Chapter 913 How Much I Have Done to Get You

Paul had hooked up with plenty of actresses, but Thessaly was different. She was distant and hard to get. He didn't have the patience to actually date her or win her over. So, he took a different approach.

After all, it was just for fun.

In the entertainment world, everyone was looking for a good time.

Brandon had the same idea.

So, they went ahead with their plan.

"Take her away," Brandon said, waving his hand like it was no big deal. "Thessaly's all yours."

"Thanks, Mr. Walker!"

"But be careful," Brandon warned. "She still has to star in this movie, got it?"

"Got it! I know what I'm doing!"

"Alright, go on then."

With Brandon's go-ahead, Paul eagerly made his way to Thessaly.

Tonight was going to be amazing! He was pumped!

The first time he saw Thessaly, he knew she was something special. Her aloofness made her stand out.

Finally, she was his!

Paul helped Thessaly out of the private room.

Brandon walked over to Penelope, knelt, and gently traced his fingers along her cheek.

"Penelope," he whispered. "Do you know what I've become for you? Do you know how much I've done to have you?"

"I hardly recognize myself anymore. The things I once despised, looked down upon, even hated, I'm now doing them one by one."

"In this process, I've come to understand Isabella's mindset. Why wouldn't she turn back, wouldn't admit her mistakes, why would she rather die than live in disgrace."

"It turns out, the pain of not being able to have the one you love is unbearable. Every night, it gnaws at your heart."

Since Isabella's death, Brandon suddenly felt like he had nothing.

Everything he once had was just an illusion.

He had never truly possessed anything.

And what he truly wanted had been taken by Kelvin!

"Don't hate me, Penelope, I love you," Brandon gazed at her peaceful, sleeping face. "I won't hurt you, I just want to have you."

With the woman he loved right in front of him, his heart ached, and a heat rose within him.

Brandon's hand slid down, passing her neck and waist, intending to lift her.

A phone rang from a nearby purse.

Brandon glanced at it.

At this hour, it was probably Kelvin calling.

He scoffed, took out the phone, and saw several missed calls and messages from Kelvin.

The phone kept ringing. Brandon shoved it back into the purse, tossed it onto a chair by the dining table, and then carried Penelope out of the private room.

Before leaving, he glanced at the surveillance camera, narrowing his eyes.

Whatever Kelvin could think of, he had already anticipated.

Brandon wouldn't leave any traces, no evidence pointing to him!

He was a well-known figure in LA, with skills and cunning that rivaled Kelvin's!

This was Brandon's first time executing such a covert plan, and he was more cautious and meticulous than ever!

The phone in the private room kept ringing.

But no one would answer it!

At The King Manor.

In the living room, Kelvin sat on the couch, legs crossed, his expression growing darker by the minute.

The servants didn't dare make a sound, fearing they might provoke Kelvin's wrath.

Kelvin slammed his phone down and rubbed his temples.

Lucy jumped in surprise. "Dad?"

Kelvin's heart sank.

He had forgotten the kids were right there.

"Just slipped," Kelvin forced a smile, trying to soften his expression. "Don't worry, Lucy."

"I thought you were mad and threw your phone."

He denied it. "No."

Sam glanced at Kelvin. "You were calling Mom, weren't you?"

Kelvin didn't answer.

"Did she go out drinking with Godmother again?" Sam speculated. "And you got left behind to stay home with me and Lucy?"

"Shut up."

"I'm going to say it anyway." Sam made a face. "Give Mom some space. She's not out on a date with a guy. Why are you so strict?"

Kelvin snorted. "A guy? A date? She better not even think about it!"

"Calm down, calm down," Sam said. "She'll be back in an hour."

An hour? Kelvin couldn't wait another minute!

Not wanting his mood to affect the kids, he got up and left the living room, stepping outside the villa.

Fall had arrived, and the evening breeze carried a chill.

Kelvin looked up at the night sky. Stars were scattered across the sky, emitting faint light.

There was always one that belonged to him and Penelope.

After a while, the wind did nothing to calm Kelvin's nerves. Instead, he grew more agitated.

He should have gone with Penelope to meet Thessaly tonight.

If Penelope wasn't answering her phone, maybe she hadn't seen it. But Thessaly wouldn't dare ignore his call!

With that thought, Kelvin quickly dialed Thessaly's number.

Still, no answer!

Kelvin's expression darkened completely.

Something was wrong.

How could he not reach both Penelope and Thessaly?

Kelvin immediately called another number, demanding, "Where's Brandon?"

"Mr. Davis," the bodyguard reported, "Brandon returned home this afternoon and hasn't left since. We're stationed outside the Walker Mansion, and there's been no movement."

"Have any cars left the Walker Mansion?"

"One car did, but it's a regular vehicle used by the mansion. Brandon usually doesn't ride in it, let alone drive it."

Kelvin frowned.

Brandon could be in that car!

The more Kelvin thought about it, the more panicked he became, his chest heaving with anxiety.

"Go to the Walker Mansion immediately. I don't care how you do it, just," Kelvin ordered, "make sure you see Brandon in person, whether he's home or not!"

"Yes, Mr. Davis!"

Kelvin didn't waste any time and headed straight to the garage.

He had to get to the restaurant immediately! He needed to see Penelope in person to be at ease!

Otherwise, he couldn't calm down!

The sports car roared as it sped out of the King Manor.

Lucy looked up, blinking at the window. "Did Dad just drive out?"
