Chapter 910 Meeting You Is My Luck

Looks like they might become a couple!

"What a coincidence," Penelope said. "Brandon, are you here for dinner too?"

"Yeah, meeting a friend. But I got here early, he's still on his way."

Penelope gestured to the empty seat. "Why don't you join us? It's rare to bump into each other here. Thessaly and I were just talking about endorsements."

Brandon took a seat, smiling warmly. "Thessaly is quite the busy bee these days. She's juggling the Adoring Cupid endorsement and reviewing scripts."

"Scripts?"

"Yeah, the movie I'm investing in. I introduced Thessaly to the director. They hit it off, and the director likes her. I think she's perfect for the lead role."

Penelope's face lit up with excitement. "Really? That's fantastic!"

When Brandon and Thessaly first met, he mentioned his movie investment and casually suggested that Thessaly might be perfect for the lead role.

And now, it was happening so quickly!

Everything was falling into place!

Brandon added, "She earned the director's approval with her acting skills and understanding of the character. Even though I'm the investor, I didn't play favorites. She got the role on her merit."

"Of course! Thessaly's acting is impeccable. Those two Best Actress awards weren't just handed to her!"

"Absolutely," Brandon nodded with a smile. "I'm looking forward to seeing Thessaly in this film. She's going to shine. Here's to a successful collaboration."

Thessaly looked at Brandon, her eyes sparkling.

But there was a slight hesitation in her gaze as if she couldn't hold eye contact for too long.

She would never forget their first encounter.

A skateboarder almost crashed into her, but Brandon appeared and saved her.

Looking up at Brandon for the first time felt special to Thessaly.

It was like those scenes in the movies she acted in, where the hero and heroine fell in love at first sight.

Brandon, with his gentlemanly demeanor, was the perfect knight in shining armor.

She remembered Brandon's advice to watch where she was going.

Thessaly didn't dare to dwell on the memory, afraid her emotions would show and be noticed.

"If you two keep praising me, I might get a big head," Thessaly laughed. "Honestly, you both have been such a blessing. One gave me a global jewelry endorsement, and the other introduced me to the director, landing me the lead role in a major film."

Penelope said, "It's because your image and presence are perfect."

Brandon added, "Your acting skills are undeniable, and the director recognized that."

"Alright, enough talk. Let me toast to you both." Thessaly sincerely raised her water glass. "Penelope, Brandon, meeting you has been my good fortune."

Brandon leisurely poured himself a glass of water.

He glanced at Penelope's glass.

It had water.

Brandon raised his glass too. "Let's toast."

Penelope nodded. "Congratulations!"

Penelope didn't think twice about the water, not a hint of caution.

It was just water, not wine.

And she had already had several glasses!

The glasses clinked lightly.

Brandon took a sip and then checked his phone. "My friend's here. Penelope, Thessaly, I'll leave you to your conversation."

"Alright," Penelope replied. "Bye."

Brandon stood up, and glanced at Thessaly, as if he wanted to say something, but swallowed his words.

He hesitated.

Penelope noticed his expression.

Thessaly saw it too.

She wondered what Brandon wanted to say. Was it because Penelope was there? Or was it something else?

Thessaly often suppressed her thoughts, avoiding overthinking.

She felt different lately, not quite herself.

Maybe it was because she had been single for too long.

Thessaly thought about her meeting with Kelvin, how her heart raced, feeling a spark.

Now, with Brandon, her heart felt even more intense, and she could sense it!

Because Kelvin was someone she couldn't and shouldn't fantasize about.

But Brandon was single, just like her.

Penelope seemed to be subtly trying to set them up, and Thessaly could sense it.

But she was interested, what about Brandon?

He seemed interested, too, but Thessaly wasn't sure.

She feared she might be imagining things.

Thessaly was cautious, worrying about everything, but Penelope had no such concerns.

She directly asked, "Do you have something to say to Thessaly but feel uncomfortable because I'm here? It's fine, just say it. I can step out for a bit!"

As she spoke, she stood up, ready to leave.

"No, no," Brandon stopped her. "I just wanted to say, the friend I'm meeting is the director. If Thessaly is free, she could join us and chat."

"Of course, she's free," Penelope replied. "We've pretty much wrapped up our conversation."

"I thought you ladies might have more to discuss."

"Anything else can wait. This is important."

Thessaly stood up too. "The director's here? Then I should go meet him."

The director is the heart and soul of a film.

Before shooting starts, actors need to meet with the director and discuss the plot and characters, to better perform their roles.

Thessaly was dedicated and talented.

She had read the script, and though it wasn't fully completed, she was already impressed.

It was a rare gem, a great story!

She was confident that if the film was successfully made and released, it would elevate her career even further!

"If you don't want to, it's fine. I just mentioned it casually," Brandon said. "We just happened to meet, I didn't specifically plan this. Don't feel obligated."

"I'd like to meet him. I have some questions for the director."

Brandon glanced at Penelope.

"Go ahead, it's fine," Penelope said. "It's getting late, I should head home anyway."

Kelvin was waiting for her at home, probably getting jealous.

If she was late, Kelvin might come looking for her!

A cold glint flashed in Brandon's eyes.
