Chapter 812 Brian Woke Up!

Sam's injury meant he would need to stay in the hospital for at least another couple of weeks.

Penelope had to take care of their son, and Kelvin spent most of his time in the hospital room with her, which naturally brought them closer.

Every day, whatever the couple did, they had to consider Sam, which was really inconvenient!

Not to mention, Sam had a sharp tongue and never let anyone off the hook!

Penelope pushed Kelvin away. "Alright, the kid's here, be mindful of the influence."

"I think he's recovering well, no need to worry." Kelvin's eyes were dark and intense, like he was ready to devour someone. "Tonight, you should go home and get a good night's sleep."

Oh, God!

Would she really be able to sleep well at home?

She might as well stay in the hospital room!

"I..."

Penelope was about to respond when someone knocked urgently on the door. "Mr. Davis, Mrs. Davis!"

"Speak!"

The bodyguard outside the door shouted, "Brian is awake!"

What?

He finally woke up!

"I'll go check on him!" Penelope immediately hurried out.

She had been waiting and worrying for days, and finally, there was good news!

Penelope couldn't wait to run to Brian's hospital room!

Kelvin was about to follow when Sam shouted, "Wait, what about me? Take me with you!"

Kelvin paused. "You want to go too?"

"Of course! He's my savior. How could I not go?"

Kelvin turned back and looked at Sam.

Sam's hand was in a cast, his neck wrapped in bandages, and his upper body was bandaged like a mummy.

He had been recovering well these past few days and could slightly turn his neck now.

Compared to when he first woke up, stiff and unable to move, he was much better.

But he still couldn't get out of bed and walk.

"I can take you," Kelvin said. "But..."

Sam looked at him warily. "What do you want?"

"Call me Dad."

"No way!"

Kelvin was actually using this to blackmail him!

Kelvin was too cunning!

"Fine, whether you call me Dad is up to you. Whether I carry you is up to me." Kelvin nodded slightly. "Then you can continue lying here alone."

With that, he turned to leave.

"Hey, hey, hey, Kelvin!" Sam shouted loudly. "Wait, don't go!"

"Will you call me Dad?"

"No!"

Kelvin continued walking out.

"Kelvin, you heartless jerk! Just because I interrupted your moment with Mom, you're treating me like this? Kelvin!"

"Bodyguards! Doctors! Nurses! Someone, come here!"

Sam kept shouting, but it was useless.

Kelvin stood at the door. "Even if you shout until your throat is sore, no one will come to carry you."

He was joking. With him standing there, who would dare act without his permission or without reading his expression?

"I'll tell Mom on you," Sam said. "You won't take me to see Brian!"

"She can't help you."

"Kelvin, you evil capitalist, ugh!"

"You're the son of a capitalist."

Sam deflated like a punctured balloon.

Yeah, cursing Kelvin was like cursing himself!

After all, they were father and son! Heart to heart! Blood ties!

"Do you really want me to call you Dad that badly?" Sam asked. "Is it about your ego, or do you genuinely see me as your son?"

"What do you mean, see you as my son? Sam, you are my son. You have my blood, my genes, and even your personality is a lot like mine!"

"But calling you Kelvin just feels more natural."

Kelvin didn't say anything, just reached for the door handle and pulled it down.

He was really about to leave.

Seeing this, Sam quickly spoke up. "Alright, alright! Dad, take me to see Brian!"

A true warrior knows when to yield and when to stand firm!

For now, he would lower his head and achieve his goal!

Next time, Kelvin wouldn't hear "Dad" so easily!

Kelvin turned back and walked to the bedside, and a faint, smug smile appeared on his lips.

He was the dad.

Sam was just the son.

Could a son outsmart his dad?

Sam needed another twenty years of experience!

Previously, Kelvin had let Sam win a few rounds, and Sam got cocky, thinking he couldn't be dealt with?

What a joke!

Kelvin had plenty of ways and means!

See, the first "Dad," Sam obediently called out!

He would first put Sam in his place; otherwise, Sam would really think he was something special!

"Kelvin," Sam gritted his teeth, "just you wait, I'll get my revenge!"

Today's humiliation, he would remember!

That "Dad" was forced! Not sincere!

Kelvin's hands, which had just reached out, now retracted. "What did you call me?"

Sam immediately backed down.

"Dad."

Kelvin was satisfied and picked up Sam effortlessly as if he was carrying a chick.

After all, he could easily carry Penelope with one hand!

In the intensive care unit.

Brian was covered in tubes, surrounded by various medical instruments.

"It's good that he's awake, it's the best outcome!" The attending physician breathed a sigh of relief. "As long as he can wake up, it means he's out of danger. He's really lucky, a rare miracle!"

Falling from such a height, Isabella died instantly, with no chance of survival, but Brian miraculously survived!

After multiple rounds of rescue, blood transfusions, and doctors taking turns in the ICU 24/7, they finally saved Brian's life!

"Brian! Brian!"

Penelope's voice came from outside the door.

She ran in quickly, her tone full of joy, heading straight for the bed.

Brian's eyes moved slightly and slowly opened.

"Mrs. Davis..."

His voice was small and weak, and he was trying hard to raise his volume, but he was too frail.

"You finally woke up!" Penelope's eyes instantly reddened when she saw him. "I was so worried about you, so afraid that you... would just..."

Brian tried to force a smile, but he couldn't.

"It's okay, I'm... okay... as long as... Mr. Cooper is safe, then..."

"Don't worry! Sam is fine. He woke up before you. He's okay and recovering well!"

Brian finally showed a relieved expression.

"Thank you, Brian, if it weren't for you, Sam..." Penelope choked up. "You're very brave, you're a hero, our family's savior!"

"You're... too kind."

Penelope turned to the doctor. "How is he now? Is he gradually improving?"
