Chapter 941 Initiating a Kiss with Him, That Is Her Answer!

Timothy was dressed to the nines in a suit and bow tie, every detail meticulously in place, his hair slicked back. He looked way more serious than his usual laid-back self... and he was nervous.

Yeah, he was nervous.

"Monica." Timothy's voice came through, carried by the wind, with a slight tremor. "You, you came."

He stepped out of the heart-shaped circle and walked up to her, handing her the bouquet he was holding.

A bouquet of icy blue roses.

Blue and white, elegant and sophisticated, carefully wrapped.

"For you," Timothy said. "It matches your outfit today."

She was wearing a long-sleeved, light blue dress, her hair loosely pinned up with a few strands falling casually. She looked beautiful.

Of course... in Timothy's eyes, she always looked beautiful!

Monica reached out and took the bouquet, the faint fragrance of the flowers wafting up to her.

She bit her lip, saying nothing.

"I'm sorry, I had Penelope bring you here," Timothy said. "I... was afraid if I invited you, you'd refuse."

He stammered, his words coming out in fits and starts.

Monica continued to look at him, making him even more nervous.

Timothy took a deep breath.

The wind blew their clothes around.

"Three days ago, I confessed my feelings to you," Timothy said. "If you think about it, Monica, we've known each other for years. All this time, I never really understood my own feelings, which is why we never truly got together."

"Three days later, which is now, is when you said you'd give me your answer."

"You might not know how I've spent these three days. People say time flies, but for me, every second felt like an eternity. Every second, every minute was torture, just waiting."

"I was afraid time would pass too quickly, and I wouldn't be ready. But I was also afraid it would pass too slowly, and I wouldn't get to hold your hand sooner."

"Now that the moment is here, I feel at peace."

Timothy looked into her eyes, nervous and a bit awkward, but his genuine emotions made him seem even more sincere and touching.

"No matter what your answer is, whether you accept or reject me, I have to do what I need to do, what I want to do," Timothy said. "I'll give you everything I want to give you, and whether you take it or like it, that's up to you."

"At least, I won't have any regrets."

Monica held the bouquet, looking down, gently playing with the flowers.

She called his name, "Timothy."

"Yeah," he responded immediately.

It was as if she were a drill sergeant calling his name.

Monica chuckled.

"I've made up my mind. Three days were enough for me to think it through." She looked up, meeting his eyes again. "I was planning to meet you and talk it out, but I didn't expect you and Penelope to trick me into coming here first."

Timothy grew even more nervous, not daring to blink. "Have you really thought it through?"

"I have."

"Are you sure about your choice... no regrets?"

"I..."

"Wait." Timothy took another deep breath. "Monica, I'm not forcing you to accept me, and I'm not afraid of you rejecting me. I just want you to be sure."

Monica nodded. "I understand. I didn't misunderstand. But you, Timothy, are you ready for my answer?"

One second, two seconds, three seconds... Timothy suddenly turned around.

The wind blew in his face, making him feel more awake.

"Let's wait a bit," he said. "I need a moment."

"Okay."

Monica agreed, quietly watching his back.

They had known each other for years, always bickering when they met, but in the end... they had grown to love each other over time.

People say... time is the longest confession of love.

She and Timothy had known each other for so long; he had always been single, and she hadn't found a boyfriend either. After meeting so many different people, they still felt each other was the best, the most suitable.

Monica had seen Timothy's back many times, but today, she felt his figure was tall and his shoulders broad.

She really wanted... to lean on him.

It would probably feel very solid.

Would his embrace be able to shield her from the wind on this rooftop?

In the distance, in a corner.

Penelope was getting nervous, clenching her fists.

Until a large hand landed on her waist, and Kelvin's voice came through. "Why are you nervous?"

"Because... I don't know what Monica's answer will be."

"We'll find out soon."

"What if she says no?" Penelope asked. "The main event is still to come."

Timothy must have prepared more than just the rooftop.

If Monica didn't agree, everything else would go to waste, never seeing the light of day.

Kelvin answered calmly, "Whether she says yes or no, Timothy will show Monica everything he prepared."

"Why? How do you know?"

"A man's intuition, plus understanding between friends."

As he spoke, Kelvin pulled her closer.

"Penelope, it's windy here. Be careful not to catch a cold."

She leaned into his embrace, laughing. "If... later, Monica leans into Timothy's embrace like this, that would be great."

Kelvin didn't answer, just held her tighter.

Finally, Timothy turned around, meeting Monica's gaze once more.

His eyes were a bit red.

Whether from the wind or... something else.

"Ready?" Monica asked softly. "Can I speak now?"

Timothy's Adam's apple bobbed, and he finally nodded. "…Okay."

He held his breath, looking at her, his gaze dropping to her red lips, waiting for her answer.

But... he didn't get it.

Because Monica didn't say a word!

She walked right up to Timothy, holding the flowers in one hand, and with the other, she hooked it around his neck and kissed him.

The rooftop was silent.

The loudest sound... Timothy thought, was his heartbeat!

It was all so sudden!

Monica actually kissed him!

That was... her answer!

She kissed him, she loved him, she accepted him!

Timothy's pupils contracted, his mind going blank for two seconds, and then he was dazed for two seconds, before he finally reacted.

A man's instincts, his nature, began to stir, unable to be suppressed!

He immediately grabbed Monica's waist, taking control, deepening the kiss.

Monica had only lightly touched his lips, but he directly pried them open, invading deeply!

In the romantic, beautiful atmosphere, the two were kissing!

This moment, long awaited, had finally come true!

Truly in love, embracing, kissing!

Monica didn't say a word, but she told Timothy she was willing.

She was willing to be with him, to be each other's one and only!

Just then, a brilliant firework exploded in the sky.
