Chapter 845 I Finished Drinking It All, You Do As You Please

Every night Monica spent alone with Timothy felt like being in prison!

It was torture like sitting on pins and needles!

Although Timothy never laid a hand on her, he was so casual about everything. He'd take a shower while she was still in the room, then come out with just a towel wrapped around him, not bothering to put on pajamas...

Thinking back on it now, Monica felt her scalp tingle.

Those days were finally over!

She was free!

Just as she was lost in thought, Penelope suddenly asked, "So, you two spent all those nights together and nothing happened?"

"What?"

"It's normal for something to happen. That's how stories are made."

"Penelope!" Monica reached out to hit her. "Whose side are you on anyway?"

Penelope dodged with a laugh. "I'm just using normal logic to make a guess."

It was obvious Timothy liked Monica.

Men have a natural instinct to chase and hunt, enjoying the process of getting what they want step by step.

Penelope had been through it, so she knew what could happen when a man and a woman were alone in a hotel room.

She had suffered a lot at Kelvin's hands! She had experience!

But whether Timothy was just terrible at it or Monica was too hard to get, it seemed their relationship was still pure for now.

When women get together, they chatter, laugh, eat, and drink.

At this moment, at the Ocean Hotel.

In the VIP suite, Kelvin walked in, led by the manager.

The table was already full, with only the main seat left empty.

That seat, of course, was reserved for Kelvin!

"Mr. Davis!" The head of the talent agency immediately stood up to greet him. "You're finally here, please sit, please sit!"

The head was extremely enthusiastic.

Kelvin's status in LA was incredibly high!

Meeting Kelvin today was beyond his wildest dreams!

Meeting Kelvin required an appointment!

And now, Kelvin had specifically asked to see him!

Thessaly was seated next to Kelvin.

She had put on light makeup today and was dressed rather revealingly, in an off-the-shoulder top that showcased her fair shoulders and elegant collarbone.

Kelvin's gaze swept over her.

"Hello, Mr. Davis," Thessaly greeted him, her attitude quite indifferent, nothing like the head's enthusiasm.

But she glanced at the suite door, then withdrew her gaze in disappointment.

Kelvin sat down and said calmly, "She's not coming."

"What?" Thessaly asked. "Why? I really wanted to see Mrs. Davis again."

"She had something come up tonight, so she couldn't make it, but..."

Kelvin leaned slightly towards her. "She promised you something, and I'll make sure it happens."

Thessaly nodded.

With Kelvin's assurance, her restless heart finally found peace.

She didn't even know how she had gotten through the day.

Ever since Kelvin arranged this dinner, people had been coming to see her nonstop.

From the head of the talent agency to the newest artists, everyone was checking in on her.

This was treatment Thessaly had never experienced before.

She wasn't the most popular or well-connected person in the company. Though she was a big star in the entertainment industry, her treatment was just average.

It was clear that everyone's attitude towards her was changing.

All these changes were because of Kelvin!

One person could have such a huge influence, every gesture and move exuding authority and power!

Everyone present was sharp, exchanging glances as Kelvin and Thessaly spoke quietly.

They all understood.

It was normal for a man, especially one with power and good looks, to be a bit of a flirt.

Someone like Kelvin couldn't possibly be devoted to just his wife.

Everyone had been guessing what kind of woman Kelvin liked, who could catch his eye.

Now the answer was clear.

Thessaly!

Comparing Thessaly to Penelope, they actually had a lot in common, both in terms of temperament and appearance.

Neither of them was the delicate type; they had their own opinions and ways of doing things.

It seemed Kelvin had a type!

Anyone wanting to please Kelvin or win his favor should look for elegant beauties to send his way.

Catering to his preferences was the way to get things done!

"Mr. Davis," the head of the talent agency said with a smile full of wrinkles, "being able to dine with you is truly my honor. Thank you for giving me this opportunity. Here, I toast to you!"

Kelvin looked at the white wine in front of him.

He usually didn't drink during social events.

Unless he felt like it, he didn't enjoy the feeling of being drunk and disoriented.

During the four years he lost Penelope, he had numbed himself with alcohol every day and had grown tired of it.

If he didn't want to drink, no one could force him.

But today.

Kelvin was here to ask for a favor.

"No need for formalities." Kelvin raised his glass. "Cheers."

He downed the wine in one gulp.

He thought that would be the end of it, but the head turned to Thessaly. "Thessaly, you don't need me to introduce Mr. Davis to you, right? I specifically arranged for you to sit next to Mr. Davis. You need to keep him company and take good care of him!"

Thessaly frowned.

She didn't like the sound of that.

What did they mean by "take care"?

What were they thinking?

She and Kelvin were completely innocent, with no relationship whatsoever!

Luckily, Penelope wasn't here. Otherwise, who knew what she would think if she heard this?If she misunderstood, it would be a big problem.

Kelvin and Penelope were her benefactors, giving her endorsements and helping her terminate contracts. She was very grateful but never had any inappropriate thoughts!

At that moment, the agent sitting across from Thessaly gestured to her shoulder, indicating she should pull her off-the-shoulder top down a bit.

Kelvin's expression turned cold.

These little tricks and schemes couldn't escape his notice!

It seemed they thought he was interested in Thessaly!

"Come on, Thessaly." The head personally poured a glass of wine and handed it to Thessaly. "Take it. You need to toast Mr. Davis properly. Mr. Davis specifically asked to see you. You're the star tonight!"

Thessaly took the glass and immediately downed it in one gulp.

The spicy wine hit her head, burning her throat, almost bringing tears to her eyes!

Everyone was stunned.

"I've finished my drink," Thessaly said. "Mr. Davis, feel free."

She didn't want to toast anymore. She could see that Kelvin didn't want to drink tonight.

But Kelvin had forced himself to drink the head's toast for her sake. She felt bad enough seeing that, how could she continue to toast him?
