Chapter 208 It Was Mom Who Told Me to Change the Medicine

Anthony screamed in horror. It was indeed Mr. Davis's face!
He hadn't seen it wrong!
And that face was covered in blood, dripping along his chin.
Anthony remembered that when his father had just had an accident, his face was covered in blood!
Exactly the same!
At this point, Anthony's psychological defense had begun to collapse.
He held his head and crouched on the ground, shouting, "Go away, don't come, Dad, rest in peace. What are you looking for me for... please, go away, Dad! I'll go to your grave tomorrow!
"If you have something to tell me, you can dream it. There's no need for you to come in person. Spare me, Dad. I'm scared!"
Mr. Davis crouched in front of him, "Anthony, you finally see me; won't you open your eyes?"
Anthony kept his eyes tightly shut.
At a glance, he remembered how Mr. Davis looked before he died!
It was his nightmare!
Mr. Davis reached out and gently placed his hand on Anthony's shoulder. But Anthony waved in panic, exclaiming, "Don't touch me, don't touch me!"
"Anthony, Dad came to see you just to ask you a question." The man said.
Anthony was about to cry, "Dad, you ask, ask, and then leave!"
In the horror park, the atmosphere was eerie and set.
In addition, Anthony was already extremely frightened with sweat soaking his whole body "Why did you kill me? Why?" Mr. Davis stepped forward. His face almost touching his face. "I am your father; I raised you; how much hatred do you have for me, to want me dead..."
"I didn't, Dad, what are you talking about! I don't understand!"
"You still don't tell the truth in front of me? Who switched my medicine? The life-saving medicine that Dr. Cooper gave me, why did it become a lethal drug? You know best!"
Anthony shook his head repeatedly, "I don't know!"
Mr. Davis sighed deeply.
Blood dripped from the corner of his mouth, falling on Anthony's hand, making him shiver, curling up his body, and trembling more and more.
"Dr. Cooper wanted to save me, but he became the one who harmed me; his family was destroyed because of me, and this life is ruined." Mr. Davis said, "You are obviously the one who harmed me, but you are enjoying the wealth and glory of the Davis family... life is so unfair.
"Anthony, what have I done to you that I deserve to die? You tell me, let me die with truth!
"Over the years, you and your mother have lived a life of luxury and comfort. Aren't you satisfied? Why? Speak up! Answer me!" Mr. Davis's voice rose, his hand gripping Anthony's shoulder, shaking him.
"Dad, it's not me. I don't know anything... It wasn't me. Please don't blame me!"
"It was you!" Mr. Davis said, "Dr. Cooper mentioned the medicine, and you volunteered to get it. The life-saving dose turned into a lethal one because of you!"
Anthony became more convinced that the man was indeed his father. No one else could have known all these details!
"Dad came to find me, to take my life, no, I want to live... I don't want to die..." Anthony kept repeating, his eyes rolling back, almost fainting. "I was forced. I never wanted to harm you! Dad..."
Mr. Davis pressed on, "If you didn't want to harm me, who forced you? Who suggested it to you?!"
"I... I..."
"Speak up!" Mr. Davis roared, "If you don't answer, then go to hell with me. What's the use of having a son like you?!"
"Please, Dad, I'll tell you everything!" Anthony, tears streaming down his face, finally confessed, "It was Mom. Mom asked me to switch the medicine!
"When Dr. Cooper suggested going to another hospital to borrow a dose, Mom immediately pushed me and asked me to go with the head nurse. On the way, she messaged me, telling me to switch the medicine!
"She had already arranged for someone at that hospital. By the time I arrived, the medicine given to me had already been switched. This way, I would be cleared of suspicion. Because the head nurse had been with me all the time, she could testify that I didn't do anything.
"Mom said that Kelvin is too smart and wise and that the plan must be cautious.
"Mom also said that your accident was a stroke of luck for her, as she saved a lot of effort and could get rid of you..." Anthony's voice trailed off, and he curled up on the ground, still too afraid to open his eyes.
Mr. Davis asked, "Why did she do this? We've been married for so many years. What did I do wrong? She is the wife of the Davis family, and you? If she wanted to do that, couldn't you have stopped her? You disobedient son!"
"Because you didn't give me any shares!" Anthony shivered as he replied, "Without shares, I have no say in the Davis family, the board won't accept me, and I won't have a share of the Davis family's assets..."
"So, it's all about money," Mr. Davis laughed, "You and your mother, for your own benefit, can put me in a life-threatening situation without the slightest consideration for the previous relationship between husband and wife, father and son! How ruthless!"
Anthony clung to Mr. Davis's leg, crying and begging, "I was wrong; I've been regretting all these years; I shouldn't have listened to Mom...
"Dad, if you were there, Kelvin wouldn't dare to bully me like this.
"Dad, you go and take mom’s life; it was her idea, the medicine she gave, all of this is what she wanted to see. She forced me, and I didn't want to do it at all!
"Let me go. I'm only in my twenties. I still have a great life and future ahead. Please don't take me away!" Anthony sobbed, tears streaming down his face. "I've told you everything, Dad. Please let me go. After all, I'm your son!"
Before he could finish, Mr. Davis kicked him directly.
Anthony let out a cry of pain and immediately crawled over, using both hands and feet. He yelled, "Dad!"
He was now completely engulfed in fear. All the guilty things he had done came to mind, and he felt that retribution had come. Mr. Davis was here to avenge him and take him away. His fate was sealed.
So, he pushed the blame onto Lily.
His own survival was the most important thing!
"Good boy," Mr. Davis responded, "You've been obedient and said everything."
Anthony was stunned. This voice... something was off.
How come it was different from before?
The previous voice was old, weak, and hoarse, but now!?
