Chapter 771 Sam Is Your Biological Son, Your Own Flesh and Blood
Kelvin nodded, "Yes, Brian is being resuscitated, and his condition is still unclear. But Sam is not in any life-threatening danger, just lost a lot of blood and has deep wounds that need careful stitching."
"That's great," Penelope said, tears of joy welling up in her eyes. "I thought Brian..."
"He's still alive. But Isabella is dead, she died on the spot."
"She brought it on herself, why drag an innocent life down with her?" Penelope said. "Neither Sam nor Brian, not even a stranger on the street, should have to pay with their life for Isabella's madness! She can die if she wants, no one will die with her!"
Kelvin patted her head, "Don't get worked up, your body hasn't fully recovered yet."
"No, I'm fine now."
Kelvin took her hand, his thumb brushing over the needle marks on the back of her hand. "It's swollen because you moved around too much."
"It's nothing, I still want to go to the operating room." She felt uneasy.
Sam was hurt because of her, and Brian was hurt because of her too!
Kelvin was hurt too!
"Did you get your wounds bandaged?" Penelope checked his body. "I remember when you went to save Sam, Isabella's knife was swinging wildly, you got hurt."
As she spoke, she lifted Kelvin's sleeve, then pulled down his collar, and even tried to unbutton his shirt.
The more anxious she got, the harder it was to unbutton.
She said, "Take it off yourself, quick. I clearly saw you bleeding, where did the wound go? Don't you know how to take care of yourself? Just sitting there foolishly keeping me company?"
"Untreated wounds can get infected and leave scars." Penelope pressed herself against Kelvin, anxiously trying to find his wound.
Kelvin said nothing, just looked down at her anxious face, a smile unconsciously forming at the corner of his mouth.
She was worried about him.
He relished and enjoyed this feeling.
"Kelvin, are you mute..."
Before Penelope could finish, a voice suddenly exclaimed from the doorway, "Oh my God."
Monica quickly turned around, covering Timothy's eyes.
She said, "Did we come at a bad time? What did I just see, is there something wrong with my eyes?"
Timothy asked, "What did you see?"
"Something we shouldn't see."
"This is the infusion room," Timothy said. "Kelvin wouldn't be that desperate, right? Besides, after such a thrilling event, who would have the mood for that?"
Monica coughed, "Shut up."
Penelope was stunned for a few seconds before realizing how easily her actions could be misunderstood.
She was just worried about Kelvin's wounds!
She quickly stepped back, but in her haste, she tripped over herself.
Kelvin extended his long arm and caught her in his embrace.
"Come in," he said. "Timothy, can you think of something proper?"
"Can you do something proper?" Timothy retorted. "If you didn't act out, Monica and I wouldn't think wrongly."
Penelope's face felt a bit hot. "I was just checking Kelvin's wounds."
She was too worried to think much.
"It's okay, no need to explain," Monica interrupted, raising her hand. "You two are married, it's perfectly reasonable and legal."
"No, even if we wanted to, we wouldn't do it here!"
The more she explained, the more confusing it got.
Monica walked in, "Seeing you two like this, I'm relieved, there shouldn't be any major issues. I was so worried when I heard Sam was in danger!"
Timothy added, "Yeah, I floored the gas pedal, the tires were almost smoking."
On the way, they kept asking for the latest updates.
By the time they got here, everything was over.
"Good thing Sam is okay. Isabella was truly insane," Monica said, curling her lip. "She went after my goddaughter and then my godson. Even if she's buried, I'd dig her up and whip her corpse!"
Kelvin squinted slightly, "Godson?"
"Yes." Monica nodded.
Wasn't it said that when Isabella held Sam hostage, Sam's identity was already revealed?
Why did Kelvin still look so surprised?
She glanced at Penelope.
"When did you make Sam your godson?" Kelvin asked. "Did you get anyone's permission?"
"I got Sam's mom's permission!"
Kelvin asked again, "You know Molly?"
Monica almost choked, "Huh?"
Even Timothy looked confused.
"I was planning to make Sam my godson," Kelvin said calmly. "Didn't expect you to beat me to it."
Monica and Timothy exchanged glances.
What was going on?
"Uh, Kelvin," Timothy rubbed his nose, "you know Sam is your son, right?"
"I know."
Timothy sighed in relief, "That's good."
"But that was just a lie to confuse Isabella," Kelvin said. "If Sam didn't say he was my son, how could Isabella have let Penelope go and taken him as a hostage?"
Timothy and Monica both looked at Penelope in unison.
Their eyes seemed to say: "You hid it too well. Kelvin doesn't believe the truth now. What are you going to do? Better explain it clearly."
"Why are you looking at Penelope?" Kelvin raised an eyebrow, "Is there something strange about her?"
Penelope bit her lip in frustration and gently tugged at his sleeve, "Kelvin."
"Yes?"
"Sam is your son."
"Yes, a godson is still a son."
"Not a godson," Penelope emphasized, "a biological son, your own flesh and blood."
Timothy could barely hold back his laughter, but didn't dare laugh out loud, so he lowered his head, his shoulders shaking, and coughed heavily to suppress his laughter.
Monica's face was almost cramping from holding back her laughter.
She didn't want to laugh, but she couldn't help it!
Kelvin's expression slowly hardened.
Penelope took a deep breath, carefully watching him, "Kelvin, Sam is your biological son."
"Biological son?"
"Yes," Penelope confirmed, "your own flesh and blood. If you still don't believe it, you can do a paternity test."
Kelvin's face darkened, making Penelope extremely nervous.
She hadn't seen him like this in a long time.
