly recovered. "Show some backbone. It's always the woman getting mad and the man comforting her. How come with you two, it's the man getting mad and the woman comforting him?"

"Because I married a husband like this."

"It's not too late to change now."

Penelope quickly covered his mouth!

Outside the hospital room.

Liam was full of satisfaction, unable to stop smiling. "With Lucy, I was already content. I never expected to have Sam too. Kelvin, the Davis family is lively now."

"Yes," Kelvin nodded. "Penelope has endured a lot these past four years."

"She really has. Raising two kids alone is no easy task. I understand why she chose to hide Sam's identity." Liam sighed. "It's our fault for not doing well enough, making her afraid and unwilling to openly bring the child to us."
