Chapter 246 Kissed Other Women
Soon, the secretary came out of the vice president's office. "Mr. Eilish says he won't see any visitors."
Susan expected this result.
Caleb was very proud and had a strong sense of self-esteem. He wouldn't let her see him so easily.
After finishing the socializing at 8 o'clock and refusing the second social event, Susan returned home and gave Oliver a bath.
Oliver stuck to her even more tonight. He insisted on sleeping together and lay down on her bed early. Oliver blinked his eyes, so adorable that Susan had the impulse to grab and kiss him crazily.
So cute. Her son was the cutest little baby in the world.
"Mommy, mommy, it's ten o'clock, time to sleep," Oliver urged.
"Okay, I'm coming." Susan tidied up the blueprints and lay down on the bed.
Oliver rolled into Susan's quilt.
"So warm and comfortable," Oliver exclaimed happily.
"It's the happiest thing to sleep with Mommy."
"I like Mommy's fragrance."
"You are the fragrant one." Susan loved smelling the milky scent on Oliver's body, she had liked it since he was born.
She also wanted to hug Oliver to sleep every night, but she often had social events at night and would come home very late. Afraid of disturbing Oliver's sleep, she could only let Oliver sleep alone.
"Go to sleep."
"Okay." Oliver obediently closed his eyes.
His long eyelashes fell on his beautiful face, and his lips were like pink jelly.
Susan was relieved that Oliver was still young and his features hadn't fully developed yet. He resembled her more, looking delicate. If Oliver had looked like Caleb, it would have been discovered.
When she thought of Caleb, Susan's mood became heavy again.
The truth would eventually come to light. Every day she spent with Oliver felt like stolen time.
The phone vibrated and the screen flickered.
Caleb?
Susan felt nervous.
It was after 10 o'clock, why would he call at this time?
Susan hesitated with her phone in hand, wanting to hang up, but ultimately answered quietly.
"Night Club."
"What?"
The background music was very loud, like in a bar, and Susan couldn't hear very clearly. She frowned and leaned back.
"Didn’t you want to see me? Come to the Night Club now."
"It's late, how about tomorrow?"
"Susan, you need to understand that you are the one who wants to see me now."
Susan didn't like his dominance. He used to be extremely gentle and submissive to her, but now he was always arrogant as if he were a god and she was just an ant at his feet.
"I have something to do right now; I can't go."
"Are you with another man?" Caleb coldly sneered. "Come to me immediately, or, you will never see me again."
He hung up the phone.
"He’s lost a few screws," Susan couldn't help but mutter.
She thought angrily, 'What gave him the right to be so proud? If he doesn't show up, it's fine with her, she doesn't want to see him again. Plus, Victoria took the day off, she couldn't leave her son alone at home.
Susan turned off the lights and went to sleep, but she couldn't stop thinking about Layla and the baby in her belly.
Susan thought that she was already too busy with her own affairs and couldn't afford to take risks for others. But on the other hand, she couldn't bear to think of Layla and the suffering of the child.
After tossing and turning for half an hour, Susan sat up and decided to go and come back quickly.
She quietly changed her clothes, kissed Oliver on the forehead, and murmured, "I'll be right back."
When Susan rushed to the nightclub as quickly as possible, it was already half past eleven.
The manager led Susan to the VIP room.
What Susan saw when she opened the door made her disgusted.
There was a group of young masters in the room. They looked respectable, but they surrounded themselves with a dozen hostesses, each with one on the left and one on the right. They looked like they were enjoying themselves and indulging in it.
The strong smell of smoke and alcohol almost made Susan vomit.
She had seen scenes like this before during her work, but what really disgusted her was that the man sitting in the middle was Caleb.
Even though he now treated her like an enemy, she knew they were no longer possible, but he was still a man she had loved before. Seeing him smoking, drinking, and reveling with beautiful women sitting beside him made her very uncomfortable, even angry.
Other men had women sitting on their laps, only he didn't. The women on his left and right were eagerly trying to please him and fed him drinks.
He squinted his eyes, looking provokingly at Susan, then grabbed a woman and kissed her.
"Wow!" the men cheered.
The woman eagerly caressed his chest.
It felt like Susan's heart had been stabbed. She couldn't look directly at it and turned her face away.
It felt like they were kissing for a long time before the cheering and applause died down.
The green light shone on Susan's face, making her lips appear even paler.
She closed her eyes and took a deep breath before reluctantly turning to look at him.
Caleb's mouth was covered in red lipstick, and his shirt had two buttons undone, giving him the appearance of a playboy. He sneered at her wildly.
He was humiliating her, provoking her.
But Susan wouldn't let him succeed. She approached him with an indifferent expression. "Mr. Eilish."
"Is this beauty Mr. Eilish's girlfriend?"
"She's really tall."
"So, Mr. Eilish likes women like this, with a sexy figure."
The gentlemen openly ogled Susan, like a pack of wolves eyeing a piece of meat. They were restless, ready to pounce at any moment.
Caleb pushed away the woman beside him and patted the empty seat, gesturing for Susan to sit beside him.
Susan stood still.
"Stop pretending."
Susan reluctantly approached and sat down beside Caleb, but with a bit of distance between them.
This deliberate distance made Caleb very unhappy. "Am I a virus?"
Other women would leap at him crazily. Only she was always keeping her distance as if she were very conservative.
But it was all an act!
"I've slept with you so many times, but you still keep your distance from me," Caleb sneered, his words piercingly hurtful.
Susan didn't want to argue with him. "I want to talk to you about the project."
"Why are you so ungrateful? We're here to have fun, not for business talks. Are you deliberately ruining the mood?" one of the gentlemen grumbled in discontent.
"Idiot! Can't you tell it's just an excuse? If she didn't play these tricks, Mr. Eilish wouldn't sleep with her, would he?"
"Hahaha, wow, women these days have so many tricks up their sleeves. Is this a new tactic?"
"Impressive."
"Mr. Eilish, just have a business talk with her."
Everyone chimed in with laughter.
Caleb tugged at the corner of his mouth, coldly. In the blue light, his gaze was deep and sharp like a wolf. "Susan, are you pretending to have amnesia? Is that strong woman who said that she didn't care about my money and she'd rather starve than accept my favor, dead?"
